Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the 4.3 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer's cleaning performance and large capacity, finding it easy to use and a good value for the price. However, some customers noted that the washer can be noisy and that the lack of an agitator, less-than-ideal spin cycle, and absence of a fabric softener dispenser were drawbacks. A small number of users also reported reliability issues.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I pick it up at a store was happy until I open the box at home .the washer had a dent on it on top by big knob.was not happy at all and because I bought it online they said I had to bring it back and wait until they get another one .so I had to settle for a small discount .next time I buy anything at Best Buy I will check first before going home .

Good quality for price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A quiet washer with chart under lid for type of wash control; good quality for the price; not greatest in that clothes come out feeling as if they could have been wrung out more.

Received product damaged
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The washer works great although we received our washer with a large dent on the back of the control panel so the plastic on the front where the buttons are protrudes out and it makes it a little difficult to press the buttons.

Irregular sized dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Dishwasher has a small fan box attached to the top which meant the dishwasher would not go under my counter. When I bought the item they did not tell me this! Best Buy took over three weeks before they installed another dishwasher that fit into my standard dishwasher kitchen counter space. I will no longer purchase my appliances at Best Buy.

New washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 17 years of faithful service, our previous washer had finally given up the ghost. As I reviewed all the advancements in washer/dryer technology over the past couple of decades, it was clear to me that we didn't want a front-loading washer despite their popularity. I kept reviewing this Whirlpool model at various retailers online, but Best Buy had a competitive price AND offered free delivery to boot. We have been very happy with our new washer after using it for a few months. In addition to being high efficient, the washer is high capacity. Without an agitator, it makes doing king-sized bedspreads, large pillows and other bulky loads a breeze. I also like how the lid opens from front to back, making it easier to load and remove laundry from the washer. We also purchased the matching dryer, and hope to get as many years from these appliances as we did our old ones.

Big capacity, great washing, inexpensive price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I read most of the reviews of this washer, and even with the negative reviews I went ahead and purchased this machine two months ago. I can not be happier with my purchase. Really, I don't understand some of the reviews saying this washer is noisy. My home office is about 7 feet away from my laundry closet and the washer is quieter than most I have owned in in the last 30 years. The spin cycle is especially quiet (again compared to all the other washers I have owned). The washing itself is fine, I was used to the differences in just the first two loads. I just take care to load it in the way the manual says to. It is quite different than loading a regular top-loader, but very easy once I got the hang of it -- each garment its own pile in the washer leaving a donut hole in the middle. Simple. And, well, I am still amazed at how much laundry I can fit in there. Also, people have complained about wrinkles. I do notice more wrinkles in items when I take them out of the washer -- more so when I have a smaller load set to a vigorous cycle. But since I hang dry our clothes I don't see it as much of an issue. Before I hang each garment I give it a snap shake. One shake takes out most wrinkles and after hang drying, any wrinkles left, I really don't bother about. I did have one load (in two months) that did not spin dry enough to suit me. My fault, I am sure, because I wanted to wash a few heavy things without waiting for a couple of more to fill up the washer more. So the spin was slightly unbalanced. I fixed that by adjusting the clothes in the drum and running it through another drain and spin cycle. After the second spin the clothes (a couple of pair of jeans) came out dry enough to suit me. All in all -- for the price (face it - this washer is a bargain on sale with free delivery) I am very glad I chose this one.

Great washer without going overboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 15 yrs my Whirlpool gold washer (around same price back then) died after washing clothes for a family of 5. Not worth the cost to repair so we looked for a newer washer. Didn't want all the fancy electronics (Moore's law), just something to get the job done. Compared this to the GE GTW485ASJWS, but the wife wanted the extra capacity of no agitator. Down sides to this washer as with other HE versions is that they are louder than the older models (GE had the same issues based on all reviews). The sound difference is mainly in pitch (higher vs. lower) and more clicks as it goes through the cycles. This is not a energy star washer (knew that before purchase). If you purchase an energy star washer the water and electric companies will give a discount. Ours would have given a $130 rebate total, but we didn't want a glass lid for a top loader (had to go up a model). Best Buy price matched Sears, had free delivery with haul away, and free installation (had to purchase newer hoses). In addition, I received my reward points for this needed purchase. Sales rep was helpful on getting all this setup in with no fuss. The delivery and setup was a sub-contract. Would recommend you check their work as they didn't properly level the washer (used a folded piece of paper). Just use the front foot pegs to re-level properly, which is critical for the higher spin cycle.

