Inaccurate step counting; healthspan is goofy

Step counting is ridiculously inaccurate; makes you question how good the rest of the metrics are. I can do 1,500 steps just emptying the dishwasher in the morning. Whoop also makes a big deal about Healthspan … but think of all other things that goes into a healthy life (blood sugar, diet, emotional and mental health, unexpected ailments like cancer, etc) … so Whoop taking some basic exercise and sleep metrics to derive this is a bit too much.
Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to let us know. We’re always working to improve and deliver the best possible experience for our members, and feedback like yours helps us do just that. It didn't match with my phone, when I was told by salesperson. Then I was advised of a large fee for keeping my info. To me, why would I need this when I have doctors for that

The whoop itself is great, the software is awful. It’s hard to go a single day without what should be a deal breaking bug. God forbid you ever have any support questions because their support is now fully AI. And not only is it AI, it is by far the most incompetent AI you will ever encounter. You will yell and scream at how incompetent their AI is.
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re truly sorry to hear this has been your impression. While we’re glad the hardware is working well for you, we know the software experience is just as important. Our team is always working hard to address bugs and improve app stability so you can get the seamless experience you deserve.
We also want to clarify that while we use AI to streamline quick responses, our human Membership Services team is very much available to help, and we want to make sure you’re supported. Please reach out to us directly at support.whoop.com so we can better understand the issues and work toward a resolution. We appreciate your patience and the opportunity to make this right.

I enjoy this item very much, especially for Recovery

I am a relatively new user to the platform and this will be my one and only year on it. I purchased this device with the intent that the upgrades will be free as long as the membership is renewed. However, WHOOP has now backpedaled on their word and want to charge an extra $50 to upgrade to the new hardware. As if the membership itself isn't already expensive but now they added this layer on top of it.
Even on their website, going through a look-back:
WHOOP is committed to releasing new and regular updates WITHOUT requiring the purchase or use of a new device. .... Additionally, instead of purchasing new hardware every time an updated model is produced, WHOOP members receive the next-generation device for free after having been a member for six months or more.
This verbiage is no longer available on their website as of yesterday when they announced these. Very shady and very upsetting as I had some high hopes!
Thank you for reaching out, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience you've experienced. To clarify, you don’t need to upgrade your hardware to continue enjoying many of the latest WHOOP features and improvements. If you’re interested in upgrading, there’s no hardware cost when you extend your membership for another 12 months. If you’d prefer not to renew right now, you can still upgrade immediately with a one-time hardware fee ($49 or $79, depending on the hardware you choose). If you have any additional questions, our Membership Services team at [email protected] will be happy to help. We’re here to make sure you get the most out of your WHOOP experience.

Love the software and product. A big selling point to get the whoop 4.0 to me was that you get the hardware for free, So I was excited about the introduction of 5.0. Now they charge a $49 fee on top of the $239 per year that I paid... I understand that they charge $79 fee to get the "more premium" version. But I was not expecting this and I am disappointed.

The heart rate tracking on the Whoop 4.0 during exercise is very very inaccurate. I was hoping the Whoop 5.0 would fix this problem, but it didn’t basically without an accurate heart rate. It is garbage in equals garbage out
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience with heart rate tracking. Accurate data is core to everything WHOOP does, and we know how frustrating it can be when that’s not your experience. Our team can help troubleshoot fit, placement, or settings that may improve accuracy. Please reach out to us at [email protected].
