This is one of the best implementations of the Move/Eye controller setup I've seen. There's truly a few "whoa that's cool" moments as you play. So, this isn't really a game.. you don't win or lose.. its a book of spells and stories. Unfortunately, that's its great limitation too. It's like an extended tutorial with no payoff when you're done. Once you're done, you're done. If they had added on some kind of quest mission or a bunch of mini-games for afterward, it would created at least a little replay value. So, as a caveat to this review, I'm giving four stars based on the price I paid.. which was under ten dollars. Anything more and I would have felt ripped off. Easy plat if you're into that.

So I picked this up at a great price, seriously can't beat the 6 bucks I paid for it! My family always enjoyed the potter series and I already had move setup so win/win, my four year old was way into it, unfortunately it's a little above her skill set, most difficult was navigating the activities in each section, it's a kind of seek and find what to do next, you flip through a book which the ps eye camera picks up and displays graphics in relation to pages on your tv, this wasn't a problem for her she loved turning the pages, but then you waive the controller around to select what you want to so, with little instruction pointing out what to do next , we became easily lost in our journey to learning new spells. There does seem to be a lot of content for older kids that like Harry Potter, maybe a 6-7 yr old sweet spot and certainly enjoyable by us older folks as well, wo Hi doesn't love magic? So the cost entry is low, it's an easy pick up, Wouk ahve been disappointed at pm full price for sure, so if you have move pick it up, if you don't it's not worth getting all the other stuff just to play this, maybe next gen they should pack in a wand and have you wave it around while the camera tracks, even a little glow at the end would be nice, but until then this'll have to do.

I was surprised by the charm of this revisit to the world of Harry Potter. You play as a new student going to Hogwart's spell class. The mechanics are simple but it is very neat to see yourself interacting on screen. Also love the story telling with paper dolls - has a "tapestry" come to life feeling. But the game is very paced...do this, then do that, all interlaced with great animated Rowling story telling. This means little ones may not have the patience to wait for the next wand activity.

Easy pick-up-and-play game for the young and young at heart. Though there is not much replay value unless you love using the PS3 move. Gameplay: There are YouTube videos that do a much better job showing the gameplay than I can describe. In short, you set the book in front of the PS3 Eye, and wave the PS3 move wand over the book to cast spells.

My daughter really liked learning to cast the spells from the Harry Potter movies. The additional narrative and side tasks kept her from becoming bored. She liked the game well enough to invite friends to play. She also wants to replay the entire story as each different house.

This good is good with PS3 Move required. It contains spells and stories and kids could use controllers to learn spells and use them. The graph is great. But the story line is short. Once the stories are done, kids have no interests to play it again.

This game is good for kids or Harry Potter fans. It can get to be very repetitive and boring if it is played for too long. Overall the game can be completed in about 5 hours. It can be difficult to position the camera correctly.

My kids age 6 and 11 really enjoy this game. They like to memorize the spell words and movements and like to use the later to help solve the problems.

I bought this for my four year old son. He got bored in a fast way. I am not a potter fan, I have never read or watched and potter stuff. I can't complain though because it is pretty cool, and I got if for a great price. I can't say it is bad either, I just don't understand the Harry Potter background story.

Okay Move game for children and Potter fans

Very simple and easy game for children, although the game sometimes fails to guide the player on what to do next. This can briefly halt a player's progress, hence enjoyment, until a resolution is reached. Attached to the Harry Potter lore, but fans will be disappointed if they're expecting to see any of their favorite characters from the book/movie. Literally none exist. You're your own student accepted into Hogwartz learning familiar spells to achieve simple tasks and goals. Wonderbook may not work properly if the players' entertainment setup doesn't meet qualifications. I, personally, held it in my lap as I played. This may not be a game that can be properly played without adult supervision as children may not be able to troubleshoot the issues that may emerge.

This is a decent idea and fun for anyone who owns the Playstation Move, but, like Kinect and the Wii, it doesn't always work like it's supposed to. Another problem is its reliance on the Move camera to show images of you, which can look pretty nasty and grainy.

got this on sale at Best Buy. I feel I got my money's worth because I got it so cheap. Harry Potter fans would probably enjoy this a lot. My family enjoyed it briefly but lost interest. My son is 8 and we are HP fans but not diehard fans.
