This film is about love, loss and the ability to rise above it all. It tells of struggles that one may face in life, and the transformations that are necessary to be able to live again. A must see for anyone that has ever had to deal the everyday trials of life.

This is a good addition to other Big Screen survival stories - illustrates perseverance and self-discovery as she overcomes the obstacles faced on her 1100 mile trek

Like the fact that its based on a true story. Sort of a what not to do as a beginner hiker, but also shows what you can do once you put your mind to something.

Reese Witherspoon was outstanding in her portrayal of the lead character Cheryl Strayed, This true to life story definitely made a great impression on me emotionally and hinged some deep feelings for the struggles she encountered in the past.

I was unaware of any hiking trails of this magnitude. Reese Witherspoon does an excellent job portraying Cheryl and the events in this true story.

I really enjoyed this film and Best Buy had it priced very reasonably. Reese is such a great actress and this film allows her to showcase her skills once again!

this film really surprised me in how much i enjoyed it. thats the end the line though, i saw little to no detail improvement between this disc and its cheaper 1080p counterpart. not one of the better offerings to show off your nice new 4k set up.

One of the best acting stories of Reese Witherspoon that I have seen. Story was certainly excellent and the courage for her personal journey was so incredible .

I bought this movie as I just purchased a 4K system. I already own it in Blue-Ray. The movie has been a favorite of mine because of the inspiration I feel watching her overcome many obstacles while walking alone on the west coast.

I read this book without knowing it was being adapted. Absolutely loved the book and thought the movie was a great adaptation. Reese absolutely killed it!!

Read the book, loved it, had to own the film. Book is way better, it always is, right? But this film is good, too. If you haven't seen it, you should.

I absolutely loved the book this was based off of. It is very rare for a movie to be able to adaquetely be adapted from book to film, but this was done perfectly. It's an inspirational movie for anyone going through a tough time. I highly recommend it!

Had concerns how the book would translate to the screen, but the movie was entertaining and Reese Witherspoon was her usual spectacular self.

I love hiking and seeing this movie also helped me to increase my hiking. Feel good story and always nice to see when someone fixes their lives up. Loved the acting and I would recommend that you rent or buy this video and watch it.

I am an avid outdoor person and I could relate to the realistic struggle the hiker went through in this true story. The scenery was outstanding and the acting was great. It should be a lesson to beginners to seriously plan such an epic journey.

I love how they gave it such a realistic and true view of what this Would be like. No frills just a great story and a genuine feel to it.

This was a great story about a young woman on a hike to remember who she is and to determine how she wants to live in the modern world. I was impressed with her independence and how she worked on her life while she walked the trail.

This is one of those films that from my point of view is hard to get started with. I finally got into the movie during the hike. The views are beautiful.

Reese does a great job playing the character, but this isn't the type of character we're used to seeing her play. Definitely not a family movie.
