First the good, it’s a beautiful fridge. That’s it for the good news. Bad news, it’s incredibly loud. Literally gives me a headache being in the same room. Also the cooling plate (not cold) creates very large chunks of ice that need to be removed regularly. Customer service is non-existent, if you’ve read the troubleshooting guide in the manual, then you know what you’ll get from service. Buy something else unless all you want is a pretty fridge.

This drink fridge puts such a nice stylish look along with convenience of holding a lot of drinks. The shelves are removable to make room for bottles and cans. On occasion makes some humming noise but nothing more then a standard fridge. Overall extremely happy with this item.

Holds all our beverage needs. Some people commented about noise. I had a similar issue but was able to resolve by carefully bending one of the copper refrigerant pipes so it was not contacting other components. Very pleased.

To be fair, this review is only for someone that is looking to use this in living corridors. I read some review that place this in a basement or away from you. We tried to use this in the living room, it is very loud, the compressor kicks in and it goes back and forth between the compressor and the buzzing. My child was 20 ft away and jumped as it scared him as the fridge clunks on and off. This is unusable if you want it near the TV room, or kitchen or you need a simi quite area, this dominates the living space with loud buzzing, snapping and clunking, 24/7. Just be aware of some of these reviews as they mainly store them away in the basement or mudroom. We have a two story place, I can hear this mini fridge on the second story. Also, the back section does not have a panel the covers it, just a large open section. There is a cheap plastic drip pan that came cracked in half.

Cools well, but is not an under countertop unit

I got it for under the counter top in basment rec room. Unpacked it, read manual. Manual states it is a freestanding unit, requiring at least 5 inches clearance on back and each side, meaning it's not suitable for use as a built in or under counter unit. Since I only had 5" clearance in back, and 1" on each side, I had to solve this issue to put unit in desired location. Couldn't do anything about side clearance, but since unfinished area was directly behind the unit, solved issue by cutting a hole in the dry wall at the back, directly behind the compressor, to allow ventilation. Unit also had to be placed on a board cut to its dimensions (can't be place on carpet - again, ventilation). Put a vent cover over hole. It chills very, very well, unlike some negative reviews I had read. Overall, I'd recommend it, but be careful about where you put it.

We recently purchased a Whynter 117 Can Beverage Cooler (model BR-125SD) from Best Buy. We have used the unit for 2-3 months, and for the most part are disappointed with the function. In general it does not keep beverages as cold as we would expect. Additionally, ice has formed on the back wall of unit multiple times, requiring us to empty the unit and defrost it.
For a new unit, I would expect better functionality. Very disappointed.
