    Just like other filters, after removing the cover from this filter and loading it into the filter slot underneath the fridge we heard the vacuum seal break and filter filling up with water. Afterwards we ran and dumped some water as per instructions, made sure all air bubbles are gone from fridge's water line. And that's it. We have same great tasting water as usual. As with any new brand I was worried that maybe our water will taste different with this filter, but was happy to see that it was not the case. No flavor is best flavor for water.

    In the Va Beach area, great tasking H20, no noticeable degradation in taste even when the fridge advises we need to change. When you get to the stage where the fridge flashes angry red lights at ya, ... well ... it starts giving me little black flecks - guessing they are charcoal. No worries though, I haven't grown an extra arm or anything like that yet.

    Good filter I guess. It's fits my fridge. Just not sure why this unit is so expensive. Might as well buy a Brita for a tenth of the cost.
