The first two were a different brand purchased from a different store and the fan blades kept breaking after about two years. With this this purchase, my husband and I felt safer choosing a well known brand like Whirlpool. We are now hitting the 2 year mark and it's still "working" but it has never really done too good of a job. The past hoods have done a much better job ridding the smoke from the stove. More times that not my windows and ceiling fan do the job I purchased this hood to do. I do not recommend this hood.

Spent over 3 hours with Best Buy this morning, via Live Chat (useless) and telephone, about this and now off to Home Depot to find the part! Paid for HOOD to be installed by Best Buy, however, product ended up being UPSed and arrived 5 hours AFTER technician left our house. Best Buy said they won't come back out for a week. OUTSTANDING POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Adequate range hood

Nearly impossible to find the charcoal filters required but not included with the unit. They aren't sold by Best Buy or listed on whirlpools website at all. Customer service will direct you to another parts supplier where they are on back order.
