Washer not draining

As a first time home buyer, I was on a budget buying appliances, because this washer is the cheapest, I bought this. I read the instructions, did all the trouble shooting and my clothes would still come out soaking wet! so I have to hang my clothes outside, wait for it to be drained then take it inside and put them in the dryer. It's more work for me. Today is raining so I guess can't hang clothes outside and it'll be too wet to transfer directly to my dryer. Great!!

You have to manually add it in when the rinse begins. I dont have time to do that so I exchanged it for a more advanced Maytag model which has a tray to add the softener.

Not a good machine

It vibrated way too much-- well beyond what I would consider to be normal. With that much vibration, it would be hard to see that it would last very long. We exchanged it for the mid-level Samsung (a much better washer). Definitely worth the extra $70 to have a machine that seemed to be constructed much better.

Not what we expected

We were told that it being a high efficiency washer it would actually clean our clothes better. This however is not the case. Also after just 3 load our washer quit never to start again - had to be replaced.

This washer (WTW5000DW) is quiet, efficient, and works great. It handles large loads with ease, and cleans great. I'm not so sure the 1 star ratings are for this washer, as I have not experienced ANY of their issues. No more scuffed knuckles from an agitator, less water usage, clean clothes. What's there to complain about? Unless you hold this washer up to your ear, you will barely notice it washing your clothes. It does sound different than a traditional washer, why? Because it is an electronic, high efficiency washer, and is so much quieter than a traditional washer. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Dryer quit working & burning smell. Referred to Whirlpool repair service, quickly serviced dryer & found loose power cord in back of dryer, which was installed by Best Buy. Entire wiring harness burned & needs replaced. Whirlpool does not cover cost of new power cord, since I purchased from Best Buy. Visited store in person & called customer service, only to be told no, it's been past 90 days. At least another week until dryer will be repaired & Best Buy won't even be reasonable & cover the $19.99 power cord they sold & installed poorly. $19.99 power cord unfortunately is going to cost Best Buy a longtime & frequent customer.

But it’s not, if you have kids you know how often they stain/dirty their clothes. This washer does not wash clothes fully. It doesn’t take stains out at all. It’s all around terrible. Do not get this washer, especially if you have kids.

I don't understand how this is advertised as a "vibration control" washer. I've never seen any washer shake like this in the past. I'm also not a fan of the sensor control water levels that you can't adjust. We are having to return and go with another brand. Sadly, this is our first Whirlpool appliance and our last.
