Customers often highlight the ample space and appealing size of the 24.7 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator, along with its fingerprint-resistant finish and generally good value for the price. However, many reviews cite issues with the ice maker and excessive noise levels as significant drawbacks. Some users also reported problems with the door design and water filter.

This is the worst purchase I have ever done in my life. If you buy this make sure you get the extended warranty. I returned the first one because it was really noisy. The second one was still noisy but not like the first and I kept it. But it started to build some moisture in between the bottom door and the french door. I called Customer service the sent Flamingo services. They had to come 5 times they change the door the gaskets, etc. Finally, they put a new gasket and reinforced with sillicone and now some months after it borke again . I did not apply for extended waranty becuase I thoughjt this "American Made " brand could be better. I was totally wrong. Thank you Whirpool for selling such a bad quality products.

    Good fridge, not great

This fridge is very nice, overall it's not a bad fridge, I just wouldn't say it is great. The layout and adjustable shelves are well thought out. The overall appearance of this fridge is good, the only negatives wouldn't be a major issue to most buyers in my opinion. This is our second french door refrigerator and our last fridge (Frigidaire) had so many major issues, we're ready to welcome any fridge that doesn't require an annual repair budget. PROS: 1. Reasonably priced french door fridge 2. Whirlpool has a great warranty 3. The Ice maker and water dispenser are crazy nice 4. The layout is good and the shelves have a lot of adjustments CONS: 1. It's a little louder than our last fridge, not loud, it just has a distinct hum. 2. The left door doesn't close easily if the right door is already closed, can get left open. 3. The drawers have a cheap feel to them.

We got this refrigerator last week. The product has several defects on the inside and outside surfaces. I can't believe Whirlpool's quality can be such bad. It seems there is no quality control when they ship out the products. Really disappointed and waste so much time on this purchase.

This refrigerator looks impressive. I don't LOVE that I have to open the right AND left door each time vs just being able to open one or the other. Its not a deal breaker though, just something to get used to. The only other things I have issue with is the lever for the water and ice. I wish it was the standard old lever up at the top that you press in. This one you have to slide your cup in and press it against the center of the bar that runs down behind it. It Is awkward if your cup is too tall or you are using a pitcher, bowl, etc.. Ice drawer is difficult to pull out. Was told by delivery guy that it would get easier. Water filter is not super easy to get out or put in, but it's manageable. Tons of room though! I love the freezer on the bottom. So much easier to organize things in the refrigerator. Everything is so easy to see. No need to practically get on your hands and knees to see what's back there in the bottom of your fridge!! I read that it was a bit loud. I haven't noticed it being any louder than most. The ice dropping can be heard and the water filling the ice trays. Only takes a couple seconds and it's not crazy loud... it's about average. Also read that people had issues getting protective plastic off doors. Not a problem here. Just run your fingernail back and forth a couple times in the crease of the is any plastic residue left... then wipe. It was super easy. Outside side walls are very durable. Front resists fingerprints well.

We have had this refrigerator for a little over a month. We like the fingerprint resistant stainless steel. We like the overall inside layout mostly. It is a little annoying to have to open both doors to open the meat/cheese tray that spans the entire width of the refrigerator, but the ability to modify the humidity in each of the crisper drawers is nice. The ice maker is loud when it cycles when emptying the tray and refilling. I don't mean just the sound of the ice dropping and the flow of water like our last Whirlpool, I mean a loud grinding noise that you hear from 3 rooms away with doors closed. The sound lasts for about 5 to 8 seconds. My parents have the same model refrigerator and theirs does the same thing so that appears to be normal for this model. The sound is so loud it scares our cats and wakes up our nieces' babies sleeping 3 rooms away. On a side note, my experience with Best Buy customer support in regard to this order regarding delivery of the products, promised compensation for numerous inconveniences, inaccurate account information and their inability to accurately update their own database(s) and poor customer service in general based on which customer support call center you happen to be routed to has left me with a low opinion of Best Buy.

I've only had this Whirlpool - 24.7 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator a few days. the first two days it was very loud and the ice falling into the tray startled the bejeezers out of me from a deep slumber. that said, after a few days, this is by far the best refrigerator I've ever had. been paying for and drinking 'Smart' water for years. No More. properly drained and with the included filter, this unit provides great tasting water. like from a stream in the mountains of Michoacán. it IS quieter after about three days other than a frequent hum when it activates, as ALL full size refrigerators do. so far I'm happy with this unit ...

The fridge is great as far as space, price, appearance. The ice maker is a whole nother ball of wax. Ice either gets stuck in the machine and stops making ice or it comes shooting out at you like it was fired out of a cannon.

Just need to pop in here and say that this fridge is not as great as I had hoped. We have essentially stopped using the icemaker. It just takes a few minutes for one of the french doors to stay open before the icemaker freezes up.

My old GE fridge gave up after 12 years of use, I was expecting it to die at anytime because it was making such a noise, like a motorcycle running inside. I was needing a new fridge asap, and I didn't have a time to shop around or to compare similar items performance. Since, I had a good experience with Best Buy store when I replaced washer and dryer 2 years ago. I Checked Best Buy online, I saw reasonable refrigerators and with the guarantee of a price match up. After, scrolling different models, I liked this one. My wife and I went to the store to see how it looked. We liked it, bought it, and waited for delivery. They delivered 3 days later because we ordered on a Saturday. They delivered this Whirpool fridge in mint conditions, the delivery guys not only installed our new fridge professionally but at the same time they hauled my old one. We loved this fridge, it is nice looking, silent, and it is performing very well, no problems whatsoever. We're so satisfied with Best Buy shopping experience, once again.

