Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the excellent wash quality, ease of use, and capacity of this 3.8 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer. Many appreciate its performance and find it a great value for the price. However, some customers note that the washer can be quite loud and that the spin cycle may be a concern for some users. The presence of an agitator is a positive feature for many buyers.

SO HAPPY WITH MY NEW WASHER

My old washer of about 6 years (didn't last long as the ones I have had before) went kaput. Instead of having it fixed, I decided to get a new one. Couldn't be happier! Even the cycles are shorter, the other one went over one hour to wash! Noise level is almost non-existent. It leaves clothes clean and, like I already mentioned, the wash time is just perfect. So far, so good! With appliances, I also buy the extended warranty, just in case Hope I never have to use it. The delivery guys were on time, excellent and very professional. Thanks, Best Buy!

    Good basic machine

No complaint at all. This is a very basic washing machine with no bells or whistles, but gets the job done just fine. I purchased it for my mother who wanted a washing machine with an agitator. It had a dent in the side when delivered by Best Buy, but the deliveryman called it in and pointed it out to me. Best Buy gave me the option to have a new product delivered or a credit. Since the dent was cosmetic only and on the side and not noticeable, I opted for a credit. If you are looking for a basic washing machine, I recommend this machine. If you want high-tech, wi-fi options this is not for you.

I thought a 3.8 cu ft. would be small but it holds more than I could imagine . I have a new 7 cubic ft. dryer with it and also an older dryer that I kept. I am happy I kept the second dryer because I would not want to put all the cloths in one dryer. I have an in home beauty salon that needs a small capacity I will try when I start working again do to Covid 19. We have to wash much more these days with sanitation.

    FIRE HAZARD! DO NOT BUY!

Goes on by itself, motor making terrible sound, but no motion inside. This is a fire hazard. If I had not been home who knows what might have happened with the motor overheating. Now when I try to use it, no lights go on. It first quit on us in the middle of a cycle and would not spin and drain. Did not think leaving it plugged in would be so dangerous! IF i plug it in again, it will randomly go on sometime without pushing any buttons! I grew up with whirlpool appliances, they used to be VERY dependable and long lasting. This one looks brand new but won't work, and we have only had it one year and 8 months! That is bad for ANY brand. Diagnosis charge is one fourth the cost of the appliance, and does not go toward the repair! really disappointed with the brand. Love the agitator, and it cleaned so well! I have seen some other reviews that indicate that a few other people have experienced this same malfunction. i do not have facebook or instagram to contact Whirlpool.

This whirlpool replaced a Frigidaire washer that lasted 13 years. Does not walk, even fully loaded. No problem with quick wash, sensor water setting. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is that I would prefer a removable fabric softener holder for cleaning purposes. Also wish there was a designated detergent drawer. No other problem, I am happy. Hopefully, for many years to come

I have had this washer since May 31/2023. About 4-5 months back It started making a very loud noise when it would go into the spin cycle lasting about 30-40 seconds. Now the noise lasts about a minute or more and several times during a wash cycle. The last 3 loads the clothes were still dripping when finished. When on the final spin the washer will not shut off saying cycle complete. I was told it is the transmission. It should last longer than 18 months.

I love it. It is now very easy to set up a wash cycle for whatever I put in the washer. It's much quieter than my old washer. I use the automatic sensors so I am waiting to see if it makes a difference on my water bill.

Whirlpool - 3.8 Cu. Ft. 12-Cycle Top-Loading Washer - White Take control of laundry day chores with this 27-inch Whirlpool top load washer. Its 3.8 cu. ft. capacity provides enough space for bulky items, and the dual action agitator handles tough, heavily soiled loads. The Auto Sensing feature of this Whirlpool top load washer automatically adjusts water levels based on load size to save energy.

The "quick start" instructions were provided, but I had to access more complete information online. As recommended by the manufacturer I used the machine on several cycles, temperatures, etc., and am satisfied with the performance. A minor point, but the quality of the 'start' button could be better. The instructions indicate to press and hold for 3 seconds to pause operation, but sometimes depressing the button quickly to start has the same effect.

I cancelled the whirpool 3.8 since the delivery was going to be 6 wks. I changed order to Maytag 4.2. I received it 4 days later. I had a Maytag 3.2 for 13 years which I wore out. I replaced it with a 4.2 Maytag dual action agitator. So far I love it. I love all the different settings to wash my clothes. My clothes get washed fast and they smell good and clean. They are spun so well that it doesn't take long to dry the clothes in the dryer. The machine also runs very quiet. I also love the fact that it's one cubic foot bigger than the one I had so I can wash more clothes at one time.

Perfect I love it it cleans very thoroughly and I’m not into all that LED screen I feel as if they malfunction fairly quickly I like the original knobs and that’s exactly what this has it’s just an updated version which works well with the middle agitator I have done a boatload of laundry and my husband and I both agree that this is a great product or we still have our other washing machine it just did not wash as good as this one!!!

Still adjusting to use instructions to this machine that are so very different from every other washer I’ve ever had. But it does seem to be more efficient than older models. Uses less water. The laundry dryer when cycles are finished due to this. But items are much more twisted. I’ll adapt. But this newer process is daunting.

    Best Washer I've Bought

I'm so glad that I bought this washer. I finally got tired of buying high-end washers and dryers with all these extra gadgets and high tech control-panel boards, only to have them break down and be a pain in the butt to try to fix. I decided to go to the officer route and by the most economically priced washer I could find. This is hands down the best washer I've had in ages. It's definitely way better than the washer it's replacing. I previously owned a high-end Maytag, and this entry level washer blows it out of the water. Just been cycle is amazing, producing practically dry clothes. The machine is quick and efficient, and not noisy at all. I would buy this washer a hundred times over.
