i had the litter robot 3 and upgraded to the 4 and i gotta say it is worth every penny for me and my 2 cats.

This is life changing for my family and my cats love it, I have 2 cats using them and have no problems at all I just have to do occasional cleaning of the liner.

One month of use with one cat works great. Yes it costs allot of cash but if I get several years out of it all good on my end.

I love my little robot. I haven't had the scoop anymore and there is no more smell. It's been amazing so far

Had it for a year and half. Its not worth the price and effort to get it to keep working. I was too infatuated with the idea for the addons only for then to not work. CURSE YOU YOUNGER ME its litterally falling apart. Atleast if the temu ones break youll be down only 60 bucks

I am not sure if it was worth buying automatic litter-robot 4 for $699 plus taxes, however, I just wanted to give it a try. Pros: 1) It has an app that can track when the litter needs to be changed 2) you would only need to change the litter once per week. Cons: 1) The space inside is smaller than I expected. 2) It uses more litter than I expected.

The Whisker Litter-Robot 4 is pretty amazing. First, it is big, takes up a good amount of space. But, it’s great! Comes in a huge box, and is bagged inside there. Set up was easy. Accessing the app was easy too. It connected quickly through Bluetooth to my Wi-Fi. I set this up where my cat’s original litter box was. She’s a big cat & I honestly wasn’t sure this was going to be big enough inside for her. She was skeptical but went about her business as usual. She fits inside just fine, although it’s definitely smaller than her traditional litter pan. It didn’t fit well in the space I had it, a closet. I couldn’t slide the doors because it stuck out so much. I did sone rearranging, gave my cat the option of the old litter box & this new wonderful gadget. At first she went back to the old box, but after a couple of days she decided she liked the new one! I know that because the app tells me when it’s cycled! How cool! In the beginning I noticed after my cat had been it in she would have litter on her back, which is pretty gross. But after a few days of use & cycling through that seems to have stopped. I’m happy to have this Litter-Robot, it’s great to have & now I don’t have to remember to scoop every day! It’s amazing & I recommend it!!

We recently moved to a new home and our cat, who was a 100% outdoor cat and adopted us after showing up in our backyard about four years ago, needed to be acclimated to the new environment. Not only did her whole world of constantly exploring our last neighborhood change, we decided to try to change her lifestyle from outside, only because she refused to come in the house we assume due to our three tiny, yet loud, dogs, to more of an inside/outside cat to protect her from potentially other harmful wildlife like coyotes and snakes. Part of that change was training her to use a cat litter box as being an outside cat, where the world was her litter box, she had never been introduced to such a confined product. When we moved her, we decided to initially keep her in the garage for a few days while she acclimated and became comfortable with her new home before she was introduced to her new outdoor surroundings. We initially started with your run of the mill cheap cat litter box that you manually clean up daily before exploring other options. We then decided to try a more expensive option with another brand of automatic cat litter box that scooped the litter periodically. However, the automatic scoop mechanism would often get stuck either on the tracks or from the clumped-up cat litter and it was more of a hassle to clean and fix the mechanism rather than simply manually cleaning a regular cat litter box with a scoop. After complaining about my latest litter box cleaning debacle during a dinner roundtable, my son introduced me to what they used in their household, the Whisker Litter-Robot. He told me how amazing and easy it is with them for their cat and that I should check it out. So, I picked up my phone and searched for it and… the price. I was taken back that anyone, especially my son, could spend so much money on something that, so I initially thought, could serve the same purpose and cost less than 10% the cost. After dealing with our old, automated litter box’s constant issues for a few more weeks, I finally decided to take him up on his recommendation and pull the trigger on the new Whisker Litter-Robot 4. When the HUGE box was delivered to our house, I was eager to set it up and hopefully forget the troubles I had with the introduction of cat litter to our lives. Set up was simple and simply plugging the device into a power outlet, downloading the Whisker smart phone application, following the steps outlined in the easy-to-understand video on my phone including filling the robot with cat litter and running a cycle prior to first use. We introduced the Whisker Litter-Robot to our cat by placing it in the same spot as her last, useless, litter box and it took no time or hesitation at all to make use of it. The smart phone app has so many useful features including sending push notifications when your cat(s) does its thing, the robot performs a clean cycle, a history of the cat(s) routine when visiting the litter robot, tells you when the waste receptacle needs to be emptied and even weighs your cat(s) every time it enters the Whisker and does its “business”. The Litter-Robot performs a clean cycle when it knows your cat(s) has visited and is clear of any movement. The clean cycle consists of the inner circle rotating causing the litter and waste to be filtered through the grill gate and the clumped-up litter/waste into the waste receptacle in the bottom of the unit. When the app tells you the waste receptacle is full, you simply pull out the front step, bag up the waste for disposal and replace the old waste bag with a new one. The Litter-Robot comes with some bags and once they are used up you can either buy more from their store or use any other grocery style plastic bag to save some money. You also should use premium clumping cat litter so it doesn't clog up the robot. My son was right, the Whisker Litter-Robot is a game changer and, in my opinion, worth every penny over the lifetime of your pet(s). No more getting down and dirty cleaning up cat waste or having to troubleshoot other, cheaper, automated cat litter box devices that aren’t worth throwing your money away for.