Good for delicates and techno challenged
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is best for small and medium delicate loads. With Blankets, towels and larger loads it moves around a lot in the spin cycle, more than my old washer which was 20 yrs old. Not good for a tight space. It is a bit noisy as other reviews stated but not a big deal for me since it is in the garage, not a laundry room in the house. I would not recommend this to a family or anyone with lots of bedding to wash. It is easy to operate especially if you aren't good with technology and don't want to have to read a lot of instructions.

No agitator = lots more space!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, the washer showed up brand new in the box, but with a large amount of water in it. Not really sure why and Best Buy couldn't explain it either. Made it heavier to move, but by all inspections, it had not been used, and they made it right with a cost adjustment. I regret it not having a fabric softener dispenser, that's the only reason for 4 stars. It's easy to use and gets the clothes clean. Larger loads than the average top loader due to no agitator, so that's a big plus. I replaced our front loader with this and will never go back to front loaders again.

Whirlpool Cabrio High-Efficiency Washing Machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading many critical reviews of this product I was somewhat hesitant to take a chance on purchasing it. However, I needed to replace a washing machine after it stopped working and needed repair. I found this Whirlpool at the local Best Buy store in Signal Hill, CA and they had it on sale as an open box item at a very reasonable price and I decided to give it a try despite the negative reviews. After using the Whirlpool for a little over a month now I can say from personal experience that it has performed without any problems other than a small leak at the back hose connection that was corrected by simply tightening the supply hose threads. The only complaint I have with this washing machine is that it does take considerable more time to completely finish a washing cycle from start to finish despite the size of the load or weight of laundry put in the washer as noted by other reviewers. The average time for a complete washing cycle is about 35 to 40 minutes including the time for the load sensor to determine the correct amount of water to use for that specific load of laundry. It has continued to perform as described and does an excellent job of cleaning the laundry when the correct settings are used and it uses less water per load to help reduce my water bill.

Great simple & roomy washer for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are happy with this washing machine as a replacement for one that was slightly fancier. Simple knobs, many practical wash choices. Really love the large-capacity drum, with no center post- very roomy. It makes a lot of unusual noises, but maybe it’s just that it’s different from our previous machine. Clothes get clean; happy so far!

Nervous about new technology for nothing!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was nervous to purchase a washer without an agitator for no reason. This washer has a huge wash basin, uses less water than your standard agitator type would which saves me $$$ and gets my clothes clean! I did take the time to read the manual and get acquanited with the cycle settings. I also had to get used to the different sounds it makes during the various cycles. I don't have an actual laundry room, my set sits in the family room so you can hear it well but I wouldn't say it's loud. If you are looking for a a washer/dryer set with a large capacity, that looks great and sells at a moderate price point... this is a great purchase!

Can't be beat at this price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This does that job just fine. I was worried about reviews online, but this washer proved them wrong. No fish smell. No standing water. No 1 hour wash times. No loud noises. No weird residue left on clothes. If you've had a basic washer for years, HE top loaders may seem weird at first, but a quick read of the instructions solves this. As far as noise goes, unless this washer is with you in the living room you can't hear it. I actually would have to check to make sure it's on. The laundry room isn't in a sound proof room or tucked away in a corner of the house. Many probably aren't used to the unusual clicks and wrrrrs it makes compared to conventional washers. The drum is nice and roomy. With no agitator, I'm even more confident in washing delicates. At this price range this washer can't be beat.

Great washer for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The capacity is amazing. I can wash comforters and large pillows at home now. Very happy with the quality of the wash, the quiet operation, and the spin efficiency. I only gave it a 4 star because it doesn't have a fabric softener dispenser. That was a small negative, which was solved with the purchase of a fabric softener dispenser ball. Overall great washer for the reasonable price.

Fantastic washer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is easy to operate, has extra large capacity and uses much less energy and water. Does a superb job cleaning all types of fabrics and clothing. It handles heavy loads as well as delicate loads. It is quiet and efficient. It doesn't have a fabric softener cup but easy enough to add it at the time of rinse. For the money can't beat this washer.
