This was a good buy good for a small room hose is hard to assemble

It is very easy to set up. And I got it from an open box.

This does not work: 1. Mounting brackets does not fit properly so the air leaks out 2. Does not cool the place as normal AC 3. It says the number sqt it can cool but that's without the wall does not cool the place crossing the walls 4. Since the point 1. cant use it for the winter for heating

I am very disappointed. Doesn't cool very well. Room is small. Would like to get my money back it I could. I have 5000btu units that cool a lot better

Dont wast your time with this unit. This unit is just horrible. I really am frustrated and the company wont help either they just send me troubleshooting emails. Oh, and i wouldn't have bought this unit from Best Buy if I new beforehand that their return policy changed to 15 days... never buying anything high priced here again.

This air conditioner is amazing. It cools my apartment in about 15 minutes or less. Only thing i would say is that my apartment is 690 sq ft so i do close my bathroom door and bedroom door to get the air conditioner to cool down the living room fast because it is strictly for 500 square feet which is very reasonable since that is exactly what it advertises as. It is a bigger size than i expexted but. Works so amazing and sleek looking. I recommend this to anybody who is looking for a good quality AC

I put this unit in a large living room about 300 sq ft with 13 foot high ceilings. This room has large bay windows and in the summer can get up above 90 degs. Based on BTU I thought this unit would be over kill but it seems to take quite awhile to get the temperature down to a tolerable level. No matter how long it ran though it never got down to the preset temperature to shut off. Possibly my expectations for this room in these conditions were too high. It's also fairly loud, which is probably to be expected for a floor unit, so trying to watch TV while it's going is nearly impossible. It did, however, do what it was bought for and my previously uninhabitable room was useable again. Possibly a more ideal room in less harsh conditions would allow this unit to fair better.

Replacement for a similar specs Honeywell unit which was no longer available (possibly discontinued?). Just installed this unit with limited usage but in all respects seems like better at cooling and expected to be better at heating.

I am insanely happy with my new portable AC unit. I highly recommend it to anyone suffering in a hot house. It took me several years to finally buy one and I really wish I hadn't waited so long!!!!

Today is 14 days that I have this a/c and I first got to use it last night. I have it in my bedroom, which is 12'x13' or 156 square feet. I have it set on HIGH with a temp of 68°. It is cool, but not cold! I should be freezing! This is the 2nd portable a/c I've bought from Best Buy in 30 days, both 14,000 BTU's and it's going back too! And it's not easy to pack everything back up for UPS to pick up either!!!

Read the reviews that stated it cooled big rooms easily and decided to go with it. Shouldnt have, i have a small room that i am trying to cool, about 250 sq ft. I've had it running for a couple of days and it still feels hot in the room most days. Wish i hadnt had purchased this unit and done more research before hand.

Bought this unit to cool a 400 Sq ft room, after 4 hours it was actually HOTTER and more HUMID in the room. Simply shutting it off and opening a window made the room cooler than this things did in 4 hours. It was set to A/C and set to High on the fan setting and the temp was set to 65 degrees. It was NOT on heat. Do not bother with this unit...AND there was no remote in the box.
