Customers consistently note the Litter-Robot 4 is easy to use and performs well overall, with many stating it's the best litter box available. The noise level is significantly improved compared to previous models, and the app is considered very useful. However, some customers find the price to be a drawback, and others mention the size may be too large for smaller spaces.

Hopefully this will help those that are considering this product. To start with, I have 3 cats, one's an older cat (14) and the other two are 1 year old. One of the cats is a BIG cat. I needed something that would work for all three cats. Before any purchase I used to have the Pet Safe product. It worked really well actually, but the litter was the crystals and was VERY expensive. I was spending probably around 40.00/week on litter, which was WAY too much. I wanted to go back to sand as it's cheap. I originally (and still have) bought the Leo's Loo Too, which was a little cheaper (I was concerned about spending this much money on an automatic cat litter cleaner). At first the cats loved it. I thought this was the perfect product. However, after some time, I found my big cat was going to the bathroom randomly on the floor. I thought maybe he wasn't liking it much. The hole in the Leo's Loo Too was fairly small and I thought that may be a problem. Not only that, the leo's loo too, was fairly messy on the tray area. The litter would, at least several times per bag change, end up inside the machine, which I had to pick up by hand. It was pretty gross. I finally broke down and bought the Litter-Robot 4. The entry was much bigger than the leo's loo too. The cat's love this product. The entry is big enough for the cats, even my big one. There is essentially NO mess inside where the litter bag catches the litter. This product is hand's down worth the money and much better, in my opinion, of the leo's loo too (which by the way is also very expensive, but maybe 50.00 less expensive than this product, but again, not worth it for me). I've had no issues with this product (and I even use the scented leo's loo too bags in the litter robot, which are awesome!). So from my point of view, this product is by far, hand's down the best one out there. While it's an upfront expense, it has easily saved me in the long run due to the cost of the litter in my old Pet Safe litter.

Has been great for 2 cats so far after a few months of usage. It did take about a week or 2 for my cats to use it so definitely follow Whisker's transition guidelines. One thing that I would recommend before transitioning over to this machine is actually find some way to raise your old litter box onto a platform or something so your cats get used to climbing up into the litterbox. The LR4 sits high. Another thing is that the inside of the box seems large, but is actually very small once a grown cat gets in there. At first the cats felt nervous and anxious by how little room they had compared to the standard rectangle litter boxes. But then comes another problem. Because the LR4 rotates the basket, sometimes litter particles get attached to the sides and top. So whenever our cats get into the LR4 their bodies will touch the top or side and when the exit the LR4 they will have litter attached to their bodies. Thankfully it's minimal, but annoying. Finally, I thought this LR4 would be lower maintenance than a regular catbox but I'd say overall it's actually about the same. Some times there are 'pinch faults' or 'dirty sensors' so you have to actively maintain the inside of the LR4 but usually this entails just giving it a quick wipe down of the inner walls and ceiling every so often. Oh, also, you may need to change what litter you use to ensure it doesn't mess up operation of the machine so be aware of that during the transition period. Despite it not being as set-and-forget as I thought it would be, I am still very happy with this purchase would say if you can afford it, go for it. It definitely aides with cleaning and preventing smells in the house.

Let's start off with, I have 4 cats. I had a bunch of litter boxes, and probably 3 of them were Litermaids, which I loved immensely. The problems with the Littermaid are that you have to get the old style ones or they jam up, and they have a tiny waste reservoir (which is smelly). Loved them more than scooping myself. Waffled for quite some time on the litter robot, but I decided to get one, then got a second one. You will definitely want to get the extended warranty. I've had a board go out and rhe rubber bladder thing starts deteriorating after a while and all that willl get replaced under the warranty. Do not skip the warranty. I have only had 2 real issues. A boad going out and the deteriorating rubber thing where the litter sits. No other issues other than having to reconnect it to the internet. Here's where it has been helpful, other than scooping all week long, so that I don't have to. The robot will weigh you cat(s). Is it 100% accurate? No. Is it accurate enough to know if one is losing weight? YES! Two cats have been taken to the vet and I can tell the vet when they started losing weight. One had a terminal illness and I started hunting her weight down in the history and let the vet know. Another cat was losing weight due to pain. Checked to see when it started, after getting meds, checked to see if he started gaining weight. Its really nice. Is it worth the cost? The depends on your time, how many cats you have, blah blah. For me, yes, it was worth the cost because it is getting harder to find the old style littermaid.

