It is great for my weak hands to use this instead of normal scissors. However there is some degree of difficulty to using this because the side safety button must be depressed in order to depress the trigger. I may not have the dexterity to do that for much longer. I barely can now. I wish the safety was on the back so my thumb could actuate it more easily. For me it is often easier to curl my forefinger to the safety than to try to use my thumb on it. Its a sort of cross bolt safety which is less expensive to manufacture so I get why they went that route but wish they went for something more ergonomic. The only other con is that the cutter guide protrudes a bit too far past the blade. Maybe for safety and legal reasons but you could still cut yourself so I'm not sure why that guide is too far out. When you come to the wall of a box for instance you must rock the cutter handle up and towards the wall so the disk can plunge into the wall and then bring the handle down and then continue your cut back up the wall. It's very tricky to sweep up a corner. Especially if the box isn't very flexible. But this does cut very well and you can get through some stiffer cardboard and still make good lines. It can decimate pizza boxes so quickly compared to scissors. Might take some practice. Cuts well and I would recommend it to people like myself who lack the grip strength normal scissors require but still have some dexterity in their joints. If you have really stiff finger joints then the two part trigger system may not work for you.

My only regret with this purchase is not finding this item sooner! It makes the dreaded task of breaking down boxes so easy and actually kind of fun! We get A LOT of packages, so this is great. I think it's worth every penny, even at full price, but if you see it for around $20 like it was when I got it, just add it to your cart and don't even think twice about it.

Cuts the same as a utility knife, but really shines when cutting a large amount of cardboard. I also used it to cut landscaping edging which is hard plastic, which neither scissors or a sharp knife couldn't get through. Overall nice to have and helpful in one off situations a knife or scissor isn't strong enough.

Before purchasing, I read the reviews on this electric scissor. This is a must have for all those who recycle and want to make their carboard area a lot more tidy. Some are saying it has no power or does not cut so so, it's suppose to act as an easier way to cut what scissor would normally. It's not an electric saw made for wood or heavy material. It's excellent for plastic packaging and cardboard. You wont regret it.

Charges pretty quickly and seems to last a while. Cuts through boxes like wrapping paper. Can even get two layers of cardboard at once (depending on thickness. Been succesful cutting through two layers of standard postal delivery boxes)

This thing is awesome, I wish I would have bought one sooner. Instead of fighting with huge cardboard boxes from Amazon to attempt to bend or cut them with scissors to stuff them in my recycling container I now just use this to cut the boxes up into small, manageable pieces.

Cuts cardboard like butter. Cuts giftwrapping paper so easily. Battery life was never an issue.

Works as it should! Holds a charge well. A little tough on thicker boxes, but it will cut them.

I like using it to cut open those annoying plastic packages that scissors don't cut very well. It cuts cardboard ok...sometimes sticks. I guess i need to get use to using it.

This thing is amazing. I didn't know how much I've needed this until I bought it. Nothing wrong with using scissors but this does the work for you. Doesn't matter whether you are cutting cardboard, cloth, plastic, etc.. this thing gets the job done. I would definitely recommend.
