The setup allows for easy access and an at-a-glance view of both your refrigerated and frozen food. The only down side what that there are larger gaps between shelves. Without adding organization shelving there can be a lot of wasted space.

This refrigerator doors have white haze or dust, and I cannot clean them even with the stainless steel cleaner. It seems like the stainless steel doors don't have any finish or coating. Best Buy was very quick to respond and send me the replacement. But the replacement has the exact same problem. This must be inherent to this model. The replacement even has the door alignment problem, which was fixed by the delivery guy. But now the door handles are not aligned. The photos are for the first refrigerator, which didn't have alignment issue.

Within a month of owning this refrigerator I’m already seeing weird rust stains and it does not clean at all. I have tried every single cleaning product on this refrigerator and it’s horrible. It’s definitely not fingerprint resistant either. I am so disappointed

Nice Refrigerator - BUT....

Purchased a suite of Whirlpool appliances from Best Buy. Did research on Whirlpool refrigerators and weighed the pros and cons of the reviews on this one - it is one of few without the water/ice maker feature - which I don't need or use. Had it delivered on Friday, July 23, 2021. The majority of the reviews say ‘loud/noisey’ or ‘quiet.’ 50/50 chance of one or the other. This is a nice refrigerator BUT….
1. Delivery Personnel – they are just that, delivery personnel not technicians. The doors were unlevel and they were able to adjust them to “almost” level with each other. Reading the owner’s manual there is a “door alignment tool” that comes with the unit. This tool assists with the “gap alignment” between the doors. Mine didn’t come with the tool and the delivery personnel said they couldn’t do anymore. I contacted Whirlpool. They would have to send out a technician to make the adjustments. So, the gap and door leveling can be fixed.
2. Noise level – yes it is ‘LOUD.’ Upon initial start-up it is popping, humming, whirling so loud I thought the thing was going to explode. Once it settled in to normal operation it is LOUD. It sounds like a helicopter flying over in the distance. I want to keep looking out the window to see what is going on – another car chase? Sitting across from it at my island working from home it left me with a headache. Quiet – yes. When not running. Contacted Whirlpool, the representative even said ‘yes this unit runs loud.’ But this loud? The noise is that of a more commercial refrigerator. Best used as a secondary refrigerator in the garage so you don’t hear the nose. (Ha ha moment – my powder room is directly behind the refrigerator and I can hear it running through the wall!) (website wouldn't allow me to upload video so you can hear the noise level)
3. Wheels – Wheels are plastic and do not have a locking mechanism. I tried to pull the door open and upon doing so the entire refrigerator rolled forward with it. The delivery personnel told me that when the refrigerator is full it will stay in place from the load when you pull the door open. (What?). I am only one person and will never have it full to capacity. Also, the plastic wheels rolled across my wood floor and left gouges. [See pictures.] (Note – I know my floors need to be refinished – but gouges?)
4. Leveling – how do you level it? One of the plastic wheels is ‘up inside’ the unit and cannot be retrieved down. So, the refrigerator leans backward.
5. Stainless Steel not fingerprint resistant – Note. It is NOT advertised as fingerprint resistant. The only thing that is fingerprint resistant are the handles. Reading the owner’s manual (and conversation with Whirlpool), I purchased a recommended Whirlpool product to clean the fingerprints off the doors and it takes a bit of effort to get it clean – but not great. Keep in mind there is a ‘protective coating’ on the stainless steel and you can’t even use a paper towel or it will scratch. No, mild soap and water really don’t do the trick either as the manual says.
Whirlpool – this is a nice refrigerator. Again, one of the few without the water/ice maker feature. Same size as and look as my 20 yr old Kenmore (that I no longer have). You have a product that would probably fly off the shelves if 1) improve the sound quality – muffle the motor noise; 2) make the door panels and handles fingerprint resistant; 3) wheels need to be rubber and with a locking/leveling mechanism. I’d buy it if those improvements were made.
Unfortunately, this one is going back.

Pros: good size, mostly keeps things cold
Cons: temperature inconsistent, cheaply made, shelves not adjustable, door easily gets fingerprints and scratches
While this isn't a super-expensive refrigerator, it isn't that inexpensive, either. It should be better.
First, the temperature. When set to "Ideal", the inside temperature varies between 27 (with some ice crystals on some foods) and 37. I used a refrigerator thermometer to check it. The next warmer temperature is too warm. And there are only 4 settings for the temperature.
Next, there are many things about this that just seem cheaply made. Parts that are glued together have glue coming out. And there wasn't enough glue on the name tag so that it doesn't stay flush. While the door shelves haven't broken, they bend a bit with heavy items. The drawers don't slide easily. It just has an overall feeling of cheapness with lots of plastic parts instead of metal.
The shelves in the main part aren't adjustable and don't seem to be at convenient heights. For example, the bottom shelf is just a little too low for a standard size mason jar to fit above the drawers. The shelves in the door are adjustable, though only in increments of about 2.5 inches.
And the finish on the doors easily gets fingerprints. It took a lot to get them out after delivery. And the doors scratch easily (i.e. if a fingernail brushes against them slightly).

