I purchased this Whirlpool gas dryer on 6/16/21, specifically because it had a hamper-style door, Accudry moisture sensor, a drum light and wrinkle shield, the same features that my old Kenmore (made by Whirlpool) dryer had. The similarities end there. The new dryer is much noisier than the old one and its moisture sensor is less accurate. In addition, the Accudry knob is hard to turn, and there is no audible "click" to let you know that you have turned it enough to reach your desired setting. You don't know if you are really on "Very Dry" or "Less Dry." Oddly, there is no setting for "Medium Dry," which is really disappointing.

So far so good. Quality whirlpool product. Runs much more quietly than my older version. Lint screen on the top a must. Price of these machines are on the rise, like everything else these days.

Had a similar Whirlpool dryer that lasted over 20 years. This one seems to be equally reliable. All you really need in a dryer. Dont go for all the bells and whistles, this one straight up does a great job!

this is a nice dryer I like whirlpool. That is the brand I always get. My last one lasted about 15 yrs.

We purchased a bit upgraded Whirlpool model of the same one and size the same size and type we had owned as a replacement. We expected the performance, options and functionality to be much better given the new unit was 20 years newer. While it works as advertised, it does in now way awe us with it's performance. We specifically searched out Whirlpool to attempt to match the quality and performance of our previous machines. We will do much more due diligence on our next purchase of a washer and dryer.

An excellent basic machine, suggested by Wirecutter and living up to the praise. For those who are looking for a serviceable, easy-to use and ( hopefully reliable) product.

No fancy electronics or weird things to break here. This is an old school dryer that will probably last you 20 years. Solid construction and does its job very well.

It washes well. Has a good amount of options and seems to change water levels as we would expect.

My favorite feature on this machine is the AccuDry Sensor.

First dryer delivered was DOA... Belt seemed broken as would turn on but no tumble... After some struggles with customer service, they delivered a new one which has been terrific since. Large capacity and useful settings to get items dried quickly. Plus energy saving!

This was really a great buy and I'm so glad I chose these with the help of the Best Buy employee who went over comparisons between a couple different ones. I would more than 100% reccommend these to anyone

I love the fact that Best Buy will haul away old appliance when they deliver the pretty new ones.

Love it. Had one just like it for 19 years. Wanted the same brand and similar model. Why change when had such great luck with the old one. Not a lot of bells and whistles to break!! Great settings. Even extra low! Everything comes out looking great.

Have always loved Whirlpool products, and this dryer is not a disappointment

The dryer works well . We just replaced the washer & dryer that was 28 years old ( all of these are Whirlpool products ). The old washer made some scary sounds & thought it might be time to replace the pair just hope these last as long .

We wanted a simple machine and that is what we got. There are just enough features to differentiate on heat and time for drying but not so many features that we needed to read the manual to do a load of laundry!

Love this new dryer! Previously had to get rid of another Whirpool that was 20 years old! We got our money's worth out of that one and I expect the same from this new one. Love the switch to gas...clothes dries ridiculously fast!!!
