Didn't Work!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We have the smaller 3.8 cu ft model with a gear box beginning to fail. So we saw this larger 4.3 cu ft on sale and bought one. It never worked right out of the box! Filled with water, never agitated, never washed the load of clothes. Just sat full of water and soap until the rinse cycle started. It drained the water and stopped, never spun. The lid remained locked. Had to unplug and plug it in several times to get the lid to unlock. Finally got the lid to open. It did the same fill and sit three times never completing a wash cycle. Removed our wet, soapy clothes, gave up and returned it full of water. A total nightmare! Poor quality control at Whirlpool factory or bad design. Best Buy was great with delivery and the return, but, bad product!

Great washer for a large family

Easy use washer

In my mind, the simpler the washer, the cheaper to get fixed and less problems in the beginning.

But the only push button is start and it needs to be pushed a little more firmly then I think it should be!

Ties your clothes in knots.

We were all about the "saving the planet" features, but 1) if we don't use deep water wash, it doesn't seem like the clothes even get clean 2) no matter what setting - clothes are tied in knots when we try and take them out. Some clothes have been ruined because of this. There needs to be more research on these things. Sadness.
