Big and bold drum!
I was apprehensive when shopping for a new washing machine, but since my current washer was not fixable I had to take the plunge and get a new machine.
I'm not a fan of the high cost of new washer units, so I opted to go to a discount outlet for this purchase.
Prior to going to the BestBuy Outlet, I did a lot of searching and I just couldn't bring myself to spend so much money.
Anyway, I found this washer unit and was shocked at the price and it looked new. It may have been a floor model.
I loaded it in my car, got it home, hooked it up, and was pleasantly surprised with how well it cleaned my first load.
The wash basket is very large, like that of a front load machine, and the agitator is removable. Love this!
The only concern I have is that I notice the water level doesn't always cover the load. I notice the this depends on what the material. For example, bedding like a mattress cover did not seem to get fully submerged in the water. I actually paused the cycle to open the lid so I could push the items down into the water. Or, I've shifted items mid cycle. Hopefully everything is getting clean.
Overall, I do love this purchase.

I love that the agitator is removable, it makes washing comforters and bulky items so much easier. There are a couple of draw backs to this machine, it is noisy and it doesn’t alert me when my load is done. I had a front loader prior to this and it was super quite so I am wondering if that is why this seems so loud to me, also my clothes seem WAY cleaner than they ever did with my front loader so it is worth a bit of noise to me to have clean clothes.

This washer is noisy. Lucky for me it is in the basement. When it fills with water it is very noisy. Other parts of the cycle are pretty quiet. I love the agitator is removable. It doesn’t seem to fill with a lot of water but I find my clothes and other items to be clean. I’ve had the washer for about 3 weeks and I am pretty happy with it.

This is a nice looking and durable washer. The only things that I haven't cared for is that the wash cycles are long and it tends to be louder than expected.

I am really enjoying the washer, I wanted a washer with an agitator yet able to wash large loads. This accomplishes both with the removable. I have found that even with agitator it holds quite a bit. The major downfall of the machine is that it is very noisy.

Machine is a little loud but nothing that can't be tolerated. I have had no problems with unbalances loads as other has comment about. No real complaints its a washer and it works well. Only had it for about 2 weeks so take this at a two week look. Will update if it starts to act up, but for now all is good.

Wanted to wait to review after a month or so. I’m still getting used to it from my previous older machine. I’m used to the water continuing to run with the lid open. This one you shut and it locks the lid. But overall I love it. The removable agitator is sooo nice for washing bedding. The faucet rinse button is nice. And there’s lots of different setting options from towels, heavy duty, colors, normal, etc. I can fit way more clothes as well which is so nice as a family of 7!!

Great washing machine. It is very easy to use and the display panel is straight forward. Although some reviews say this machine is very loud, we do not find that to be true. It sounds like a washing machine that is doing its job. Nothing more, nothing less. The removable agitator is a bonus. We like having that option. On top of all of that, the delivery crew was excellent.

We have had the washer two weeks. Very satisfied with the customer service at the Kenosha store and would highly recommend the TotalTech Membership if you plan on buying a few appliances or other items! Very professional install team in the MKE area.
Washer is small enough that a petite person (5'0") can reach the bottom of the drum with little effort but spacious enough to hold blankets and comforters. The removable agitator makes it easy to do bulky loads but still comes out clean.
The built in faucet makes it easy to do spot cleaning of items prior to laundering them. Overall pleased with our purchase.

After having a machine loaded with bells and whistles including a countdown timer that was more and more incorrect, we opted for a more simple machine (who uses all those different cycles anyway?). The machine performs adequately, is a little louder than the unit it replaces, but because it has a removable agitator, which the previous unit didn't have, it doesn't go off balance as often as the old one, and hasn't shown a tendency for soap suds to leave white marks on the unagitated loads.

I am writing to express my concern regarding the performance of my Whirlpool top-load washer, Model Number WTW5057LW, Serial Number Cd0502028, purchased in March 2024.
Approximately May 10, 2025, just 60 days after the warranty expired, the removable agitator (Part Number: W11614636) began breaking apart at the bottom, causing it to no longer make a proper seal. This renders the washer less effective and raises concerns about the quality and durability of the part—especially since I only do about 1 to 2 loads of laundry per week.
I contacted Whirlpool’s service department and was informed that I would need to purchase a replacement agitator, which I did at my own expense. While I understand that the warranty had just lapsed, I feel this failure so soon after the coverage period—especially with such light usage—indicates a premature defect and not ordinary wear and tear. My previous Whirlpool washer lasted over 20 years without such issues, which makes this situation particularly disappointing.

Nice and simple and works great. So much better than the Samsung which started rusting all over after 5 years!
This machine is a little load but cleans great. Removable agitator feature is great.
Only thing that I had to get used to was that there is no detergent or softener dispenser. You just put it in the machine before the clothes. You have to use HE detergent and softener which I was already using.

Love the removable agitator option, very simple to use. Nice large capacity & deep water fill... you can wash bigger loads, blankets, rugs, etc. Washer is a little louder, no soap or softener dispenser. The one thing that impresses me the most about this washer is the spin cycle. The clothes barely feel wet, saves less drying time.

I went from a very high end Samsung unit to this very practical Whirlpool and I cannot emphasize enough the difference in level of cleaning. This unit is much, MUCH, better. The Samsung took F O R E V E R and still failed to get deodorant from armpits for instance and this unit is great at that; among getting other unmentionables out. I wish it was quieter but that's a small trade off for thorough and fast cleaning.