Fridge is generously big inside for your food and groceries. Both sections have adequate cooling. Freezer section is nice and cold. Only reason I took off 1 star is because both drawers are so hard to pull out and push back in. They don't have rollers on them so they could glide smoothly. It rough plastic gliding against another rough plastic that are both not aligned to begin with. Poor design build on this part. Like it was an after thought. Otherwise very good fridge for the money.

Nothing special I have found more that I don’t like than I do and it’s been a day. The “ideal” temp setting brings the temp from 37 to 45 deg so it has to go one setting up which probably doubles your energy use. The shelves aren’t adjustable, however they're well placed. Lighting is horrible. Instructions are horrible, still trying to figure out how to adjust the wheels as one is a half inch lower than the other it is noisier than my 15 year old one I replaced but not too bad , there is grease everywhere way more than necessary and you can’t walk past the thing without marking up the doors. Door racks and space are great. If you were looking to spend less this is a nice upgrade if you were planning on spending more, this is no deal.

We have two whirlpool refrigerators, one in the garage. Our old refrigerator was great with no problems. We bought this new one last June, 2021, from Best Buy, and every single one of the gallon door bins have broken. Since we had two whirlpool refrigerators we initially just borrowed a bin from the other. So, now that they have all broken, we finally called whirlpool. whirlpool tells us it is out of warranty and wants to charge us $113.00 for “each” bin. Clearly whirlpool is making the new bins cheaper and will not stand behind their product when it breaks! Consider the cost of another $450.00 if you are buying this refrigerator.

I am very Please, with my purchase my only concern is It is not quiet. There is a hum that I am not pleased with. The size is perfect. I just cannot say enough about the gentleman that installed my refrigerator. They were polite and answered any questions that I had.

Had recently moved an old GE to the garage and it died, needed a replacement, and with covid it is impossible to get appliances it appears. I needed one with ice. Nothing is in stock but this one. Turns out it has everything internally to add the ice maker already baked in the fridge. Took me about an hr to add it and its working perfectly. The part kit is easily located online.
This is definitely a "Second Fridge" unit. Stripped down shelves, wire shelves in the freezer, but its spacious.
The refrigerator took 2 days to fully cool off, but the freezer was at temperature in a few hours. No matter the settings the refrigerator takes a significant amount of time to get to the correct temp. I would not advise putting food in the refrigerator part for at least a day.
The unit is very efficient drawing 1/2 the electricity of the GE that was there. and at California rates it will pay for itself in 8 years.

It's a little louder than our old refrigerator, but getting rid of the ice maker/water dispenser was the best decision in choosing this model. It comes with ice cube trays and we use a Brita pitcher, so it's exponentially better than moldy ice sitting there for weeks between uses and having to replace expensive proprietary water filters. All the extra space, much easier to see in the freezer due to the led lightbulbs, and simple clear shelves make this the best side-by-side fridge we've ever owned. Some people complain about fingerprints, which it is prone to, but we have a few magnets, a magnetic whiteboard, and recipes on there anyway, so it's not a big deal. Function > form.

Nice refrigerator, does run a little loud, and it is small inside. I like that it is side by side because I had a freezer on the bottom one and I hated that because you had to dig through the freezer to find anything. This refrigerator works great, there are also not enough door storage bins you have a big gap when you are trying to be able to store ketchup and BBQ sauce bottles. Also could use 1 more shelf in the refrigerator, either the shelves sit too close or far apart.

I know the trend is to have an outside ice/water dispenser, but I love the clean look of this side by side with out it! The fridge is spacious and the freezer has enough width to fit even those larger items like a full turkey for Thanksgiving! It operates nicely, and I love the overall look. Great buy!

First, the good part. The fridge is not advertised as counter-depth but its depth is much shallower than other similar capacity refrigerators. So it does not stick out as much and can almost pass as a counter depth model.
Also, it does not come with an ice maker. I consider it a Pro. Over half of the fridge repairs are related to ice maker. I am happy to not having one. As I don't have water to hook up and no need to change filters, etc.
Now the bad part. The fridge is a no thriller. It is extremely basic. There is not much temperature settings. The interior just looks cheap (the exterior is okay, if it is important to you.) I am also having a drawer that does not open/close smoothly.
BTW, there is a Maytag 24.9 c.f. fridge that is its identical twin, differs only at the handle. Sometimes one is on sale and the other is not.
