I am under the impression that you cannot win when purchasing a refrigerator. My previous KitchenAid died in 4 1/2 years. It kept freezing behind the drawer and KitchenAid only covered one part. We had it repaired 3 times and all of the repair techs told me not to go with dual cooling and to pick a Whirlpool product. We have a person with special needs and a fridge has to meet certain criteria. I spent a day driving around and looking at fridges. A lot of models had broken parts and bins on the showroom floor. If they break that easy I don't want to purchase that. Quality has really came down. Bins are made of lighter plastic and there is a lot less metal than there used to be. The shelves on this unit are glass and are adjustable. There is also a shelf that you can slide and it turns into a half shelf. The bottom shelf pulls out slightly on the bottom of the fridge. Slightly helpful. It comes with 2 bins for the left door and 3 bins for the right door. But it doesn't include a half bin for the bottom of the right door. I had to purchase from Whirlpool for $72. We use that space for some small items. It should have came with that bin. The bin drawers inside the fridge have little rollers and can easily come off track. I do like the 3 bin design and you can have pop cans in the middle bin. The meat drawer is also very handy. Temperature is an issue. Because it doesn't have dual cooling temperatures vary greatly. The freezer is set to 0 and actually reads 1 degree. The fridge temp is set to 37 degrees and reads 34 in the meat drawer, 39 in the middle of the fridge and 46 degrees on the top shelf. I hadn't opened the fridge for 2 hours and the freezer for 3 hours. Your fridge should be at 40 degrees or lower. The ice maker is slow but adequate. Hold your glass up or you will have ice everywhere. The water dispensing is the flaw. After you fill your glass you need to leave it in place for 10 seconds or it will drip, splash and run down the front of the fridge. The freezer has a pizza slot, divided bottom and one pull out top bin. It is adequate but I miss my 2 drawers and bottom bin on the old fridge. Hopefully this one will last longer but I have no confidence in appliance manufacturers anymore.

It's a great fridge but it has a few things I didn't find in other reviews. First is when it is sealing after you open the door it sounds like your cell phone in your pocket is calling someone. It takes a while to get used to the butt dial sound. Second is that the water flow through the door takes forever to fill a larger glass. I actually went through and beefed up my reverse osmosis system because I thought the problem was on my end and it still flows very slow. Other than these things it works great.

Very handy fridge and freezer, the French doors are easy to open. The led lighting is amazing and the fast ice feature is handy for periods of heavy ice use. The pull out drawers and platform are very handy for reaching items in the back. There is one tray that partially collapses in order easily store tall products. The ice maker makes a good amount of ice and the door storage is pretty good! My only complaint is minor, the switch on the outside of the door that you press your cup against is weird, you have to press harder than most and after you press it there is a noticeable pause before the ice starts falling. The hesitation is odd and makes you question if you are pressing the sensor hard enough. Overall a small complaint on an excellent fridge!! Check out the Best Buy outlet. We bought ours for $1899 because it had a dent on the side.

This fridge is close to great. Only close because it doesn't quite get as cold as I would like. I don't think there is anything wrong with it I just would like it to stay a degree or 2 colder. It does get opened alot may have something to do with it... kids! Tons of room and more fits in the freezer than what I expected. Also looks great! Whirlpool does a great job with there fingerprint resistant stainless. It is very easy to keep clean and it has more of a mat finish which in my opinion makes it look more soft and elegant than some other popular brands which you can see your reflection in almost like a mirror. Almost nothing is perfect these days but this is really nice.

Nice shelving arrangement. So far works as expected. Hoping for longer life than previous refrigerator which was Kenmore (LG) and lasted 4 years. Makes lots of noises.

This refrigerator replaces an LG that started to malfunction after 5 months!!It was repaired but never worked right. Finally after about 14 months I got credit to replace it.We decided on a Whirlpool of comparable style. So far I am very pleased. The food stays cold and the freezer works great. It makes plenty of ice.The inside of the refrigerator is very well lit-the freezer could use a bit more though.I have plenty of room and there are some nice design features-bins and drawers.I would recommend this.

I decided on this fridge to replace an 8 year old Samsung model that made extremely loud noises because of freezing of the back panel around the fan. This is a well known issue, I would not buy another Samsung. That being said, I spoke with a fridge repair man, and he recommended Whirlpool. We actually still have a 15 year old Whirlpool side by side fridge being used as our secondary in our garage, which the Samsung one replaced because of a circuit board issue. This model is nice because the LED lighting really lights up the fridge. However the freezer is not as well lit. The water dispenser seems catchy, not smooth. I typically have to push pretty hard for the water to come out, and any slight movement will cause it to stop dispensing water. The finish is nice, we only need windex to clean it. Stainless steel cleaner actually leaves streak marks. Overall, I like the fridge, it has some minor issues, the key is finding out how long it will last. Best Buy delivery was top notch though, no issues there.

