I ordered online and it shipped to the nearby store. Picking it up was easy and so was the setup. The box was not made well from the manufacturer, but it did what it was supposed to do. I was not able to receive any channels in Lacey, WA. My neighborhood had trees and 2 stories. Since it was indoor, I did not test it on roof top. Returned it because I now know I need to test an outdoor model.

I was surprised how good it works, and it actually looks nice. I've been able to get a few stations more than 60 miles away. Very happy with it.

This antennae works great in the North Phoenix metro area. Clear signal, little fuzzy when a storm rolls through, but overall good. This combined with streaming content, I dont even realize cable is gone.

    I. Purchased this based on previous reviews in regards to distance capabilities. I am about 40 miles from broadcast stations. This item for me will only work consistently if antenna is close to an outside wall close to a window of the room towards city of broadcast origin. It would not work on inside wall. On appropriate area it works great.

I found this to be a great improvement over a conventional set-top antenna. Channels don't break up like they did with the rabbit ears.

I live in the foothills of the Sandia Mtns of NM with absolutely no view of the broadcast antennas. Expected the absolute worst. Once positioned in right spot, I was totally surprised how well it worked. Took a little maneuvering for best reception, even tweeking a few inches Used clear packaging tape to mount to window. Receive all the national channels plus many more. Make sure you connect to a digital ready TV.

I live 25 miles from local station. I did get 7 channels but not two of the local channels that I really need. So I returned it. Will try another brand Mohu next. Give it a try may work for you.

I tried a number of antenna and amped versions. This was by far the most powerful. Still gets static at times, but I get every channel available in my area.

Patience with the placement of HGTV antennas is paramount. I live in the Poconos so signals are not that strong. However, while unable to pick up the closest stations (in Wilkes Barre, PA - 28.5 miles away) I am pulling in stations from Philadelphia, about 60 mile away! Saving 85 bucks each month (I had Dish Network) is most satisfying. Note: In my experience, moving the antenna as little as 1 inch makes a difference, so be patient and keep trying even slightly different locations and placements of any antenna you buy.

Not much improvement over non-amplified antenna

I already own a non-amplified Weingard antenna and and have had good results for watching TV in a metro area. I wanted to upgrade to an amplified version to boost a couple of glitchy channels and increase the range to pick up a few stations that were about ten miles out of reach of the non-amplified antenna. I don't see much difference in quality and still can't receive the other stations that should be within the 50 mile range. I recommend sticking with the non-amplified version for less money.
