Without it, it was difficult to reach down and way back to get all the clothes out..... Adding this base is easier on my back, more ergonomic, and all of these machines (if not stacked) should come with it included. Get it.

When picked up, I was not told one item of the 2 items was OPEN-BOX!!!! I noticed it when I unloaded at home (a majority of the styrofoam was missing). I did a quick inspection while it was in the box(too difficult to remove and inspect) . I was doing a kitchen/laundry room remodel. At installation, it was noticed that the Front Drawer was not fitting correctly, the front panel had to be removed and refitted. Of course, not a DISCOUNT for the Open-Box!!!

A poor engineering design. !!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very stupid design. There are four rubber feet one at each corner on the top of each pedestal. They don't match the legs from the washer or dryer that are both made from Whirlpool. So, it is almost impossible to line them up. they, the washer and dryer try to side off those rubber feet. as they don't line up correctly.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had already purchased a pedestal for my previous dryer, however, the "design" was changed with in the last 8 years requiring the purchase of yet ANOTHER pedestal after being told delivery would not install the dryer unless I purchased this specific one. That is absurd! It's expensive! I would not choose Whirlpool again based on my experience with how poorly made their product is.
