I’ve been wanting one of these electric cutting scissors, especially to open packages/boxes. Finally ordered it because it was on sale. It comes with a cord to charge it. I tested it on some cardboard boxes and it was a dream. Also my kids will be using it when doing art projects. It has a protective piece on it so you can’t get cut!

I like having this to open blister packs. It is safer than a knife and easier than scissors . It is useful for cutting cardboard.

been using it for cutting boxes, doing pretty well so far. Make it way easy to cut boxes for recycle or re-sizing boxes. Worth every penny spent. I also bought this to cut fabrics, haven't had chance to try it

When I first saw this product advertised on the Best Buy site, I couldn't help but remember the children's scissors which plugged in, had very dull round blades and vibrated to cut paper. I believe they were called "snippy" something. Obviously, these are not dull and not rounded, but are designed to give the user a safe method cutting many different materials (in my case - cardboard boxes) without having to pull out a sharp knife and having possible injury and at the least, dulling my knife. I find the 4V ZipSnip work just as predicted and cut through tough cardboard like butter. There is no slippage on the cardboard, I believe, because the knife is not round, but increments of flat edges. The unit seems to hold a great charge for a lengthy period of time without a reduction in power. I have cut up many boxes or varying thickness and am very happy with my purchase!

Exactly what I needed to break down boxes ! Easy to use and has a safety guard!

I originally got these as my wife has gotten into gardening and has been cutting by hand, so the hope was that she could save some strength with this. It turns out that it does help, with little plants but not big ones. We have also used it to cut some paper and cardboard, which is works well on too. Getting these working is pretty simple, just charge them and you’re ready to go. While I overall think this is a good too, there are some flaws. Two things that are my own pet peeves, First, this come with a plug that isn’t standard. It would be much nicer if these could charge with a USB-C cable, as I tend to lose these one off cables. Second there is way too much packaging in the box, and its not even to make the open experience look nice. The other issue I had was that you need to have a flat surface all around to use these. Regular scissors you’re able to cut even if around what you are cutting is uneven. For example I tried to cut between two bags or frozen chicken, and since the part to cut was between two raised areas, I had to pull out regular scissors. So unfortunately, it means that these cannot be used in every situation. Overall I think these are nice in certain use cases, but unless you’re cutting a lot of flat surfaces or smaller twigs in your garden, these may not be worth it.

Excellent little powerful cutting tool. It helps protect my hands while cutting boxes into smaller recyclable sections.

In an era of home shopping, I receive packages weekly if not every several days. These packages consist of boxes within boxes leading to large amounts of cardboard filling the space of the garbage can. I honestly bought this product (like the other Worx brand products) because it was half off the original price. Worx products are those things you don't necessarily need..but it's good to have. I love this product because it makes cutting down boxes super easy! I've used regular scissors, heavy duty scissors, box cutters, and every other tool I have to make breaking down boxes easier but this product does it the best. I solely use this to break down boxes and it is 100% worth it.

This works great on cutting boxes. I get a lot of online deliveries like Amazon and my recycle container fills up fast if I don’t break down boxes. Since my city only picks up recycling every two weeks this has come in handy. Full charge will take care of 15 medium to large boxes easily before needing a quick recharge.

I've had this for a while now. Yes, it takes a while to fully charge. I'm not sure how long the charge last because I haven't had to charge it since. I know it's months. It has cut everything I tried to cut, mostly items shipped in plastic bubble bags. I did use it on some boxes to see how well it would cut them(cut the boxes effortlessly). My main reason for purchasing this was because I'm old and a south paw. Scissors aren't generally made for folks like myself.

The whole experience is good and easy for this deive. It makes short work of cardboard almost too easily. The problem is it snagging a bunch on single strip thick cardboard, it does that a lot. That really is my only slight complaint for it, this is still worlds better than using a knofe or scissors, or even a box cutter. The box cutter would be faster but im prone to cutting something on the other side of the card board so this is a much safer alternative that works amazingly well.

I’ve been looking at these for ages and am so glad I finally got them. They worked well for a whole bunch of cardboard boxes at different thicknesses. I did have some heavy duty boxes I wasn’t sure they would work on, but with just a little extra effort, they cut through just fine. So far I’m very happy with this purchase

I like this Worx cutter. It has replaced my scissors for most things & my arthritic hands are thankful. I’ve used it a lot on the first charge, still running strong, It’s a lithium battery(should have good charging for a long time) & Worx brand has a great reputation. Makes cutting fun & found it will even cut cardboard, carpet & plastic bottles. My cuts are far more straight- can see how this will work great for wrapping paper cutting. I believe I paid $25, shipped.

I have used this tool, going onto 2 years, and love it. I have a small business and receive many boxes with supplies and many of those boxes are thick. Sometimes I just can’t a good grip to rip them for recycling for reasons of the box being slippery and/or arthritis reasons. I can zip through the boxes with ease with this handy tool and the charge lasts a long time. I’ve charged it at least once a year.

I thought I would get this for my neighbor with arthritis. I saw how easy, and fast, it was to cut boxes that I just had to get it for my household. TV boxes are probably the max it can handle, being slow and tedious but still took half the effot and time than it was before charging this up for use. As for normal everyday boxes it is so fast that it is faster than tearing it up in your own hands. The safety button is minimal difficuly for artritic neighbor.