I love this refrigerator! We upgraded from a 20 yr old fridge so I may be biased in my review. This fridge has lots of space. The large drawer inside that slides out is much more beneficial and practical than the models with the 2nd separate drawer. The lighting is bright and you will notice how much colder this fridge is and the temperature is even throughout. No more accidental frozen items in the back of the fridge. We are condiments hoarders and there is plenty of space for your different mustards, hot sauce, salad dressings, jams and jellies. You can rearrange the shelving and door bins to however you like. That one bottle in your fridge that used to lay down in your old fridge, can stand up proudly. Now with all that said, make sure you measure twice before the delivery guys try to wedge this monster into your space. Well, when our house was built in 1979, apparently the wall, upper and lower cabinets were not required to be square. We had plenty of clearance from the upper cabinet, but the lower cabinets were off by 3/4 inch in the back and 1/4 off the front. Needless to say, we quickly remodeled the lower cabinet so the fridge could slide into place. RIP cabinet. Yes the ice maker is noisy, duh! Yes, you will get little ice chips on the floor until you train yourself on how to properly hold your cup in place, duh! Every morning I walk to my new fridge and gaze at her glory. We are very pleased with our upgrade.

This product works perfectly and has plenty of room for a 4 person family. Easy to use filter replacement and sleek digital touch pad panel for water/ice and fridge adjustment. Rated product only 4/5 due to its ability to be cleaned on the exterior. Fingerprints seem to show up easily and are difficulty to remove, even with the microfiber cloth.

Let me start be saying I did research reviews prior to purchase so it wasn't like I didn't see it coming.... The fridge is awesome! I love the room and convenience of being able to put a sheet cake, lasagna pan or cookie sheet in without having to first rearrange an entire shelf to do it. It holds everything I need it to for my weekly trips to the store and I dare say, it actually keeps me organized. I open the door and can go right to what I need. The fruit and produce bin is at a level that I can look right at what is inside and make a determination of what needs to be consumed before it goes bad....no more science project surprises! And the freezer on the bottom is love! I just really fell in love with it and my feelings haven't changed about it. But......and again, I did see the review for this so I cant really say I should be mad but I am a little irritated about this one thing : The right door, if not shut first, does not close entirely and for whatever reason, the door open alarm will not sound. So every time I open both doors, I have to remind myself to close the right door first or else I find that when I go back to it...it is still ajar!! That.is.getting.on.my.last.nerve! I realize that because I absolutely love everything else about it.... I will just have to get used to checking before I step away. Just didn't think it would irritate me as much as it does. I would still recommend it but I would be very adamant about making sure you know that you will have to "think' about how you shut the door....for the life of ownership....of this fridge!

My wife did her research and found this is one of the top rated models for 2021. We agree, this refrigerator is an excellent addition to our new home. Plenty of storage. Whirlpool always delivers high quality appliances. Beautiful refrigerator. Never any fingerprints. Love the size as it does not take up precious space in the kitchen, however does not disappoint in space. Ice and water dispenser works great too.

I have been very satisfied with this refrigerator. It is the best one I have ever owned. There are a couple of issues that are a little troublesome and I had to deal with early on, but I absolutely would still purchase it again. One issue is the ice maker hangs up a lot and I have to often pull it out and shake to dislodge ice so that it moves freely to dispense the ice. I have adjusted the temperature of the refrigerator and freezer to see if that make any difference but could not really tell that it did. The other thing that needed adjustment was the left side of the french door. The closing mechanism jammed and we had to call in for a repair of the slide at the top of the door. We decided to make sure we always close the left side first so that it does not get jammed. That is a little inconvenient, but seems to work okay. I absolutely love the bottom freezer and the ease of finding items in the different compartments.

We bought this Refrigerator to replace the Whirlpool that we couldn't get fixed for there was a backlog of replacement parts. Geek Squad was great in facilitating the exchange. We love it! We did our research especially after the problem that we had with the previous one, and the size and features were comparable. The only concerns that we have noticed was that the ice has a tendency to shoot out very quickly sometimes which is taking a little bit to get used to, and the size of this one was a little larger than the previous one It's supposed to be 68.625 without the door hinge, which was the same size as the previous one, but it had to be taller for we had to adjust our cabinets to get it in the same spot as the other one. Otherwise, so far, so good. The space is great, everything fit with space to spare. No problems with this one at all Great Fridge!

Gets the job done, not fancy

Purchased this model to replace an LG that broke down twice during COVID SIP, horrible experience. This model is pretty basic in comparison to the LG but we just wanted a reliable fridge. Important to get a brand that’s domestic so you can find repair companies that have parts and are willing to work on it. Apparently LG’s with linear compressors notoriously stop cooling and takes a long time (month) to get replacement compressors. I’ve been told that repair people don’t think LG repairs are worth their time. Pros fir this fridge is that there aren’t any fancy bells and whistles, it gets the job done so far. A few cons are that there is no alarm for door being ajar, the filter doesn’t seem to really filter the water well (I checked and turned the filter into the correct direction) and the ice dispenser avalanches ice.