I recently purchased the Whisker Litter Robot Automatic Self Cleaning, and it has been an absolute game-changer in managing my cat's litter box. As a cat owner, I've tried various litter boxes and scooping methods, but this product takes litter box maintenance to a whole new level of convenience and cleanliness. First and foremost, the self-cleaning feature is incredible. It automatically detects when my cat exits the litter box and starts the cleaning cycle. No more daily scooping for me! The Whisker Litter Robot effectively separates the clumps from the clean litter, and the waste is neatly deposited into a waste drawer. It's such a relief to come home to a fresh and clean litter box every day. The ease of use is another standout feature. Setting up the Litter Robot was a breeze, and it works seamlessly with various clumping litters. The large litter chamber is perfect for my multi-cat household, accommodating all my feline friends without any issues. I'm also impressed by the reduction in odor since using this self-cleaning litter box. The waste drawer is easily accessible and simple to empty, ensuring that unpleasant odors are contained. It's a real game-changer for maintaining a fresh and odor-free home. Although the Whisker Litter Robot is an investment, it's absolutely worth every penny. The time and effort it saves in cleaning the litter box are invaluable, and the overall convenience it provides is unmatched. Plus, my cats have taken to it without any hesitation, which speaks volumes about its comfort and usability. In conclusion, if you're a cat owner looking for a hassle-free and hygienic litter box solution, I highly recommend the Whisker Litter Robot Automatic Self Cleaning. It's a smart investment that will make your life easier and keep your feline companions happy and healthy. Say goodbye to daily scooping and hello to a cleaner, fresher litter box experience!

Best investment we've ever made! Its so simple to clean and has made the cats extremely happy. I was very worried about the scaredy cat getting use to it. However, after a few weeks of following the tips and recommendations from whisker, our cats took straight to it. It also solved the problem of our scaredy cat using the toilet outside of her box. She is very picky about a immaculate litter box. We've saved so much money in litter which has also paid for itself. If you're on the fence don't be! This thing is amazing.

Love love love this! I have 3 cats. I wish I could say I never have to scoop again but one of my cats is terrified of it so I have 1 regular litter box aswell. If you purchase this you need to be carful introducing them to it or they will never touch it. I'm working on getting my scaredy cat used to it with lots of treats and head rubs but its alot of work I wouldn't have to do if i was more carful in the beginning.

We went back and forth on wither to spend this kind of money on a litter box. But I got to tell you the is the best thing that I have bought in a long time. It is very quiet and our two cats love it. The app is nice to have, it lets you know when the box is full and when to empty it. If you have two cats that weight the same, the scale in the app does not work. That is the only downside.

We struggled for the past 2 years with a very tempermental early production LR3 and decided that it was finally time to budget for a new Litter Robot 4. We are so happy with this purchase and enjoy having some freedom again. Due to the struggling 5.5 year old LR3 we supplemented with a manual litter box. We do not need to continue this any longer and our 2 male cats LOVE this machine. Since we already had a Litter Robot they acclimated to the new one pretty fast. It is so quiet in comparison to older models and exponentially easier to clean (highly recommend doing this as Whisker proposes in the owner’s manual.) The cost is a lot up front but you will get many years of use out of these products. Highly recommended to our friends amd family with cats as it has been worth every penny. Thankful for the Whisker phone app and is a great benefit as you are never left guessing about its operation or capacity. Cleaning the sensors is important as dust and hair does makes it way in there. If you are on the fence, take the jump, you won’t regret it.