I was a bit skeptical regarding the whole self cleaning kitty pan, until I tried out the Whisker Litter-Robot 4 Wi-Fi Covered Automatic Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box. This thing is awesome, hands down. I used it for a couple weeks prior to this review to ensure I was able to capture this products abilities. The most difficult experience I had was waiting on my cat to muster up the courage to use it, which took 4 days. How would I have known? Because one of the Whisker Litters features is to tell you when the litter box has been occupied, waiting to get that first alert was becoming a nail biter. Unboxing and set-up was very simple, the waist basket comes with a set of bags, so this is pretty much 99% free of getting your hand dirty. The litter box is quite large so placing it under most countertops is not going to be an option and it does require to be plugged into an outlet. However, even with its larger footprint, it is not a terrible eye sore and you definitely do not get any odor from it being used. It is very quiet, to the tune of not waking you up in the middle of the night should your kitty need to do their business. The entrance to the litter box has a proximity sensor of sorts which ensures that the litter box wont perform a cleaning cycle with it being occupied. As with anything litter box related, I would still recommend a full change out of the litter and a general cleaning of the rubber pan liner with a vinegar base cleaner. I would stay away from things with bleach or to harsh of a chemical as that could degrade the rubber liner over time.

I can’t believe we waited so long to get this! It really is awesome. Pricey? Yes, however we have 3 cats and keeping up with multiple boxes is challenging. I had no idea it tracked the different weights of my cats and will tell me exactly who went when. The app makes it so easy to use and monitor. We opted to make our own stairs as one of our cats is elderly. She prefers carpeted areas she can dig her claws into to help her balance. The litter trapping mat is great and easy to use. I also realized we are going through less litter. I read a lot of reviews and opted to use the Boxiepro Probiotic clay litter. No issues with litter sticking to the inside. Overall a fantastic product that all 3 cats immediately took to and will make life easier for us.

I love this thing! No more cat litter smell and the cats took to it right away. It’s so quiet, I never hear when it runs. My only complaint is that I wish there were a line to show where the litter should be filled to, but that’s miniscule. I thought the price was really steep and it is, but I’d say worth it if you can save up for it.

I do not regret buying this at all! So i was super skeptical about buying this because of the price. But i was pregnant and i know my husband was tired of cleaning it so i said, hey lets ask for best buy GC and pay the rest. It has been amazing. We dont use as much kitty litter, we are actually not buying as much as we used to. Cleans every cycle. Yes sometimes it can glitch due to the sand dust and such buts its an easy fix. The App will tell you how to fix the error. The App will also alert you when the box is getting full. Overall, if they were to come out with another series i think i woulnd consider it. We got 2 cats btw. It did take one of them maybe 3 or 4 weeks to use it since he was a scary cat but our other cat used it right away. I do recommend buying a large cat mat to trap the litter. Our scary cat jumps out of it like its coming for him so he is the cause of the mess.

If you have been thinking about doing this but haven't pulled the trigger yet... DO IT! I love this litter box. It doesn't smell, you change it once every 2-3 weeks, it is so easy to change out and add the litter. I am also saving money on litter! I used to have to buy a 20 lb bag of litter every 2 weeks now I buy every 6 weeks. Yes, I had some issues in the beginning but there are multiple videos for troubleshooting and technology isn't always going to work 100% of the time. Be patient and once you understand how it works your life will be so much better.

It’s expensive and i can’t believe i paid that much for a litter box! Haha. But so far we have used the Litter Robot for a week and it has been great alot less to have to worry about. No issues, it’s quiet, no smell, keeps litter extremely clean. Should have bought one before now. We had a older automatic litter maid it worked okay but not great used it for several years. But this one is 100x’s better then our other one.

If you are stuck with cats, at least elevate your experience and stop scooping. It is much more hygienic because your cats are not continually going back into a dirty litter box and tracking filth throughout your home. Uses less litter in comparison to a traditional litter box because the clumps do not sit and grow. Even for the price, I would never go back. Litter robot 4 is much better than 3. Deeper waste box and much quieter. Do not get the 3. Totally worth it.

I’ve owned the LR3, which i returned a while back, and now i have this, which i’m deciding to keep. With the LR3, my cats, both accidentally and purposefully, would throw the litter around, which they never did with a regular litter box. Also, it was too wide to fit in the spot the old litter box did, meaning it was less convenient than a litter box, despite the automatic scooping. With the LR4, it fits in the same spot as the old litter box, so it doesn’t impact the space more than the litter box did. Plus, although my cats still spill some litter out of this, its a manageable amount, with the LR3 i was picking up more litter off the floor than i would need to scoop with a regular litter box. With the LR4, while some litter does escape, I don’t always need to clean the surrounding floor daily, whereas i had to clean the surrounding floor like 3 times a day with a LR3.

I have 2 cats and this has been great. There is no smell and we change the tray once a week. It is very quiet, I cannot hear it at all. Do not over fill the litter because it will dump any extra into the tray.

I absolutely love it and love not having to scoop up litter. I have two cats and they both used it, took them like 2 days to get adjusted and start using it. I like the app and the notifications as well as being able to adjust the time in between cycles.
