I'll be honest, the dryer was an afterthoughts after I decided on the Cabrio washer, simply because I obviously wanted the set to match. I opted for the steam option since it wasn't much more on price, and it works perfectly fine, although I'm not sure how much I'll use it. I like the simple touch controls for just selecting what I'm drying, and then the various add-ons, and as dorky as it sounds, I love the chimes and touch sounds as well. The sense drying really does seem to work, and that combined with the fact that the washer has such a high speed spin, my clothes really do dry in a fraction of the time my previous dryer took. The dryer runs quiet for the most part, but the reason I knocked a star is the fact that when the dryer is running there's a slight vibration noise that sounds like it could have easily been solved by rubber washers being used when the panels were assembled. (probably something I could remedy myself, but haven't yet been motivated to deal with dragging the dryer back out so I can get behind it.) Definitely not a deal breaker. It's hard to review a dryer because in the end they haven't changed much over the years, and all I ask of it is that it drys my clothes efficiently, gently, and with little hassle, and on these points this Cabrio dryer does so with ease. (Never mind the gripes about the location of the lint screen, just keep a dry towel close by to do a 5 second wipe when you're done with laundry, which I've always done in the past anyway)

This is the matching dryer I purchased to accompany the washer. It if fantastic, normal looking design except for the touch controls. Steam option is nice, you do not have to have it hooked up to use it! A great plus, I like the idea of the humidity and moisture sensors but they can sometimes be triggered by normal weather conditions to trip false readings and cause it to think things are dry or not dry. It works fantastic and is not very loud but it all depends on the items in it. Again I have only had it less than 2 months so I cannot speak on it's longevity but I feel it will last

My only complaint is that it's louder than my old one--door closes loudly, dryer is loud when it is running. But, I like it.

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio Washing machine and together, they make a perfect pair. Overall this dryer is everything you are looking for. It has a large capacity, it runs quietly, and it works super fast. You can toggle the steam option on/off your regular drying cycles. Adding steam makes tshirts and jeans appear ironed right out of the dryer. There is also an option for a 15 minute "steam refresh" cycle that blasts your clothes with steam and tumbling. Good if you left a shirt on the floor, or if you just wanted to touch up a shirt before a meeting. There is also an option for a steam sanitation option. It's supposed to be for handkerchiefs and that sort of thing. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure I will eventually. Most cycles start out at 45 minutes, but with the sensor drying, they usually only last about half that time before they are done. This has been the best dryer I've ever owned.

    Couldn't Be More Pleased!

Before I get to the machine itself, I want to thank Donald at the Tiffany Springs store for answering all of my questions and expediting my purchase smoothly. I'd also like to thank the Geek Squad guys who arrived on time and delivered, set up, and tested the machine (and the matching washer) fast enough to make my head spin! Very enjoyable experience all the way around. As for the machine itself, unlike a lot of dryers its appearance actually does match the washers with which it is most likely to be paired (in my case the 4.8 cu. ft. Cabrio washer, see photo). It isn't the largest capacity dryer out there, but I am single and it is plenty big enough to meet my needs. To this point it has done a splendid job, and is one of the quietest dryers I've ever heard. No complaints on that score whatsoever. Some people are intimidated by electronic devices, and would prefer the more traditional knobs and switches found on less expensive machines. I personally don't miss them, and found the Cabrio's controls easy to understand and fun to use. The machine offers a wide variety of features and settings that should meet just about any laundry challenge. I have yet to use the steam function, but I expect it will come in quite handy. After I've had the machine for another month or so I'll come back and post an update, but to this point I'm delighted with both the quality and performance of my new Whirlpool!

I did not realize how bad my old dryer was until I started using this one. I did not think I would use most of the option buttons but wanted the steam sanitizer and the other buttons came with it. I have not only used the steam sanitizer many times, but also have used most of the other options on the dryer. It is easy to use, very user friendly, very intuitive. The capacity is much larger than I anticipated and I have dried blankets, pillows, and other large items with no problems.

This dryer works great. I guess a negative is that the door is a bit hard to close. Other than that small issue, we love the dryer. The varied options are a plus. I have not used the steam yet, but from the reviews that I read about the steam function, I am looking forward to using the steam. My other negative is that the top of the dryer could be a little more solid. When I hooked up the vent hose, I had to climb over the dryer and the dryer top bent in. It popped back when I got off, but still it seems logical that someone will have to be on top of the dryer during installation.??

The dryer controls are easy to use, capacity is large and best of all it is relatively quiet. Only downside so far is that the top is slightly domed, making it difficult to set things on it (like the iron or a cup of coffee, etc. - ours dryer is often a resting place for odds and ends - not so much with this design...)

I like the capacity of this dryer. It is the first electric dryer I have had in a long time and it doesn't dry clothes as quickly as my prior gas unit. The steam feature is nice to limit wrinkles.

    No more wrinkled work shirts!

Love my new dryer with steam feature! My work shirts are embroidered PGA golf polos, a polyester blend that is easily wrinkled if left in the dryer or dried with the wrong clothing. Now I set to casual, less dry, wrinkle-free with steam and wow! Now I don't have to worry about rushing down to hang up wet shirts to dry! No matter what else I am drying - jeans, towels, delicates - it senses exactly how long to dry and hot it needs to be. Like others I too wish the filter didn't have to leave a mess on top of the dryer when I pull it but having it on top deters me from stacking other junk there. I do wish the front edge wasn't tounded, can't set my large bottles of detergent and fabric softener on dryer any more, they slide right off. Had to find a cart to use. Overall very happy with new dryer, should have bought it months ago when I bought the matching washer and would have qualified for the rebate.

I bought this dryer to replace the LG front loading dryer with pedestal I was given by my father. The dryer I had before made loud noises as it tumbled and frankly was just too big with the pedestal for my smaller laundry room, so my wife and I set out for a more practical dryer. We came across this one, honestly because it had a decent rebate offer, but alos because it seemed like a good value. It has a decent amount of features for the price. I like that its touch screen instead of manual buttons and dials. Its compact but I dont feel like it effects its quality or ability to dry my clothes.I am very happy with the purchase.

    Concerning Size and Wrinkle Feature

Dryer works well and does the job. I loved the wrinkle guard feature, but I realized how much energy it takes if you forget about it. The dryer will spin every so often to make sure the clothes don't wrinkle, but if you forget about the clothes in the basement, the dryer will do this until you get the clothes out. Not a big deal, but something to think about. The other thing to watch out for is it's 29 in wide, where most washers and dryers are 27 in. - so our new apartment building that has a special area for stacking washers and dryers won't accommodate this dryer, which means we have to sell this one and purchase a new one, simply because it doesn't fit. Otherwise, a great dryer.
