This set has some nice hits, so a single collector booster is a good way for novices like me to dip their toes into the MTG card game pool.

I bought one thinking there was in increase of rare/mythic cards and what I ended up with were “pringled”—meaning bent like a Pringle potato chip—cards (all foil to their credit) but still mostly common or uncommon variety. Certainly not worth the bloated price the “collectors” tag tried to afford it. It’s the same amount of cards as a standard booster and almost the same distribution of rarity among cards. There’s nothing “collector” about it. Unless they’re trying to collect your money. Unless you’re willing to pay 5 times (or more) the price of a standard booster for an entire booster pack of foil cards, just buy 5 regular packs and you get one foil in each.
