I purchased this refrigerator about 5 months ago. When it first arrived it worked great and was exactly what I wanted for my office. about 2 weeks ago, the fridge started shaking and making a very loud humming noise. I unplugged it, let it thaw out and then plugged it back in. Same issues continued. I purchased the 2-year Geek Squad protection plan with this so my first call was to them. Turns out that protection plan is worthless for the first year as everything has to be handled directly with Whynter under the manufactures warranty. After contacting Whynter and sending them videos of the sound issue, the only option I was given was to take the fridge to a UPS store and have it packaged up and shipped from where I am in Maryland out to California to Whynter to be repaired AT MY EXPENSE. What a waste. Don't purchase this product or the Geek Squad protection

This fits great into a custom "coffee bar" cabinet for the lobby for our clients and guests. The shelves are adjustable for different sized beverages. Plenty of storage and quiet. Very stylish.

My drinks are practically room temperature. I didn’t install it immediately after buying because it was going in our outdoor bar. When it was finally installed, we realized that it sucked. Does not cool my drinks. By then it was no longer returnable. I will try to contact the manufacturer directly. Hopefully they can help me. If so, I will update my review.

Loud humming noise and now popping sound

The refrigerator is loud. It hums all the time and almost sounds like an aquarium with water running through it. About a week about it has started making loud random popping sound. The popping sound is so loud it will startle whoever is in the room. I like the white cabinet with stainless steel, but the sounds it makes is too loud. I regret this purchase

• The high efficiency compressor may make a pulsating or high pitched sound.
• Rattling, bubbling or gurgling sounds and slight vibrations are the result of the refrigerant circulating through the cooling coils.
• Cracking or popping sounds are caused by the expanding and / or contracting of the cooling coils or plate.
• Water running from the evaporator to the water bin may make a splashing sound.
• As each cycle ends, you may hear a gurgling sound due to the refrigerant flowing in your wine refrigerator.
• You may hear air being forced over the condenser by the condenser fan.

It looks great. But even in a 72 degree room, it doesn't cool below 44 degrees according to 2 thermometers. And opening the door to quickly remove a can will raise the temp above 50. Additionally it makes a variety of noises, sometimes simultaneously. There's an irregular growl, 2 different hums, a shudder and a kerchunk. I should've tested it before lugging it up 2 flights of stairs to my bedroom. Oh well, my midnight thirsts will have to be quenched with lukewarm drinks. Maybe I can get used to the noises.
