This was not my first choice in refrigerators. It is like the older one we had. Space led us to this choice. I am now very happy with this purchase. I love the freezer side, drawers and shelving making thing's very easy to find. (Not stacked in a drawer ). I absolutely love the fingerprint resistant finish. It may not be for everyone (color a bit darker than normal stainless ). I have not seen one mark or fingerprint on it since it arrived. It is very quiet,( Ice and water feature ). A very happy accident.

Installed for a month now and is working fine. 28.4 Cu. Ft. of storage space is great compared to our previous 24 Cu. Ft. fridge. It makes smaller-sized and shaped ice cubes which we happen to like, and we of course like the look of the refrigerator.

Decent alot larger inside then it looks outside ! Finish needs a little upgrade ! Over All A Nice Sleek looking Ref/Freezer!

Specifications indicate that the refrigerator has a covered "dairy center," but it does not. The picture showing the inside of the refrigerator door also does not show a covered bin typically used for butter. Lack of a covered butter bin is my biggest disappointment so far. Love the huge storage capacity as one benefit is that it makes it easier to find things and recognize whether or not you are out of something to include on your grocery list. The increased storage capacity comes at the expense of a much deeper refrigerator that is difficult to get through the front door. Be prepared to remove the refrigerator doors (and perhaps even your front door) or for the installation/delivery people to have to do this in order to squeeze the refrigerator through. Wish the ice bin included a scoop as the dispenser does not work well with large water bottles and the ice falls everywhere when trying to dispense ice into them. Our old kenmore/whirlpool was much better at this since the water/ice dispenser indentation was much shallower and allowed for holding pitchers and bottles more upright.

Nice roomy frig, but the ice maker is very loud. Good space for varying sizes of food items.

We had our previous refrigerator for over 25yrs. and thought we should replace it before we come home to find it quit working and have to rush out and get one,not to mention spoiled food...our new whirlpool 28.4cu.ft side by side was delivered and set up from best buy with great customer service,very friendly crew,we would definitely recommend best buy to anyone! Lots of room in fridge and freezer. We got ice maker and water dispenser with filter,you can dispense water by the ounces or fill till you want...ice can be dispensed crushed or in cubes...lots of great features. Glad we got this one!

Very happy with this fridge, my only complaint would be that the ice dispenser is rather noisy. But that may be due to it being in the door. I've had others similar and they were noisy too, but I have had less icemaker issues with them. Otherwise, its very spacious, looks great!

i picked the black stainless. it does'nt show fingerprints. went back to side by side after french door model and very happy i did. easier access to freezer food on shelves rather than dumping in a drawer. lots of room. no butter shelf. the shelves are not adjustable. the door shelves have plenty of room which balances it out. top left shelf of fridge can freeze items so i am adjusting freezer a bit warmer 2 degrees to help that. good size ice cubes and the ice maker is a bit loud when filling or dumping/not a problem, unlike my lg french door this ice machine is fantastic with supplying ice and does'nt get stuck. love this fridge overall and very happy to have it. do not miss LG at all. great best buy delivery and install with removal of old fridge.

Considering the supply chain backlog due to the CoVid crisis we felt fortunate that we were able to purchase a refrigerator and have it delivered in just a few days -- so that was a huge plus. Our LG that was only 7 years old stopped making ice and keeping a consistent internal temperature. It has already had the compressor replaced and a new ice machine a couple of years ago. Our appliance service person said he did not recommend fixing it and he also did not recommend getting another French door refrigerator or an LG. Based on his recommendations and online reviews we went with the Whirlpool side by side. Pros: The black steel is a nice finish, it is quiet except when the ice maker drops a new batch of ice. The ice maker is very good and fast. The freezer is easy to organize. The Cons (so far): So much less space than a French door model, very small shelves and doubtful that the Thanksgiving turkey will fit. The deli drawer holds about 1/2 what our old model could handle and the veggie drawers are also 1/2 the size. The one door does hold several bottles and can accommodate large bottles but there isn't a butter keeper. I will admit that it is making more aware of what is in the fridge-- except for a few veggies that keep getting buried. I'm just hopeful that this model last more than 7 years. I would recommend this model to a friend but include the things I see as drawbacks. P.S. we did purchase a refrigerator power strip in the hopes that if a power surge was why our last fridge died that maybe this one will last longer.

