Customers are impressed with the 4.3 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer's cleaning performance and large capacity, finding it easy to use and a good value for the price. However, some customers noted that the washer can be noisy and that the lack of an agitator, less-than-ideal spin cycle, and absence of a fabric softener dispenser were drawbacks. A small number of users also reported reliability issues.

This washer does not have the middle section that prevents you from loading large items into it. It’s been wonderful for us and very very simple. Highly recommend.

Simplified internal operation (detergent and softener addition), second rinse, and good-feeling knob controls. It's a pleasure to use.

I love this new washer...I was afraid without the full size agitator it might not work like I wanted it to, but it has so many options to wash, that it works wonderfully. Great buy!

This is a top load high efficiency machine, a totally new kind of creature for me. Other reviews said to read the directions first and you need to. It makes life much easier. I do not know how the machine works but my clothes come out clean. The tub is 4.3 cubic feet which puts it at the lower end for these machines. However, I have been unable to fill it up all the way and I have washed comforters and blankets and coats. No problems. There is also a presoak setting for when you need it. It does make different noises than the old machines but I do not find that to be annoying. And, as it is with HE machines it is very efficient in extracting water.

Bought my Whirlpool Duet front load washer in 2002 and it went bad 2 weeks ago. I bought another Whirlpool but not a front loader this time. Kids are grown and gone so a ginormous machine was not necessary. Whirlpool makes Maytag and others as well. I spent $300.00 less for the same machine as the Maytag without a see through lid (did not want to watch clothes being washed anyway).

I love the different wash options. Quick wash is great if you need something fast. Also the sensor is nice, because don't use more water than you need. I recommend this wash machine for anyone.

It's fine. It cleans fine. It's just super basic and that's reflected in the cost. Just pure observations though. It's loud. Like really loud. So is the matching dryer we purchased. I wouldn't say it gets clothes exceptionally clean. It just gets them cleaner than they were. Again you get what you pay for.

I hope it lasts longer than my last Whirlpool (lasted only 6 years). My first Whirlpool had for 18 years and never broke down. I left it when I sold my home. I'm taking a chance by buying another, but from what I have heard, Whirlpool mostly all the other brands.

Love it. Huge capacity. No agitator. It decides how much water is needed automatically. It's really quiet and I love the quick wash cycle for when you only have a couple things you need fast

Do far so good I’ve had 3 whirlpool washers this particular one w/out the standard agitator I’m loving the space in the tub and the quiet operation somewhat Leary of the start button
It requires more than on push to engage it at times otherwise I like my washer,

For years, I have had to micro-manage my washing machine to keep water from overflowing the down pipe each time the washer drained -- but no more! This washer has given me a no-worry washing experience once again!
True, I still have things to learn about choosing the best cycle for the job; I have to learn how to balance the heavier clothes to make the spin function at its best-- but that happens with any new machine. The automatic water-selection "sensing" feature is amazing!
To put it simply -- I love my new washer!
