I have used manual edgers before so didn't want to deal with that for how overgrown the grass was on the sidewalk. In the end, this was far worse than a manual edger. At least with the old manual one I had, I could simply use my weight like a shovel to edge. This thing needed to be forced into grass or it did not move at all. It just sat there. I read the manual in advance and didn't see anything unusual so was expecting an easy go at the edging, not a fight all the way. After doing about 50% of the edging I gave up because it not only did a poor job, it rarely let me go straight with the guide because of the thick roots. It seems only useful for when the lawn has been edged recent enough you can go over it again. But why use this when using a trimmer and simply trimming the edge works better. This is simply a useless item for me.

Blade is not sharp enough to provide clean cut. Wasted $100. Have to take a loss abd yard sale it for cheap. This is NOT an edging tool. Just a toy.

I like the stability of the 2-wheel rear axle; Some have only 1 wheel that I saw while shopping. Full power even at the end of 150 feet of 16-guage extension cord. Highly recommend!