We mostly like our Whirlpool French Door fridge. The quality of build seems to be better than the Samsung it replaced. The ice maker is great and it keeps up with our steady commands, plus its not noisy. The capacity is good and most of the layout works well. My wife doesn't care for the 3 drawer layout of the crisper and would like it better with two drawers. On the downside, it has a hi pitched noise that others have commented on in their reviews. Fortunately, It's not too loud.

The nicest refrigerator I've ever had. Still, it must have been designed by someone who never grocery shops like we do. Plastic boxes of prewashed greens don't fit in the drawers. The "meat" drawer is too big for our use and too shallow for most veggies (say, an eggplant). The small center drawer can't be opened unless both doors are opened and it's narrow and deep, creating (for us) a rather impractical space--I'd rather have two larger drawers. There's no egg container, which is odd. (but may be current?) The ice maker doesn't take up as much space as our old Whirlpool, which is practical; we'll simply make extra ice in advance if needed. Freezer space is better designed. We've had it only three weeks and will get used to it. We just hope it lasts as long as the 16-year-old version that's now in our garage!

This refrigerator was replacing our 18 year-old unit that had been through a lot, so it took us a little while to get used to all the new features. We almost didn't go with this model because of some on-line reviews that complained about the doors being warped and not closing completely, but that has not been our experience at all - the doors are true and close tightly. The ice maker is small, but pretty much on par with most of the the french door models we looked at and it works well for the two of us, but ran empty when two other family members came over for dinner. The freezer is awesome - huge (well, compared to the side-by-side we replaced, anyway) and well compartmentalized. If we had any complaints at all, it would be that the water dispenser is quite a bit louder than our old unit - but that's not a deal breaker for us.

I like this new Whirlpool Refrigerator. I was used to a side x side, so it took me a bit of time to adjust. I had to take out one shelf to make enough space in between shelves. I thought I would love the smaller middle crisper drawer for long things like celery, green onions, etc., but I have found that it makes the other two crisper drawers smaller. So big heads of Broccoli, Califlower and lettuce don't fit as well. Like I said, I'm learning how to adjust. Now I use the large pull out "deli" drawer for more things which helps. What I DO love is the freezer area. Lots of space. In the Freezer I DO love the skinny long compartments to keep things like jars upright and not falling over when I open the drawer. I like the fact that I have 4 distinct areas that I can organize so I can easily find things. This is Waaaay better than my side x side freezer! I also like that the ice maker compartment is in the door so it doesn't take upon shelf space. The ice cubes themselves are smaller than I am used to and they seem to climb together in the compartment so I can;t just grab one or tow out of the compartment easily. But I have found if I just get it through the door, that solves that issue. Otherwise I like it a lot. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because of the refrigerator section seeming to much smaller to me. But.. in all fairness, that me getting used to it.

The water/ ice dispenser has to be depressed incredibly hard for it to work. It's a pretty basic model with minimal options. There is no sensor for when the door gets left ajar. The surfaces are great, the multiple drawer options are nice & the lighting is great.

We really like this refrigerator. A lot of space, love the big drawer at the bottom of the frig, really like the three drawers for fruits and vegetables. We would definitely recommend this refrigerator. The only thing I would change is where the water comes out is too close to the front so if you have a normal size glass opening you have to make sure your fingers are behind to glass and push it forward or the water won’t hit the glass.

I couldn’t believe how perfect this refrigerator was for our family. It is so much bigger than our old refrigerator that we still don’t fill it up like our old one. I love the large sliding shelf and the big drawer that I can place a whole fish on. The bottom freezer has lots of room and I can put both pizza boxes and a tall bottle of vodka in the door. The middle drawer for soda cans and the ice and water dispenser is great for our beverage needs. The only reason this was an open box purchase was because of a scratch on the bottom of the freezer, which we can live with. This is a great addition to our kitchen, with the stainless steel fingerprint resistant look.

This is the best refrigerator that I have owned in the last 35 years. Love the french doors and the powerful day-light inside the refrigerator. The centre shelf is so useful which moves outwards and it is super easy to get the hors-d'oeuvres and desserts out of the refrigerator when we entertain. It has not only brought a classy look of the most important appliance in my kitchen, but is worth every penny. We are so happy that it is finger print resistant so it doesn't leave any marks. One can really organize the produce, deli meats/cheese as well as the leftovers. It runs super smooth and we highly recommend our find to any prospective buyer looking for a high-class refrigerator.

The interior size is nice. Lot of room on shelves. Two biggest issues for me: 1.) rather noisy. Sounds like a phone ringing at times. 2.) we bypassed the water filter due to using a reverse osmosis system. We removed the filter and water still works but, shows “change filter” all the time.

Have had this for about a month now, even though we ordered it in January it didn't arrive until March and love it so far. Very easy to find things and roomy enough for most of our food. Really like the layout. Very easy to keep the outside of it clean too. The water dispenser did leak at first, but the manual did say it would stop and it did, but while it was leaking I put a really cool "boot" shaped glass there and it worked great to catch the extra water and looks nice so my husband and I decided to leave it there!
