The noise is not constant but there are periods of 20 - 25 minutes when you hear a (humming/rattling) noise. Measurements show that it is consistently above 50 dB at 4ft. In other words, somewhat louder than a normal conversation. I discussed this with the service man sent by Whirlpool, and he said that this was normal. I just cannot believe that this is the standard noise level. Consumer Reports praised this model for being Very Good at noise. I have searched the Whirlpool site for help but did not find any good suggestions. I am now evaluating my next steps.

Great price for an open box buy

However, the freezer does not shut properly, creating condensation and an ice box. Freezer door and magnetic strip have been replaced. They are coming back to try and get it right for a 3rd time. Frustrated...

Issue is the freezer ices over near the front of the door causing the light switch to freeze up as well. I’m not sure if others have the same issue. Otherwise it does the job.

Even at the sale price of $1,300 it's still awful. I barely touched it when wiping a spot off the front and now I have a big huge permanent smudge across the front of it. we literally never have ice in the ice maker we have to smash it with a knife to unclog it. It has no alarm?! so we are constantly finding the doors open. And the shelving is very awkward. We had to take one out to make room. And the freezer is TINY!!! I do not recommend this refrigerator at all.
