Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the Cabrio 4.8 Cu. Ft. 26-Cycle High-Efficiency Steam Top-Loading Washer's large capacity, excellent cleaning performance, and quiet operation. Many appreciate its ease of use and the added benefit of the steam feature. While some noted that the spin cycle could be improved and expressed preference for an agitator-less design, the positive feedback on other aspects outweighs these concerns. The price point also receives favorable comments.

Awful. Purchased in 2017. Regretted it in 2018.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poorly designed and poorly constructed. Where to start? The top is slanted so don’t put anything on there or it’ll fall off during a normal cycle. The insides started rusting within 2 years. I’ve replaced sensors and rusty screws and hoses. There is such little water in a normal cycle that I either have to run it 2 or 3 times to get clothes cleaned or use the deep water option every time. If I lived by a river, I’d rather wash my clothes there.

Poor Technology
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stay away from this HE technology. I've read the instructions and I've read all the reviews and suggestions. Clothes simply CANNOT get clean without the tub filling with water above the clothes line. Clothes come out with soap still on them and even come out with portions of the clothes STILL DRY. I regret my buying decision and will try to sell this garbage and buy a replacement with the older technology.

Awful!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't listen sales people who say how great and savie HE washers. I bought Cabrio top load--and deal with unwashed, smelly clothes, or have to redo cycles twice, water level never reaches point when all load submerged ---since where is no agitation--loads just barely moving. I really disappointed and now , I have no clue what I would choose. I wish I would keep my old washer.

I severely regret this purchase!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this washer for less than 4 months and it has broken down 4 times. The CPU was replaced at 3 months, the clothes do not come out clean and it is constantly off balance. I really wish I could get my money back...this has been a dreadful mistake. I should have bought the LG washer and dryer bundle my gut was telling me to buy. Whirlpool...NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Died as warranty expired
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Noticed some issues with some loads being wet at week 51 of ownership, by week 54 everything stayed wet. Found out how to get the fault codes, got motor/ drive failure, oversized load, stuck key, communication with cpu error. Basically $1200 worth of parts. ONLY BUY THIS DEVICE WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY! So much for buying American made. Just ordered another brand with the Geek Squad 5 year extended warranty.

I am really enjoying my new washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The machine features are great! I was worried initially about possible noise based off other reviews but the noise level was not an issue for me!

Taking it back tomorrow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Figured I'd give this a chance, bought as open item, even after reading the reviews I decided to give it a fair shot. First load was a fail, clothes still had deodorant marks and some not clean at all. Hardly agitates the load, no wonder. Going for a front loader tomorrow.

Do not buy this
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have a lot of nice, dark colored clothing, do not buy this washer. It leaves white residue all over clothes so they come out looking dirtier than they went in. Ironically, the things you do want it to remove (like makeup and light stains that should easily come out) are not removed. Also, the clothes don't smell as if they have been washed. The only thing good I can say about this washer is the clothes come out soft, but I am thinking that's because it doesn't really wash them. I have tried every single suggestion multiple times to avoid the white residue. Yes, I wash my clothes inside out. Yes, I use liquid detergent. Yes, I use a tiny, tiny amount (a tablespoon for a whole load). Yes, I have tried the pods. Yes, I have washed in warmer water. Yes, I wash my dark clothes on the deep water setting AND I add an extra rinse cycle. I have even run an additional rinse and spin cycle only to have clothes come out looking like baby powder was thrown all over them (how this happens with liquid soap, I have no clue). My dad purchased the same washer and complains of the exact same problems. I didn't return it because my husband's clothes come out fine and he seems to love it - probably because his clothes are mostly cotton and not dress clothes like mine. Now I am out of luck and have to keep this travesty of a "wash" machine. I so wish I had my stinky, moldy smelling front loader back. I never once had issues like this with that thing.

Not a good product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just figured out where to write review on this products. This washing machine never wash clothes clean. After washing clothes you discovered that some of the clothes will be dry meaning water does not touched it. The worst product i have ever used in my entire life. don't know if am unlucky with this particular one. I have been displease since day one. This morning it stops working.

Extremely poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The very worst washing machine we have ever owned. Everything breaks down on this thing. Does not wring out clothes, could run all day, because the computer in it is not right. Noone seems to want to repair this, as it is said they will not last anyway and break down again. Not even 2 years old.

Super Disappointed & Frustrated
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is pretty much garbage. I’ve given it several months to somehow change my mind but it fails to perform well altogether. If you have tough stains on your clothes, whether it’s delicate material or a heavy blanket or towel, it’s a coin toss whether it will come out first wash. I’ve even washed lighter loads trying to ensure my clothes are ACTUALLY CLEANED. Which is counterproductive to me purchasing a larger washer machine. I’m super disgusted and tried all the settings in case it was user error. Wrong! It’s the machine. If I ever get another machine it will have an agitor. I’m going back old school. I have NO idea how this machine has so many positive reviews??

Very unhappy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washer in November because of the great reviews. I I'm very displeased with the way my close are still coming out dirty. I have three young granddaughters 2nd, 3rd and 6th graders with normal dirt and food that gets on their clothes. Their clothes are coming out dirty, some spots are not even wet. I tried deep load, still some tried spots. I have to put spay and wash and scrub by hand, I didn't have to do this with my old whirlpool washer with an agitator. So sorry I bought this washer.

White Residue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every time I wash my dark clothing, it leaves a white residue all over them. I've had three appointments, taking 1.5 vacation days, to try to fix this and it's still not resolved. It's very irritating that I feel like I cannot wash my dark clothing.

Posted .Steph,
Thank you for your review.
In regards to the white residue on your clothing, this could possibly be caused by the interaction of body soils with detergent can result in the formation of a residue that is distinct from lint but may appear similar to undissolved detergent. This type of residue has a tendency to accumulate within the folds and wrinkles of garments and may be widely distributed throughout the fabric load and on individual garments. Residue resulting from the interaction of body soils and detergent may actually be more prevalent with the use of warmer water, distinguishing it from typical undissolved detergent. Other causes if this residue could be from excessive lint or excessive detergent. We advise using an affresh® clean washer cycle every thirty loads to ensure your Washer is performing at the highest level.
