    I change the filter in my KitchenAid refrigerator as recommended by the manufacturer. The Everydrop brand is good quality and lasts a long time. You can find cheaper brands that work satisfactorily, but the water is used for drinking and to make ice cubes. I want the best I can provide for my family and the Everydrop filter may cost a few bucks more.

    This is the only filter that works with our Whirlpool refrigerator that came with our house, so didn’t really have a choice but to purchase it. Fortunately, this particular filter seems to work great! It lasts about 6 months and isn’t terribly expensive. It’s easy to change out, but don’t forget you should run some water through it before drinking the water or making ice with it.

    Fits like OEM. However my fridge still says "Replace Filter" and chimes. You have to run 4 gallons of water through the filter. Seems like a lot. Pretty sure we've done 4 gallons after a month of use.
