Customers are impressed with the 4.3 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer's cleaning performance and large capacity, finding it easy to use and a good value for the price. However, some customers noted that the washer can be noisy and that the lack of an agitator, less-than-ideal spin cycle, and absence of a fabric softener dispenser were drawbacks. A small number of users also reported reliability issues.

Easy to use, instruction booklet has a great cycle guide. Machine holds a lot. Takes a bit to adjust putting in soap before loading clothes and can be a bit noisy. Overall very pleased with purchase and Best Buy customer service. They even price matched item after I had made my purchase and found same machine on sale elsewhere.

We just bought our first home, and needed a washer. I read review after review for a few different washers, and when I read the reviews for this one, I still wasn't sold. Many reviews said this washer was too loud and didn't clean the loads, but there was one review that stuck out and sold me. The reviewer said "Yes this washer is louder than what you're used to, but that's because it's searching the load to decide how much water it needs so it isn't wasting your money." The other thing he said was "People saying their clothes aren't clean, clearly didn't read the manual that came with". Knowing these two pieces of advice, I knew what to expect with the purchase, and I couldn't be any happier with it! It fits double the amount of clothes any other washer I've used can, and they're all clean perfectly! We haven't yet received our first water bill, but I'm confident that I'm also saving money on water. If you aren't bothered by an odd noise at first, then don't purchase this, but if you want to do less loads of laundry and use less water to do it, you need this washer!!

Now before I had one with the center in the middle of it and it stopped moving so my clothes hadn't been getting clean. With reading all the reviews on the washers and my price limit, I went with this one due to the open box price reduction. I brought it home without the manual so I was a bit concerned, but it took looking online to really get this working right. My clothes are the cleanest EVER!!
Love it!! Love the fact I can wash all my kids blankets and still have room for a couple of sheets!!
The only downside to this product is it's a little noisy, but mine is out on the back patio so it doesn't bother me much. May when I move. Oh and also it takes forever to get throu a cycle but heard this was just how they are now.
I rated it a four not five due to this because I assume it's a problem for a lot of people!

I had a Samsung front loading washing machine for 5 years. I had to clean it constantly and it still had an odor. This washer has done everything I needed plus more! Our clothes are finally clean and smell so much fresher. I based my purchase off reviews and the fact that the settings are simple and easy to navigate for anyone trying to use it. I have 3 kids 4 and under, cloth diaper, and my husband works construction. This washer gets the job done wonderfully. Very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this washer because my old washer wasn't working too good. I chose this model for the newer technology and that it holds a lot of clothes. The first couple of times I used it the cycle took a long time to go through and the clothes were soaked when it was done. I was about ready to return it when I read the book further and found out I wasn't using he detergent and I wasn't putting the clothes in right. Once I experamented with it a couple times they came out perfect. Now when I take the clothes out they are not as wet as they were with a regular washer. So far I would have to say this is the greatest washer ever.

I was amazed at how much washers had increased in price, comparable to what we had. This Whirlpool does a great job of cleaning, easy to use, but is a tad nosier during a couple of cycles than what we are used to.

I love this washer! It’s fast, and I can fit a lot at once and it’s even easy to wash the kid’s small blankets and things. The only thing is that it doesn’t have a spot to pour the fabric softer.

Visiting my in-laws in MA, it was evident they needed some new appliances. It started with replacing their perfectly functional yet back-breaking head thumping most un-ergonomic refrigerator. Problem was, unlike their perfectly working refrigerator, their washing machine, also functional, was beginning to show its age. It was beginning to make odd noises, had heavy rust around the drum, and cosmetically the sides and top had also rusted. They, are die-hard Whirlpool fans,, as am I, so brand name of appliance was one less thing to consider through the plethora of brand names, reviews, functions, and doo-dad availability. After nonchalantly asking my mother-in-law innocent questions about what she likes about her washing machine compared to new ones, I had an idea of what I would purchase for her. She stated how nice it would be to have a machine that had enough room for a particular bedspread of hers. She didn’t want a new-fangled machine with bells, whistles, flashing lights, and sirens!. She didn’t have the patience to read manuals, much less learn a new machine. It was a few days past Christmas, and my search was on. Debated over this machine, and the almost identical one right next to it. The major difference was this one did not have the center agitator in it. I had read many reviews about the eco friendly, energy efficient new machines that take forever to complete a load of wash, coupled with the issues of minimal water use. Times have changed and these type of machines are the wave of the future, As it’s been said, they just don’t make them like they used to. Owning an appliance that will last 20-30 years are stories you will tell your children and grandchildren about. I digress. So we chose this model, and honestly I was afraid she would not like it. Long cycles, not enough water, and how the heck can it possibly wash clothes without the agitator? Impossible! The Best Buy delivery team delivered and hooked up the new machine, and removed the old machine in record time! These guys had moving straps, and were literally running with the machines. They quickly ran the machine through the cycles, checked for leaks, and off they went. I sat in the basement dumbfounded, looking at the buttons wondering how it works. My MIL was upstairs and never even knew what just happened. My wife and I called her downstairs and she was just amazed. She quickly started playing with the controls, ran it through a few cycles, and stood there in amazement (as did I because she had it figured out before I could wrap my head around how to even start it). I did read that for heavy loads the tub should be filled with water, then place the soap in said tub, and lastly load the laundry. We did a few loads no problem. My wife and I had to return home the following day so didn’t really have a chance to run the machine through it’s paces. While on the road, my MIL calls to say she washed her bedspread. She couldn’t believe the amount of room the machine had in it. For the first time she didn’t have to struggle trying to shove the comforter in the machine. My concen, as I had read in other reviews, was that after the cycle was done, it would come out sopping wet, thus increasing the amount of drying time. Nope, it came out fluffy and relatively dry. By the way, this particular machine doesn’t scrimp on water if you choose the correct settings. She stated it had plenty of water to wash the comforter. Additionally she’s extremely happy with how clean her regular laundry comes out. No sopping wet clothes after the final spin cycle here folks. Each time she calls she mentions how much she loves this machine! Whew! Oddly enough, being displaced by Hurricane Michael we are renting a brand new place with brand new appliances. The washing machine in this rental is the Whirlpool with the agitator we were debating purchasing. While it’s a good machine it seems to have those quirks I read about. The water sensor doesn’t allow it to fill up like the one we purchased, even though the controls are almost identical, Also, the machine with the agitator locks once it’s in the wash mode, whereas with this machine you can throw in that the pair of dirty socks any time during the cycle. In my wife’s words, “Mom’s machine is so much better”! I couldn’t be happier, and by the sounds of Mom’s praises we made the right choice!

