Very easy to install and it comes with all the hardware and a filter. Once installed it looks very nice with all my other appliances. It’s not as quiet as I would of liked but for the price I think it’s a steal! I would recommend it to others.

We updated some of the allpliances in the kitchen and this was a great simple addition. We had a handy man install it and he did find that the fan wasn't properly attached to the motor. It was a quick fix and it's not too loud when running.

I returned one and reordered a new one because I thought it was opened. Upon arrival of the new one I felt the same way. There was some type of white powdery residue on the portions that were not covered with the protective peel off. When trying to wipe it off,it just smudged. I decided I wouldn't be happy with stainless steel in a range hood and purchased black in a different brand.

I purchased this range hood to replace an old existing whirlpool range hood. It looks good and seems to function well, but the install was not exactly a straight forward process (it never is). I did the install myself and I thought because it was more or less swapping it out for an existing whirlpool range hood it would be pretty simple and in some aspects it was. The size of the unit was identical so it fit perfectly in place of the old unit and I was able to recycle some of the parts from the existing unit like the strain relief and light-bulb (not included with new unit). Its not a top of the line product (as expected for the price), but it suited my needs. That being said I would be somewhat disappointed if I had paid the full retail price of $160. All and all I'm happy with the product. (If you want to know more about my install keep reading below) My biggest recommendation if your installing this yourself would be to study the install guide/owners manual thoroughly before purchasing this unit to understand exactly what you're getting into. I read a fair amount of bad reviews on this unit that seemed to stem from a lack of understanding of what they were actually buying. Depending on how you plan to vent with this hood (recirculating or vented) there are likely (definitely) extra parts you will need that are not included in the package. These extra parts are all described in the beginning of the owners manual/install guide. I had kind of a unique situation where my existing unit was recirculating, but there was existing duct-work in place to potentially make it vented. One of the main reasons I bought this unit was the fact it could go both ways and if the preferred vented option didn't work for whatever reason I could always just convert it to be recirculating. Luckily for me the existing ducts worked out, so I didn't have to go the recirculating route. If you do go the recirculating route understand that you need to purchase charcoal filters described in the owners manual or it wont function. The ducting is going to be different for every situation, so I wont get into that too much, but one thing that saved me some $ was buying a piece of duct work that transitioned the included square damper to a round duct. They only provide a square damper with the new unit and give you part numbers to buy the circular one separate. I looked up the parts online and they were outrageously expensive everywhere I looked, especially for what they are. Instead I went to the hardware store and found a simple transition piece that cost less than $5, problem solved. Most of the install simply involves following the guide guide exactly (prep, ducting, electical, etc.) The one spot the guide is really lacking in is the actual fastening of the range hood to the cabinet. They describe a FIT system that supposedly makes the install easier, but in my situation it completely failed. It may work fine in other situations, but the problem is if it doesn't they do not describe any other alternative options for mounting (or hardware). Even when first reading the guide it seemed like a very flimsy mounting system and I planned to add more support anyway. The good news is there are a lot of random holes in the top of the unit that I was able to use to mount the hood similar to how my existing unit was mounted. Even if the FIT system works I would highly recommend reinforcing it with some extra hardware. There was not a ton of information out there for my specific situation and the install was a bit of a challenge, so I hope this review will help out another diy'er out there, thanks.

I installed this unit myself, with a little help from my wife to hold it in place while I fastened it. Electrical hook up was clearly explained in the directions. The hood looks great and works great too.

Not too loud, good fan and light. Easy install. Only issue was using a power cord instead of hard wired and keeping the cord tucked out of sight (for the most part). Otherwise works well. NOTE: First purchase of this hood was dented on top and vent panel was welded shut. But brought to best buy and new unit was ordered. Great customer service!

Nice hood. Controls are clear and knobs are a good size. Install was not bad. The fit system was a bust. There were no measurements or template to line up the hangers. So i had my son help. Was no problem. The dim setting on the light casuses the bulb to flicker. High setting works fine. I did the ventless or recirculating option. Fan seems strong. U do have to order the filters seperately if going ventless. $17 for 3. They r suppose to last 6-12 months. I am disappointed about the packaging. Was missing screws And it looked like it was open, although all the protective film was in tact.

I think this is great for the price. I bought it because I just upgraded to a Samsung range and was not going to buy an expensive range hood. It matches the Samsung stainless steel to the point where you cannot tell they're different. I'm very happy with the settings on it too and it was easy to install.

I'm so glad I got this range hood, it performs well and looks nice. The price was very reasonable. I just love it!

I purchased for my rental property. It does a decent job for the money. Good appearance, quiet and efficient. If you dont want to spend a lot of money and get the job done, this is a good product. The only thing I did not like is clear under the hood view. You can see all the hooks and screws from underneat. I wish they could just cover the area around the air intake with a glass or plastic

I bought this hood when upgrading to a stainless steel range. The fan is quiet and it was easy to install myself.

Amazing to me they can build and sell these things for $150.00. Arrived in the time frame promised, in good-condition. Was a little tricky to install (you will need two people) but fit like a glove and looks nice. I would buy again.

Looks nice, but fan is very weak! It is quiet and light works good. Decent price, but wish fan moved more air.

Time permitting I would have researched range hoods online before purchasing this particular unit. I bought several new appliances over Labor Day weekend and was trying to purchase a range hood about the time the store was closing so I could get it all delivered at the same time so I made a rushed decision on this hood and kind of having buyers remorse now that I have installed it. :( It's a little underwelming and just kind of plain and industrial looking. Not a bad price but for a little more money I could've purchased a much nicer stainless range hood. Install directions are over kill if for self recirculating mount. I basically ignored the directions and installed it like my old one. It's not heavy, like 14 pounds so a handful of screws will secure it with no problems. I do like that its much more quiet than my old vent hood and that it has dim and bright light setting which my old one did not have.

Does what it's supposed to do. Installation was quick and easy, and it looks sharp below my kitchen cabinets.

I like its modern and slim look. It is also very easy to operate. The price is a great value for being stainless steel.
