Video Setup & Review

The Withings Blood Pressure Monitor was a seamless setup for me. The sync with my iPhone only took seconds. Been using the scale for a few weeks now and I love the ease of use and how all the info goes right to my phone and the Withings App is easy to use. I thought about buying the IHealth Blood Pressure Monitor because the price was much more appealing but after reading all the reviews the one thing that was constant was the horrible IHealth App that was a problem for everyone. So I took a chance, paid a little more for the Withings. So far I’m happy with my decision because the Withings Blood Pressure Monitor and App just screams quality. I have a Video that shows my setup and review click or copy and paste the link below.

am happy I chose this over the Qardio brand

I am in my early 50s and recently been diagnosed with mildly high blood pressure levels by my physician. This is after a lifetime of having perfect blood pressure (and I am in the best physical shape of my life).
I had been planning for quite some time to purchase one of these wireless blood pressure monitors and was keeping an eye on the reviews for the Qardio brand that is also sold on Amazon. However, after all the negative reviews over hardware and sync failures with that brand, I knew I had to look at something else. Actually, what finally drove me to Withings was the 5-star reviews of its app on the iTunes store. There's nothing worse than a strong product that comes with a lousy iOS/Android app. Fortunately, Withings comes through with flying colors in both departments.
Out of box, setup was easy. With batteries already loaded, I simply hit the bluetooth button on the cuff and paired it with my Apple phone. I would recommend that purchasers install the app first, launch it, and have it walk you through the process.
I would also recommend that before you hit the START button on the app and take your first reading, to click on the settings icon on the upper corner of the app and have it automatically take three readings to average out your readings.
I was pleasantly surprised, using the enclosed instruction booklet, how easy it is to place this cuff above the elbow, wrap, and take a reading. It's really effortless. The results are not only sent to my iOS device, but readings are logged within the app and can easily be shared or emailed to my physician.
Have not had to change the batteries yet, so I don't know how difficult that process will be. There is a screw at the bottom of the cuff tube to access the batteries, though I am concerned about it becoming stripped over time. I would be very, very gentle with any coin used to open it.
I also, at the time of purchase of this Blood Pressure monitor, put the Withings Body Scale in my cart. At the last minute, I removed it due to a few negative reviews and the mention that there is no customer support from this company. That is concerning. However, now that I have seen the Withings app in action and the fact that it supports all their fitness products, I have gone ahead and ordered the body scale. It's kind of cool that I can track my weight gain/loss and blood pressure numbers all in one app, sent wirelessly, without me having to do anything than just use the products.

Great BP cuff for almost everyone

I am a physician that works in the technology field. I purchased this partly as a tool for myself and my family, partly to see how well this would work with my iPhone and my hospital's electronic health record system.
The BP cuff itself is easy to use. It's easy for a person to put it on alone (this can be awkward for BP cuffs). It was easy to connect to my iphone, and it was simple to operate. I confirmed with a regular blood pressure cuff that the readings that it was getting were in the correct range. (I haven't used/validated with very high blood pressure or low BP yet).
The BP information integrates seamlessly into my iphone and into the Apple Health app. It is able to upload to the electronic health record.
Battery life seems to be very good so far.
Overall, very satisfied with this product. Would definitely recommend for all people who want an easy to use blood pressure cuff, except for those who struggle with technology or who don't have a smartphone (e.g. my elderly mother in law).

I initially bought this and thought I wouldn't like it - good start eh? I really wanted this because I have other Withings products and like them but this looked too bulky - or at least bulkier than the measuring devices that go on your wrist. This is awesome! Very accurate too. I've been sending my Dr. exports from my Withings monitor (function of their website) and he asked about this. He bought one and is telling his other patients about this. He must like it too - he hadn't heard of the Withings products prior. A+++ product.

Love the Applesque design of this. Like the app and that it syncs as soon as I turn it on. Cuff could be bigger to fit us that are little more built. 20" arms make it pretty snug.

I have been using this blood pressure cuff for about 5 weeks and it seems to be doing a nice consistent job. The blood pressure report is about 10-15 points higher than my last blood pressure monitor. I have not been able to confirm the absolute accuracy, but as I mentioned it does seem to be consistent so I can view trends over time. My biggest complaint is that I often get the error box that the measurement could not be completed. I cannot determine why the error is showing up since the help/further information is all about things that the monitor can not detect. In addition, I can retake the reading with no changes in posture, etc. and it will work sometimes and sometimes not. I do sometimes have an irregular heart beat and suspect that could be causing the problem, but my previous monitor would give me a reading and tell me that the heart rate was irregular -- so I am sure that this devise could be upgraded to do the same. The other irritant is that the monitor is probably at least two time as big as it needs to be -- please make a smaller version.
Overall, I really like the ability to have the measurement transferred directly into my tracking software, without cumbersome manual entry. Solve the error message problem and I will give it 5 stars.

3 stars due to the size of the cuff. The cuff is too tight, to the point of painful during readings for my husband. As far as operation as a blood pressure cuff, it sets up easily with the app & smartphone, charts measurements, reports data well. The cuff is listed as fitting up to a 17" bicep, so one would not anticipate any fit issues ("The Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor is made for adults with an arm circumference between 22 cm (9 in) and 42 cm (17 in)." It also feels pretty long when you put it on.). However about half of the cuff is plastic with a tight curl in it. I put it around a roll of duct tape for a week hoping it would help the plastic to "relax". No such luck, it sprang right back to tiny (it is after all supposed to also fit a 9" bicep). My husband does not have a fat arm, and no, its not a matter of leaving the velcro part "looser".
It would be really nice if the unit had a [replaceable] rechargeable lithium-ion battery rather than throw-away alkaline batteries.

Connecting the device was easy. I also compared results from this cuff to a manual cuff and they were pretty close. Just got this for daily monitoring and it's doing the job well.

My annual physical included a recommendation to measure my blood pressure regularly. We took out the old manual pump up cuff and tried, but it's very hard to take your own blood pressure. We bought the Withings Smart Body Analyzer, aka scale, and were very impressed with the ease of setup and use.
When we read about the Withings wireless blood pressure devise, we checked it out, read the reviews, and were very impressed. So we bought one, and now used each morning. I like the way the iPhone app keeps track of the measurements, and I can easily share them with my Dr.
I recommended this to a friend, he bought one, and now his office mates want to get one too. We're very pleased and plan to keep using this each morning.

I like the wireless blood pressure monitor. My only complaint with it is you can not send a list of your readings to a fax or email. You have to send each individual reading to the destination. Benefit is it's light weight since you don't have a bulky display with it. The cuff takes a bit of getting use to as it is very tight and takes some use to in putting it around your arm.

Does the trick and it's really easy to use. The app opens on phone right away when you turn it on and it takes a few seconds to complete. You're able to track your info over time and export graphs to your doc if needed.
