Pretty mid set, with little to chase.

Its another one of those sets of magic, where all your favorite characters are wearing a costume. This time, everyone is a race car driver. The best thing sbout this set, are the incredible art works. Very few cards in the set have much value, and you'd be much better off bying singles of this set.

The Breakdown:
Mechanic Overload: The focus on Vehicles and the new Speed counters is fun for a few games, but it feels very parasitic. If you aren't playing a dedicated "Aether Drift" deck, many of these cards sit awkwardly in your collection.
Lackluster Rares: While the "Vault" style reprints are the clear chase cards, the standard rare slot feels underwhelming. Too many "bulk" rares make opening a full booster box feel like a gamble that rarely pays off.
Limited Variety: The set’s heavy leaning into Red and White (Boros) aggro strategies makes the Draft environment feel solved much faster than previous sets. If you aren't drafting the "fastest" deck, you're often just left in the dust.
Art is the Saving Grace: If there’s one reason to buy these, it’s the art. The neon-tinted, high-speed visuals are some of the most unique we've seen in years, even if the card power doesn't always match the intensity of the illustrations.
The Verdict: Aether Drift is a "middle-of-the-road" set. It’s great if you love the theme or are looking for specific Vehicle support for Commander, but for the average player, it lacks the "foundational" staying power of other recent releases.

My wife loves them. She was so excited about getting these for Christmas I almost gave her them early
