If you like to use softener though you will have to babysit this washer since there is no way to add softener for it to self dispense when needed. Thinking it would at least have some sort of Audible or visual indicator as to when it was ready for you to add softener only added to my Disappointment in whirlpools engineering departments lack of common sense.
