The bottom is deep enough for 5 or 6 bags of frozen veggies, the top shelf is deeper which I use for items frozen flat in freezer bags ie .. mashed bananas for banana bread, veggies for soup, several layer nicely on the top. Don't know how fast frost develops, I put the less used items in it so doesn't get opened often. Said it weighed 44lbs, I lifted it easily so don't think so & unpacking was easy. So far, working fine. It is more expensive than a larger one for some reason, but didn't have room for more than this size

Easily switched the door to open the other way. Comes with the cutest little ice cube tray! No complaints but it would be better with a cover over the compressor in the back.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This freezer keeps things nice and frozen but I do NOT recommend it for bedrooms/studios/dorms etc. I live in a small studio apartment with an open floor plan and I can hear the compressor click on/off EVERY time. And it happens like every 10 or 15 minutes or so. I can also hear it buzzing along while it runs. I can't hear it running while I'm watching TV, but the sound of the compressor clicking on and off still catches my attention at times even with the TV on. I use a white noise machine when I sleep at night and that's enough to drown out the fridge but during the day that compressor clicking on and off is super annoying.