This is my second box. We now have one on the second floor as well as the basement. I LOVE this. My cats adjusted easily to it. Even my old girl had no problems. The young guys kept sticking their noses inside during the cycling so it kept stopping. It’s been several months now and they are not as curious. It stays clean and the smell is practically gone. It is simple to use. I can’t believe how much money I have already saved in litter!!! I’m down to 25% of what I was using. It has easily paid for itself!!!

Amazing device. It has changed everything. It runs quietly, is easy to clean, I’m saving on litter, and you don’t have to touch the bad stuff. Cats are cleaner and healthier, too, and the app tracks their weight and usage. Just amazing.

I have had the Litter-Robot 4 for 13 months. It is sooo expensive, but worth it. I change the bag twice a week and no smell. I have two cats, and I have no problems transitioning them from a traditional box to this automatic box. 12 months ago, I would have said this is worth every penny and 5 stars, but in month 13, it stopped working! I've tried the troubleshooting videos. The manufacturer warranty is expired at 12 months. I did buy the Geek Squad warranty, I feel a bit embarrassed hauling this used potty back to the store for a refund, but it's 700 freaking dollars. Thankkfully BB's warranty is hassle free and I was told they would take it back with no problem. I am ordering another one with a GS warranty. It's worth not having to scoop multiple times during the day.

Both of my cats have adjusted to the Litter Robot quicker than I expected. One cat is easy-going while the other is anxious and doesn’t like change. During the transition, it worked well for us to have one regular litter box still available. When I can, I plan to have a second Litter Robot. It is worth the price, though I wish it was a little more affordable.

I had the LR3 which worked well first 3 yrs then started to break down. Was extremely hard to clean the way it was built as well as size. I was without it for awhile and then decided to get the 4. Much quieter. More compact and less parts. However, same problem i had with LR3- litter clumps stick to surfaces and often dont make it into bin. Inhave one cat who pees in a huge area and winds up walking thru it before it hardens. Other cat has very soft poop which constantly sticks to sides. Should have uses a non stick surface in construction. Overall, I really like it but finding the right litter is trial and error. And it uses way more litter than regular scooping so a bit of an added expensive. The overal price of the robot is outrageous. The LR was $300 less. Much more reasonable. Id ditch the wifi nonsense and lower the price. Also the original warranty was 3 yrs. It is only 1 on the new model. Not a great endorsement of reliability.

We have had the litter robot for 24 hours. This thing is amazing! I have had cats my entire life and cant believe I have lived with out this. One of my cats is so picky that if there is any clumps at all he will poop on the floor. Not any more!! I followed suggestions and had it on the off mode for a few hours so my cats could get used to it. The funny thing is they are ao amazed when it cycles that they keep triggering it to cycle again. But it doesnt scare them at all. They are just super curious. The coolest thing about the litter robot is that it can tell the difference between my cats acording to weight. So I can keep track not only how often each cat uses it but keep track of each cats weight too. It was expensive for sure. But soo worth it!! We used the best buy card for 18mo no intrest.

We have multiple cats and had to clean the litter every day. Even then it didn't seem clean. Now, it cleans after every time the cats use the box. It also saves money on litter. I mean, no scooping is amazing. With the litter robot 4 connected to our phone, we know who uses the bix, when, and when to change the bin. The smell has gone down to almost nothing. My only complaint is the price. But, if you can overcome that, you'll absolutely love this item.

Absolutely love it! Have not had any problems with it and is very easy to use, set up can be a little tricky but just take your time and it will work out, buttons on the top are very easy to use and understandable, yes the price is high but it’s well worth it over some other automated litter boxes. The drawer for waste is big and we have 3 cats and only have to change it a couple of days. Don’t second guess it. It is worth it, and great customer service here in the USA
