At local Best Buy, I was looking to replace out of function KitchenAid microwave oven #KCMS145JSS and trim kit and decided a technician needed to come to measure the size of my cabinet cutout to make sure trim fit nicely, so he did and I ordered Whirlpool microwave oven #WMC30516HZ and trim kit #MK2167AZ, by the time the install technician came to set up he found the sides of trim are too wide (3”), and my limited sides have 2” margin, and he suggested me to return the kit, which I did. Following few days I used the file to trim down the edges of old frame to smooth out humped lips (both upper and lower) and rehung the frame and it works out. So the individual cabinet cutout size will determine the fitness of trim, it is nice and fingerprint resistant stainless steel trim kit.

Trim kit fit perfectly in my original 27" wall cabinet. The new microwave fit perfectly in the trim kit. The dimension instructions on Best Buy site for the trim kit and microwave were accurate and the installation instructions were clear and understandable.

Easy to install (some minor carpentry may needed) and beautiful product

There are very few options when trying to get a trim to match your new stainless steel microwave. The good is that this is essentially universal, will match anything that fits inside albeit realize that there will be gaps if its not exact. It looks good but feels cheap, it is not actually made of stainless steel, just the appearance of such. If noody closely inspects, you cant tell but if you do touch and inspect, it clearly isnt the real thing. So its faux but does the job. I wish there were better options but nope, and for what it costs, it is robbery but again it looks and does the job.

For our application this looks great. It was easy to install. It is made of plastic, wish it wasn't, but for the application it works well with the corresponding microwave.

So our old KitchenAid microwave died after 12 years and we had to buy a new one. Of course, the trim kit from the previous one did not work, and this was the trim kit that was to go with the new microwave. So the upside is that yes, it fits perfectly around the microwave, however, it is not adjustable on how it fits into whatever space you have. The top and bottom frame is about 3" and we had less than that on the top if we put it on the frame they give you. We only used the front piece (and had to saw off some plastic pieces), and had to jerry rig the rest of it. If we would have had another option of a trim kit we would have taken it, but this is it.

Kit went together very smoothly. I spent most of the time trying to get it all level and square in my existing cabinet hole. I do wish the trim was all metal so it would sit more flush with cabinet.

I was replacing an existing under counter microwave. Easy to follow instructions. The actual trim piece was plastic so I used the trim piece from my old microwave which was real metal. Trim piece in this kit was a cheap piece of plastic. I did need to use the feet in the trim kit but otherwise it was junk

I Have used this trim kit many times and have had zero issues with it. It has a clean modern look.

Looks like stainless steel but is plastic. I have to say it looks good and fit perfect. I was surprised at how it did fit. I bought this and 4 appliances. Have now bought 11 Whirlpool appliances in 14 years. If this was about the smooth top stove I would give it a 1 and say stay away. Scratched with aluminum pan.

We replaced an old built-in microwave with a new Whirlpool and this trim kit. It worked. I installed it and it took 30-60 minutes. We didn't have to do any cutting or modifying so it was a piece of cake. Looks great, fits great and it just works! Not much does that anymore.

Very attractive trim kit to give the over the counter microwave oven a built in look. It was easy to install and it makes the whole oven look great. Although it's a bit expensive, I really like it.

This trim kit truly requires the microwave cut out whole/space to be an exact size. Your cut out must be 17 inches in height, really no less than that and probably no higher. There’s a little more leeway with the width.

Plastic, don't like the side vents and awful expensive for Plastic, but got to have it. Not much of a selection out there.

Looks great and fits microwave perfectly. I much prefer the swing microwave door to the oven style door. This makes the unit look built in. Recommend.

I have not opened the box yet, awaiting my new kitchen, but this is my second microwave we install at base cabinet with trim. Beautiful finished look.

This trim kit is great looking - very sleek! The previous trim kit had all these "vents" that were hard to clean - this one is really easy to clean.

I had to find the proper trim kit for a smaller whole than is now normal. This was the perfect size and easy to install.

Bought a complete set of Whirlpool appliances to replace the outdated ones in my house. Very happy with the looks and function of all the pieces feel like I made a good investment.