no agitator means excellent capacity. And does a better job of cleaning than my last non-agitator model. top loader instead of front loader minimizes the front loader mildew issues. but no way to add fabric softener unless you're lucky enough to catch it right as it starts the second rinse.

I like my new washer, for the most part, in particular the increased load capacity. The only issue I had so far is that when it sometimes doesn't spin out all the water, it would be nice to have the option of just saying "spin" again. There are many options around the main dial, one of them being "drain and spin", but when I do that I get MORE water added before it spins again, and the clothes are still too wet to be put in the dryer. Otherwise, I am happy with this washer.

I’m 5’3” and was able to retrieve clothes with out standing on my toes. The Samsung I bought earlier was difficult . The extra rinse and pre soak was the reason Why I was sold on this machine. Clothes stay balanced evenly, again not like the Samsung I bought at Costco . I love this machine.

Washer is large capacity, easy to operate, and the no picking a water level thing is a bonus. If there is anything negative about the machine it is the assortment of noises it makes. Yes it is a new design but it sounds like it's readying for take off not doing the laundry. But works great!

So far so good! Easy to setup. Simple to use. No complicated computer settings, to figure out. The washer runs efficiently and effectively, and clothes are spun out evenly. This machine doesn't have the agitator in the middle, which I appreciate. My last washing machine lasted less than 3 years, I'm hopeful that this Whirlpool will be long lasting!

So far it works great. Easy to use, knobs clearly marked, Whirlpool always has been my favorite. Agitation not noisy, clothes clean and less wet, fast cycles as well. I bought the larger model washer and dryer as I had before and kids like that. So right now I rate these items a five.

This is a good washer. It does make a lot of noise but it cleans well and never smells. I do miss the agitator and the fact I cannot add to the wash once it has started with out pausing it because it locks right away until the entire wash cycle is complete.

I like the washing machine's large capacity. It is a little confusing to use. I really find the old style with the dials to set your load preferences to be more user friendly. I would prefer the ability to fill the machine with the top open, and only have to close and lock it when it is actually washing. I always forget an item or two and hitting stop then waiting for the lock to release is annoying. I like the look, it's fairly quiet and has a deep water option which takes longer but really helps get stuff clean when you have pets. It cleans better than any other washing machine that I have tried without the agitator in the middle. If it does not rust in time I will be very happy.

This is a high efficiency, low water usage washer. At first I thought there was something wrong with the washer, because of the way it operates, using such little water. My old washer would completely fill with water, then do its thing. This washer works differently, but gets the job done better than my old washer ever did. Be careful of the installation guys however, as they did not secure the drain hose to my machine properly & it caused a mini flood in my basement. I was able to fix it myself easily, but fair warning to folks to just check stuff out yourselves before you run this EXCELLENT appliance the 1st time.

The Good: This washer has ample room to put Queen sized blankets in the wash. It cleans well, and is fairly low priced.
The Bad: It can make a lot of noise sometimes. It also does not always drain out the blankets or other heavy items, making them FAR too wet to place in the dryer. Sometimes it does fine, but other times they are still saturated at the end of the cycle.
Note: I bought this because it was one of the VERY few washer/dryer sets that was actually available during the middle of the Pandemic and did not have to wait. I wanted one that was digital, but otherwise it was fine.
