As far as the cooling goes it has worked very well throughout a hot summer for a large 18x22 room. I have yet to try the heating feature, but I will update when I do.

So far we've only used the cooling phase of our unit and find it very satisfactory for cooling our glassed in front porch. The noise level is very tolerable and we plan to use the porch for approximately 8-9 months as an extension of our home beginning in early spring and extending thru late fall.

The in flow and out flow coils are extremely difficult to stay securely attached to the back of the unit and the window panel. I had to use thermal Duct tape to secure them in place. The unit is quieter than my last unit. I read complaints about the in flow and out flow openings are too close which decreases the efficiency of the unit however I have not noticed this to be an issue.

Bought this unit to install in a room with a patio door.. Great for when you're limited on install options..

This is an amazing air conditioner! It works better than any other brand I have tried.

Love this for summer or winter! It worked great in my kids room to keep them cool or wam!

Does the job if you have a way to vent the hot air out. I vented it into the garage and it cooled my basement quick didn't check the heater but I'm positive it would get the job done too.

This purchase was made to cool one room and it has done an excellent job so far.

I bought this from best buy 3 months ago. It cost over 500. It's already broken. Best buy want take it back because i didn't buy warranty. I asked lady if they sale the warty on purpose because they know they are saleing crap. Manufacturer warranty people say it has to be returned to were i bought it. Both company and best buy are passing the buck. And I'm screwed and can't get it repaired or returned. Don't recommend product or best way anymore.

After using this product for nearly a year I can say it has served us well. It has heated and cooled our upstairs loft area and playroom relatively good. It seems to run up our energy bills when left on continuously on really hot days, yet it has done the job. It is very large and heavy, but well made and dependable. Good purchase

This does a great job of cooling for a portable air unit. Consumer reports rated it one of the best and they were right. I have another brand that was not nearly as good

It is not the greatest AC ever. It will not cool as good as a window unit, but they are not supposed to. Its used for those areas where a normal window will not fit, or isnt viable. It cools less than it says, but again that was expected as Ive had experience with these in the past. Its ok for what it is.

Waited to review this item until it made it through the summer. It performed very well, worked as advertised and I would recommend it. In very hot weather (i.e. Southeast) it didn't cool as much square footage to a truly "cool" temperature in my opinion, but still did a good job in maintaining comfort level'.

Its a good A/C but even living in weather where the heat ranges from 80 - 95 degrees, the A/C can only cool 1 room. You have to safeguard any holes that the cool air might escape out of.
