Whirlpool is one of the few brands in which the dryer door opens DOWN, not from the side. My dryer opens from the side and inevitable, I drop wet clothes on the floor or the dry ones coming out. I didn't want the kids going through such needless frustration. The side opening must have been a "man" redesign. A woman would have NEVER made such a stupid change.