Have it for 9+ months so here is my two cents review! When the compressor kicked on and nearby, noisy, internal random weird noises, internal noise from water pipe or water flow, this noise that noises, loud, noticeably, sometimes low, etc ... noise go away after minutes then return later on when compressor, water pipe, etc ... on. Noisy, if stand nearby fridge for lengthy period of time could get irritating. After 7 months ran fridge side default temperature setting 37° saw. Upper fridge temperature at much lower, like frozen ... left a pack of chicken breast noticed was frozen next day. Green leaf veggies and fruits were on upper fridge ruin, The workaround, raised fridge by two degrees for two days then lower it by one degree. Fridge side set at 38° rather default 37°. Freezer side very lower drawer cannot remove because left door open not wide enough. Have not try, my guess must remove door left so could remove very lower draw for e.g cleaning. What kind of design is this? Everything is working, no leak, ice maker works, etc ... so knock on wood. Will it last for 2 to 5+ years or more? Quality out the door, the future business prospect end, near?

This is a very nice refrigerator with ample storage space in fridge and freezer. I had originally bought a smaller version which did not meet my needs, as the refrigerator that I was replacing had a lot of space. Best Buy replace the smaller item with this new larger model at no additional cost! The only issue is infrequently the model gets noisy, but not a deal breaker.

Yep it's a Side by Side, with this brand and thd cost it's very nice. Stores a lot of food, is quiet and matches the rest of our Whirlpool appliances.

The main compartment of This refrigerator has a ton of useable space. The freezer has the ice maker on the door which gives extra space in the freezer to store a lot. The refrigerator runs a bit louder than I thought it would. My family noticed this right away. The refrigerator does not come with a butter compartment or egg tray which is a disappointment. Overall, I think this refrigerator is a great purchase.

Have only recently had this installed, so if this changes, I'll update my review. But this replaces a truly piece of junk 4 year old Samsung french door fridge. Trust me, I did my research before buying this one. Love the look and really think I'm going to appreciate going back to a side-by-side again. The french door is OK for having more eye level fridge space, but the freezer is a black hole. Found stuff in the bottom of that freezer that was buried for years and would have been for years more, I'm sure, if not for the replacement. Having a stand up freezer is so much better for organization and being able to see what you have. Also, not giving up a whole top corner of the fridge space for an ice maker is great. So much more room! The ice maker was slow at first, but seems to be really getting better and better with more time and use. LOVE the separate ice and water paddles; and the metered fill is a really cool function. Put your glass in, hit the button and walk away while it fills (as long as you know the capacity). It is pretty quiet overall. The ice maker is a little noisy, but that is for such a short period of time it is of little / no consequence. Really happy so far and happy to be done with my old fridge.

We have only had this new side by side for a month, but what a difference from our old one! This new interior lay out is Huge! Plenty of room for big items in the door, lots of room for fruit/veggies in plastic containers or left overs. Los of light to see inside. Drawers are very big and slide out easily and easy to see inside. Set your temp and the food stays cold from top to bottom and so far no freezing or icing on food next to the freezer side. Easy to replace the water filter when needed but the air filter is in awkward place so seeing when to replace is mot easy. The Freezer side is very spacious with the ice maker in the door! Pizza boxes no problem, probably the largest capacity of freezer space for a side by side available today. Ice maker seems small but so far our family of 5 has not run out of ice and it also has a quick ice function to make faster ice! Plenty of light to see what you have stored. Yes you can hear when the ice function turns on for a few seconds but it is not loud. The exterior water tray is not deep so keep and eye on how much excess water splash you might encounter with small glasses. Main reported con is the wiring on the freezer door located on the lower left side under the trim. But I plan on keeping an eye on it every 3-4 months to make sure there is no shredding of the wires and will call for warranty service when I first see any to prevent known ice maker problems! Like I said we have only had it a month but we are very impressed and satisfied and yes we would recommend it because of it is so spacious inside.

We recently lost both of our previous refrigerators to age. We decided to try and survive with only 1 for our family of 10. The space inside of this unit is ample. I wish the shelves could be placed on different levels, and the ice maker can't keep up with our super-sized family, but other than that it's a very nice Refrigerator/Freezer.

Love, love, and love! The refrigerator and freezer are so spacious! I spent awhile researching and looking for the perfect model for my family. I have no regrets! Ice maker and water dispenser are great. Ice maker is a little louder than expected but doesn’t bother me at all. I’m happy!

It took almost 6 months to receive this, but it was worth the wait at the end of the day. This had so much more usable space than the LG 28 Cu. Ft. fridge it replaced. The ice maker, while a little slow, works great, and, so far at least, the ice dispenser has not clogged like the LG liked to do. I got the geek squad protection for this because of the known issue with the freezer door, but after a few months use, I checked and see no wear and tear on the wiring yet.
