Love the refrigerator but poor design on the inside

Unit works fine with open space. Finish is an issue

This refrigerator is very nice for the price point.

Had the repair company here twice in first 8 weeks Ice machine does not make enough ice The first time he was here he said if I have more problems he would order a new ice maker second time he was here he just said He will tell the company I do not like the machine he never worked on the machine ice machine gets clogged up constantly he told me poor engineering Light never comes on in the freezer he says ice causes the problem but they refuse to fix anything do not buy

I like it now. When I first got it I had to return it because the doors did not shut right. They had to try to fix it which did not work then replaced. The new one seems to be working great.

We updated our appliances after our old fridge went out after over 20 years of service. We purchased this unit as part of a package and have had nothing but problems. Just after the 1 year warranty was up the ice maker stopped working. That ended up being a $150 part plus service fees. Next up was the door sensors which failed and so the alarm beeps constantly and you can use the water or ice maker. The other pieces by this manufacturer have the same level of quality and have required repairs. Buyer beware on this product

bought this fridge on an open box deal. It was in perfect shape at the store. By the time it got to me the bottom drawer had a scratch as well as wavy dents in it. Had to refuse the shipment.

Fridge handles were scratched and dents in the side of the fridge. Was told there was nothing that can be done for us. Our last time shopping with best buy.

Had two problems with the refrigerator initially. After the original parts were replaced it worked fine. However, the experience leaves me concerned with how long it will last.

So far I like it. Trying to get used to the new controls. Love the deli drawer but wish the bottom basket would come out when u open the drawer instead of having to reach n and pull it out

The fridge is just fine. The damage to the doors and drawer is unexceptable. We are still waiting for the gift card to cover the damages

This is the 4 refrigerator through the exchange.... The delivery men were not friendly..... This overall experience has been a nightmare...

I frequently get the door open light. You have to make sure the left door is closed first to avoid the light coming on.

I have this fridge since one week now. I usually don't write a review that quick, however, I would like to share a solution about problems/disappointments I read in several reviews. Some people were complaining about the water stream coming out of the dispenser. Water stream very low.The manual AND a sticker on the back of the fridge state clearly NOT to use a self-piercing saddle valve or a saddle valve that needs to have a whole drilled into the water pipe of 3/16" in diameter. The right valve is a 1/4" saddle valve. The self-piercing saddle valves say on the package it is 1/4" but it is the size of connection of your water line going to the fridge. The actual whole you have to drill in plastic pipes or the whole that gets pierced is 3/16" or smaller. With that being said I was not able to find the right valve in 2 major hardware stores. The installation package that Best Buy offers does not contain the right valve either. To get the fridge going I bought the self-piercing valve. Yes, the water stream is disappointing. So I went on ebay and searched for a "Non-self piercing saddle valve" and actually found it. 1/4" saddle valve where you HAVE to drill a 1/4" whole into your supply pipe. I installed that one and the water stream is just fine. A difference of the water stream like day and night. What I don't like about this fridge is the power consumption. I was looking at a Samsung fridge with the same price and pretty much same size, however, without the extra produce drawer and I really wanted to have a fridge with the extra produce drawer. Everything else seemed to be the same. But this Whirlpool fridge consumes about 40% more power than the Samsung french door fridge in the same price group without the produce drawer. That is why I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars. Other than that I really like this fridge. I hope I was able to help some people with the "water stream" problem.

I’ve always loved my GE products but not this one. Purchased in 2016 and last year it started leaking from the bottom. Called GE and they sent a technician to the tune of $129 but he couldn’t help me. I was told there is a water line in the fridge that over a period of time will freeze causing the water to pool and ice in the bottom of the freezer. The technician broke up the ice and removed it and told me the only way to avoid the fridge from leaking water in the floor is to empty and unplug the fridge until the line is defrosted. He told us it was something that happens to all these fridges. I wished someone had written a review about this issue as now once a week I’m on my knees with a mallet breaking up and removing ice. Rrrrrr

ice maker should be smaller as it is too large for interior space taking up too much space

I would give the design of the fridge 5 stars. After owning the fridge for 2 months we noticed small rust spots in the stainless, especially where a magnet had been hanging. After a ton of web research,companies are using a stainless blend in their products that may rust. There are problems all over the web. Whirlpool sent us special cleaner, which doesn't help. I hear they won't do much for you after the first 30 days. Still trying to decide at 6 months which angle to pursue. We are careful with our appliances, so I'm nervous to see how it will look in another 6 months.

Ice maker got stuck often, handles were not completely sealed and were showing glue. Would not recommend.

My wife wanted door-in-door, I wanted the middle drawer. LG had a nice fridge with DiD that my wife liked, but price made me lean towards the Whirlpool and we eventually bought all Whirlpool appliances. Glad we did, we're thrilled with the entire set. The fridge looks good and performs well. Plenty of room for us, both fridge and freezer. Icemaker makes smaller cubes than we're used (a plus) and dispenses water and ice faster (also a plus). The display only lights up when you perform a function. It looks good lit up, but I like that it remains unobtrusive most of the time. The middle drawer is wonderful to have for high use items. It's mostly quiet, even when dispensing ice. Installers did a great job. Very happy with the entire experience.

Researched several brands of refrigerators before choosing the Whirlpool, just to be sure I did not see any negative comments on the model I was wanting to purchase. Everything looked positive so I purchased exactly what I wanted and for a reasonable cost. The 18 month no interest deal was also a great advantage as I do not like to pay interest charges. This refrigerator is everything Best Buy said it was, and even more. I absolutely love everything about it.
