Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the 4.3 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer's cleaning performance and large capacity, finding it easy to use and a good value for the price. However, some customers noted that the washer can be noisy and that the lack of an agitator, less-than-ideal spin cycle, and absence of a fabric softener dispenser were drawbacks. A small number of users also reported reliability issues.

Good washer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my new washer. Very easy to install. Packaging was easy to remove. Washes very well. Only thing I miss is a fabric softener dispenser tab. On this model You need to pour the softener on the bottom, load your clothes and the put in you detergent. Overall good value for the price.

easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a front loader and it did not last 5 years. The drum snapped off the shaft due to a unbalanced load. I just started doing the laundry and was outside when the machine started to have a problem. I had a top loader that lasted 16 years. This new top loader is quiet and I have not had a problem so far. All machines should shut down when a load is unbalanced. I am sure their are better machines but being on a fixed income this was a good machine for the price. On a good note my wife will not let me due the wash or cook anymore.

Works like a dream
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife kept overloading the other one until she killed it. I won that argument but it was a costly one for our pocketbook. Or at least I thought it would be. Found this one at Best Buy for half the price of our last one. Even though it's stronger and with a greater capacity than the other one was. Excellent purchase that we're immensely happy with.

Do not recommend
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sorry I didn’t use it the first two weeks, or I would have exchanged it for a different washer. Very confusing; documentation is online and I don’t keep my computer by the washer. Should be able to access user manual while using the machine. Not happy with no agitator, clothes come out tangled and very wrinkled. No apparent filter, machine needs to be wiped out after every load. Left load in overnight and had musty odor when unloading. Sensor leaves too much to washer’s decision. Unable to get straight answer as to how long machine will soak clothes before draining, I like to determine length of soak cycle myself. Maybe I’m old fashioned, this is my first new washer in 18 years. Overall, I would have to say I am disappointed.

Good washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid washer that cleans clothes well and washes a larger load than I'm used to. The only feature it does not have that I'd like is a place for fabric softner, but I have solved this by using the Downy Ball and it's working well.

It's a washing machine and it works great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We just wanted a simple washing machine with the same types of controls as our old one. This one fit the bill, except you can't set the exact water level (but to be fair, none of them we saw allowed you to set exact water level any more). We also wanted to get one without the center agitator post because it sometimes beat up our clothes, but we wondered if not having the post would still clean clothes well. And this machine does clean our clothes well and works great so far. After reading the instruction manual which we found online on Whirlpool's website, it's pretty easy to figure out how to set it to the correct setting, or if you had dirtier clothes, what settings to use. Again, it does a good job if you want something pretty basic with some good extra settings for all types of clothes. Best Buy did a good, careful and quick job installing this and hauling away our old one also.

Quiet taught it was defective
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was so quiet initially making small movements but sped up later. It definitely takes longer to wash than the traditional washer. Good overall so far. Great for the price.

Excellent cleaning, quiet
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far (two weeks), this has been great. It's still taking a little getting used to the limited amount of water and longer wash times, but our clothes are cleaner than they were before. It's also very quiet, and I know it's on when I hear water in the pipes.

Great machine

Does the job!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was gesitant to buy a washer without an agitator but this product didn’t let me down. It cleans my clothes, towels and sheets great. It comes with a lot of options for what you’re washing and what kind of cycle you prefer. Even with those options it still is quick and easy to understand/operate.

Works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer works great and gets everything clean. As someone who lives in the country and has cats & dogs, getting laundry clean is important. The tub is huge and also cleans blankets, comforters and cat & dog blankets and beds, without having to overstuff the washer.

It has been learning experience.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With this washer, we transition away from a long experience with an agitator washer to one that uses he detergent. Attempting to use the markings on the detergent measuring cup based on load size from prior experience, resulted in too much detergent and the need to use an extra rinse and spin cycle. The instruction booklet was not much help; we went on line to get advice on detergent use. In addition, for unexplained reasons, sometimes the clothes were not sufficiently spun out at the end of the cycle. The clothes were always clean, however.

Great Washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really great washer. It has a large capacity and does a great job of cleaning. It doesn't seem to have a buzzer to notify when the load is done which is a bummer. It is very quiet when cleaning which is great.

Large capacity, many options
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love love love this washer. With no central agitator arm, the capacity increases immensely. I don't have to worry about loading items evenly around the arm to avoid damaging the washer--I can just dump the whole load in. I haven't had any issues with the auto water levels--in fact, I appreciate that it keeps my water bill down! The washer senses and fills as needed, often not covering the clothes. Strangely enough, this still gets the job done! I love the many different options for temperature, load size, level of agitation, etc. It means I can really pay a lot of attention to how special loads of laundry get washed. The cycle for fabric softener is a bit odd. Instead of having a pre-loaded container at the start, you have to choose "Rinse with softener" and they pay attention to the washer to come back and add the softener. This means if you want to use softener, you can't just set it and leave, you've got to be around for the rinse cycle. I don't use softener often, so this isn't an issue for me, but it is a bit strange.

Whirlpool quality..great product!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works Great!! Quiet operation. Huge wash drum without the center agitator. Uses less water. Washes like a front loader with the convenience of a top loader. READ the manual and do as they say and you will be amazed at what a great job of washing it does! Stick to the Tide Pods and be amazed!

Solid Washer For The Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No complaints so far. I would give it 5 stars if it had a spot for the fabric softener we liked to add with our old washer. Otherwise the clothes are clean and it is fairly efficient.

Easy to use and gets clothes super-clean.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this washer for exactly one week but have already done several loads of laundry. This Whirlpool Cabrio 5000 couldn't possibly be any easier to use, and it is already exceeding my expectations. Even a batch of unusually soiled kitchen towels came out amazingly clean!

Good washer. Uses less water.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Whirpool washer I purchased Is a little noisier than I hoped for, but the clothes seem to come out clean. Not having an agitator is a little hard to get use to.
