The new dishwasher does not hold as many dishes as my old one and the racks are not as sturdy. However, it cleans and drys the dishes nicely and is very quiet. I also like that all sides of the dishwasher are black, rather than just the front. It is also very easy to hook up and use. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

I heard somewhere that portable dishwashers only last about five years due to the extra strain of being moved constantly and hooked and unhooked from the sink etc. My last Whirlpool portable lasted 12 years. So it was a given that I was going back to them for the new one. It's not that I was in love with the old one, but with that sort of longevity, I thought it made sound financial sense. I had no idea that it would be an upgrade. The new one has less intrusive parts that get in the way of filling it, so it can hold more and bigger objects than the old one. On the downside, the utensil tray sits inside the machine, which limits space some, but also get them cleaner. Also the drawers feel flimsier than the old unit's. The feel of the whole thing feels cheaper, but we'll see how long it actually lasts. The controls on the door are a little more streamlined compared to before, and there are less options for waiting to wash (only 4 hours), but it does look nicer.

My wife and I decided that the child lock this washer offers pretty much sealed the deal for us. With the exception of a couple of utensils that didn't get completely clean, this baby works like a charm. Granted, we have only had ours less than a month...

I am happy with the dishwasher after 4 weeks of owning it. It is very quiet and runs fine. The two hour cycle may be a long time energy wise. I will have to see how my energy bill does to fully know. The one hour cycle I am not sure cleans them enough. It may though. Will evaluate as time goes on. A little early to give a complete review. I will make a more thorough evaluation after 6 months to a year have elapsed. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.

It is my first dishwasher, and I love it. So far no problems. It took a few times for me to remember all the steps to start it, but that comes with any portable dishwasher. It's hard to remember to turn hot water on. I'm glad I went with the portable option because it would be too far in the corner of my kitchen and I wouldn't use it as much otherwise. I wish I had gotten this years ago.

Bought this to clean dishes. It cleans dishes. It heats the water and heats everything for the drying stage. One cleaning cycle takes about four hours. There is an optional one hour setting that I haven't used yet.

it is the easiest portable dishwasher to use. works wonderful. I would recommend it to any one looking for a portable.

Even though Whirlpool purchased Maytag I much preferred the Maytag portable model over this one. A shame that Whirlpool discontinued the Maytag portable.

This is my first portable dishwasher, and I am completely satisfied with it. I was afraid it wouldn't clean well since it's not a built-in, and I was worried that it would be a hassle to hook up to the sink. Happily, neither is true: The dishes have come out clean every time I've washed them, and not only is the hookup to the sink easy and secure, the machine rolls across the floor very easily. And it's even possible to get water from the sink faucet while the dishwasher is hooked up. The normal cycle is long - more than two hours - but it has a "one-hour" wash option (which is slightly longer than an hour) that is not as energy efficient, but it is quicker if time is of the essence. Overall, I'm very pleased with it, and though it was a bit pricey, I'm mostly left wondering why I didn't buy one of these months ago!

I have had to get used to this new dishwasher. My old one was great! I'm still tweaking how much soap to use, and the position of the silverware, and plates.

Its great! Has made our life a breeze! Just make sure to use heated wash setting and dry to get the most out of this dishwasher.

Very nice dishwasher. Bought it to give as a gift to my parents for Christmas. They love it.

Had to get a portable as my kitchen has no available counter space. This one works very well, is fairly quite, and doubles as workspace when not in use. The only issue which I knew about before purchasing is that the cycle takes 3-4 hours to do on heavy with drying. I just run it at night. Much better than doing dishes by hand.

After 20-25 washes this dishwasher is leaking a lot all over my floor. It's not coming from faucet either. It's under warranty, but Whirlpool can't find a repairman to fix it because the place you buy it from usually services them. Since it came from Best Buy they don't have dishwasher repairman. So for the past month I'm either stuck with a flooded kitchen floor or doing dishes by hand after I spent $700 to buy this dishwasher.
