Cools very well! They do need to work on the clamps that hold the tubes. The tubes are difficult to remove. Also, both clamps broke right away on one side and they will not replace the unit. The tube does not stay in place with no clamps. The unit has only been used twice and bought less than a year ago. Other than that, it works great!

I previously had an AC unit from Lowe's named IDYLIS. The exhaust blower fan fins pulled away from the fan housing and splintered all out the back of the unit rending the unit inoperable. This one has superior parts on observation and performed great. It is a dual-hose unit and is much more energy efficient than my last one. It is also much quieter and mixes condensed humidity with exhaust air so you do not have to dump it as often while on AC mode. I live in a tropical area and have used it for over a month without having to dump water at all.

Well worth the purchase. Cooled my room that is larger than the recommended size. My only issue was that the cord was short for where I needed to place it and/or I needed a longer exhaust hose. Otherwise it was well worth the money.

Bought this as an open box item and it worked great when I bought it home. While a bit heavy, one person can do it to get in the house and then it wheels around. Didn't take too long to figure out the exhaust tubes and put in the window. We could feel a difference in our family room after a few minutes.

I needed an air conditioner for a big rectangular room (previously a single car garage) with very poor air conditioning flow from the house's heat pump, measuring about 300 sq ft this room has 10 foot ceilings which in my opinion is more space. Without this unit, this room will easily be 90 degrees. It significantly cools this room. It has continuously ran since the end of July set on 68 degrees, automatically shutting off the air conditioner part when the room reached 68* (mainly at night) leaving it to continue to run as a fan until the air conditioner comes back on when needed. I haven't had to drain any water as of yet but according to the manual most water that is extracted from the air is used to cool and exhausted to the outside. Can't review just yet on the heater part but expectations are high.

This air conditioner and heater are very good, and we had it for a while. Unfortunately, it stopped working because the thermostat failed and never turned off once it reached the set temperature. Fortunately, we had a warranty and got it replaced. The only annoying part is that when the heater is running, we need to remove water almost every day.

Idk why those reviews are 5 stars, this unit is really noisy, like, really, you can't sleep with this unit running, and also the fan is always running (after reaching the temperature). If cools down really fast

Easy set up I use it to heat and cool a one bedroom house and it reaches all areas. It’s fairly quiet for a air conditioner and simple controls.

The Whynter Portable A/C and Heater was purchased as a gift to replace an aged window unit. The recipient is very pleased with the performance as an air conditioner. This unit ranked in the top 5 of ConsumerReports with very good ratings as why I made the purchase. So far so good. I rated 4 stars because it's not mine but the owner is satisfied. Hope this post is useful to some.

The reviews said this unit could cool a few rooms on one floor. In my case this is NOT true. It cools my medium-sized kitchen adequately but not the adjacent family room/eating area. The window unit air conditioner I bought for 1/2 the price is better.

Thisbl is amazing.. Although I bought it a long time go and I'm just getting around to using it, its great... Got home and my air was not working but I remembered I got this 2 yrs ago.. I was concerned it wouldn't work.. set it up . Powered it on and its amazing... thank you

Air conditioner cools very well in a large space. Temperature control is accurate. A bit quieter than other models it seems. Have not tried heater option.

I am very pleased with the ease of operation, it's mobility and the ability to cold down the desired space.

Only complaints are that portions of the fins were already bent, and the window kit isn't long enough for sliding glass doors (I had to DIY one from a piece of wood).

I am happy with this portable air conditioner. The area where its needed remains cool all day and at night i actually bundle up to keep warm.

I bought this to cool down my kitchen and my living room. Both rooms are medium size. This unit should have been more then enough for those two rooms, yet it wasn't. This unit may be a 14000 btu but it runs like a 10000 if that.

This AC rocks! Nothing like dual hoses to cool quickly and efficiently.

Have only used the A/C so far but it cools down a 350 sq foot sunroom very quickly. So far I am very happy with it. Works as advertised.

Very satisfied with the product recieved. Does as described, 500 square feet heat or cooling capabilities and reasonably priced.
