I did a fair bit of research on the doorbell cameras and ultimately purchased this one (a relatively new release by Wyze) largely because it can (and does) connect to your standard doorbell wiring, and it connects to 5G WiFi (most are limited to 2.4G band which is slower) and the online service which stores videos in the cloud is available for only $19.99 per year for just the doorbell camera. I note that others have complained that Wyze’s pricing for the cloud service can get expensive if you have more cameras but I only use the remote service for the doorbell cam so it’s pretty cheap. I would note the following for prospective buyers. First, if you connect this item to your doorbell wiring (easy if you have doorbell wiring) you can completely forget about ever having to charge the battery. Yay. This was important to me. Second, while I have had difficulty getting quick response time from other (non-doorbell) security cameras connected via 2.4G WiFi, this doorbell is in comparison lightning fast (probably because of the 5G connection). I was and remain very pleased with how quick I see the live-stream video when I bring up live-viewing mode. Third, I’ve heard a lot of complaints regarding other doorbell cameras that the camera is so slow to come on line when it detects motion that the person is already gone before the video starts. I don’t know how Wyze does this but in my experience every video it has recorded starts a couple seconds before the person/truck/whatever comes into view! I have to say this is GREAT! One caveat is that I have not yet had the opportunity to use my phone as an intercom to the doorbell when someone rings it. So I cannot comment on that how well that works. One other point that was mildly disappointing to me is that it doesn’t appear possible to connect this doorbell to the existing house doorbell chime. You have to use the plug-in chime that Wyze provides. Oh well, the provided chime is OK and this is not really that a big deal to me. I only gave 3 stars for sound quality because I don't have enough experience with using the audio to know if it's any good. Overall I’m very happy I purchased this doorbell camera.

We had a ring doorbell before well actually, I think it was a blink. It certainly stopped working so we had to get a new doorbell immediately. This one was on sale for I think $89. I read some good reviews about it and we purchased it. We connected it to the power cable so it’s not on battery which means that it’s records video. We don’t pay for the subscription so it records 12 seconds which is enough for me. The doorbell chime is loud. You plug the chime anywhere in the house in an outlet. the app is really easy to use. The video it takes is clear.

The Wyse wireless Video doorbell camera pro has worked great. We got this for Christmas and it was July before we had to bring it in and charge it. Very clear and does well to not pick up little stuff like leaves and stuff like that.

The camera and doorbell itself are nice. Love that you can put an SD card and avoid subscription fees. The annoying thing is that we can’t get it to activate a chime sound indoors. We’ve tried everything - new chime, voltage change, and all the troubleshooting. It won’t make a sound or activate the mechanical chime. So we have to watch our phones to know if someone’s ringing the doorbell.

The doorbell is great and the video quality is great. However, unlocking the door is a terrible experience. I usually have to make my guests wait at the door for a whole minute or two in the rain or the cold while the app tries to unlock the Wyze Deadbolt lock. I am not sure whether there are any other good apps either for this.

It's a very clear camera, the night time vision is very good. I'm happy with it.

This was a very good deal. The doorbell pro was easy to set up and program to my specifications from monitoring. I am well satisfied with this product compared to the old surveillance system that is stored on the shelf collecting dust. People have inquired about it and I recommend it highly.

Doorbell works as it should. Nice to be able to configure what sound you want to use. Any time the doorbell is pressed it does capture the event that you can review. Even without purchasing the subscription. However, I have the device configured to capture motion events as well. When detecting motion, it does light up and looks to be recording. However, it does not record and there is no history. Maybe have to buy the subscription in order to view the event? If so, I could not find that stated anywhere. Sent support an email and heard nothing.

This doorbell is super clear and alerts me as soo as it spots something. I am very happy with my purchase and a comfortable knowing I have a good system to rely on!

Amazing picture and the battery lasts a long time.

Im a 66 year old female who worried there would be something about installing this doorbell that would be a problem. There were no problems. I followed the directions on the website and it was simply easy. Total time maybe 30 minutes. Connected immediately and works great.

Great quality and durable battery life span. No issues installing or removing from where I had it posted.
