    This is an excellent product. I am very happy with it. It works well in the bathroom to get rid of excess moisture build up really fast. Now I don't worry about mildew on the shower curtains, or black mold. It takes about an hour and a half, and then the bathroom is bone dry. It does have a plastic smell for about a week when first unwrapped, but it does go away. Beeps whenever you touch a button and some people may be annoyed but it does not annoy me.

    I have had this about one month and use it to some degree every day, often all day in very humid basement. So far the experience is very good. Getting it into operation was simple and using the various features is easy. I have had to clean the filter one time and it was very easy. It does a good job dehumidifying the basement though in really humid weather it the water bin fills up in about 8 hours so does require attention to keep the unit operating. I use the fan on the low setting and the unit is virtually silent, I have to stand almost next to it to be sure it is actually on. Overall i am quite happy. Obviously the long term effectiveness remains to be determined.

    We needed to replace our 20 year old dehumidifier and decided on this one because of the reviews. It runs very quiet and takes up a lot less space than our old one. Great lurchase.

    The one originally sent to me seems to be not working. It was running fine, but didn't collected any water. Hence I returned that and got another one. It is working as expected.
