Customers express satisfaction with the camera's quality, night vision capabilities, and ease of use. Many also found the setup process straightforward and appreciated features like the optional expandable storage and motion detection. However, some users noted that battery life could be improved. The weather resistance and wide field of view were also frequently praised.

The Wyze outdoor v2 cameras are a great set of cameras and particularly this 3 camera bundle is a great deal. I was seriously impressed with the quality and finish of these devices given their price point compared to the competition, they are well built, durable, and easy to use and setup. With motion detection and customizable zones you are able to monitor what you want and have notifications sent to your phone when an event is triggered. Night vision is good for my area, it also has the option to have it off, on, or on auto so it should be customizable to work depending on your lighting situation. You are also able to use the app to flip your image 180 depending on your installation, (on the ceiling is one instance), as well as other useful features included and adjustable within the app. The cameras and base station feature an SD card slot allowing you to save continuous clips onto the SD card of either each individual camera or on the base station for later review which is a great feature in my opinion.
The biggest issue I have with this camera set is the subscription and how it is basically REQUIRED to make these cameras useful in almost any situation. The motion detection of the cameras is great, and with great live feed image quality it shouldn't be any issue detecting and recording an event that happens on your camera, but if you're not willing, or able, to pay for the additional subscription you will only receive an event notification with a still image of the event. Regardless of whether you use the SD cards in the camera or the base station, without the subscription the cameras will only send you a picture of the event rather than a recording of that event, you would then have to go to the live feed and manually start recording if you still wanted to record whatever was happening. At $2.00 per month, per camera ($1.25 currently on the annual plan) this basic feature would cost upwards of $6.00 a month just for this 3 camera bundle and that just doesn't seem right to me. I could understand putting online storage and smart detection behind a subscription and that's fine, but basic motion detection with clips being saved locally on the SD card should be a part of the basic functionality of these devices.
If you only want a camera that can be used outdoors or indoors, and aren't worried about having video clips saved except for manually recording them, then I would highly recommend this. The cameras are great, and they are a bargain compared to the competition, they look good indoors or out, and the picture quality is great. But, if you need a security camera, which these are advertised as, I would look elsewhere unless you are willing to pay for the subscription and hope they don't lock any other functionality behind that subscription.

They are good cameras for the price. Only thing I didn’t like about him was the fact that I couldn’t shut off the motion detection, so I just kept going off and off on my phone.

Wonderful Wireless Camera Security System

The Wyze - Cam Outdoor v2 3-Camera Wire Free 1080p Surveillance security system is a cut above. Solid-resilient design. High quality material and structure. Made for the outdoors, able to withstand heavy rain, high winds and even cold temperatures. There is no compromise on quality on this system. Every detail seems to be meticulously engineered to provide a rock solid and scalable wireless camera solution.
The setup is really straight forward. Place the cameras in the desired locations around your home/office/building, making sure they are within range of the wireless signal and adjust the angle to ensure you are capturing the intended area. Everything is managed by the app which is really intuitive. The cameras have a really nice viewing angle (FOV) along with fully adjustable mounts, making it really easy to get the ideal coverage of your home.
The camera system is packed with pretty powerful features such as motion detection, two-way audio system, optional expandable storage, cloud service integration, advanced aperture, night vision and dark environment enhanced vision allowing you to see darker areas in vivid detail.
The video from the camera is clear and vibrant. The frame rate is adequate for viewing the events in real time. I suspect the reason for the lower fps is to accommodate wireless transmission and bandwidth so that the network is not saturated with HD video frames and trying to compete with other traffic on your wireless network. It works! Makes sense to me. The lower frame creates a more stable and consistent experience with the Wyze wireless camera system.
I love the two-way audio feature, allowing you to communicate with delivery personnel, visitors or unexpected guests. The battery life is pretty good, however it does vary depending on the features enabled on the camera.
The Wyze - Cam Outdoor v2 3-Camera Wire Free 1080p Surveillance security system is outstanding for multiple scenarios. There are options for expanding the system, adding solar power panels and more.
I highly recommend the Wyze - Cam Outdoor v2 3-Camera Wire Free 1080p Surveillance system.

This set comes with three cameras, the base station with power adaptor, micro-USB charging cord (with adapter for plugging into the wall), Ethernet cord, quick start guide and screws for mounting the cameras. Set up is not difficult. Download the Wyze app to your phone or other smart device (such as a tablet) and follow the directions on the app.
The cameras are weather resistant and work in all kinds of weather conditions which are great for an outdoor camera. You can put them up pretty much anywhere within Wi-Fi range. The batteries in the cameras are said to be good for up to six months. If you find that you need to put your camera in a spot that is hard to get to, you can get a solar panel that is compatible with these cameras.
I really like that the camera is in color for nighttime. The picture is very clear with just a little bit of ambient light needed. The cameras also have 2-way audio. I like that I can get an alert of someone on the property and then talk to them or tell them to get away from my house.
The magnetic mounts that come with these cameras are simple to put up. Make sure you have a flat surface, screw them in and the camera will easily hold its place with the magnet. I don’t worry about anyone stealing the cameras. I put them up high enough so that someone would have to jump a little to get to them and it is a very strong magnet, so no worries.
If you want to continuously record video while you are away, you can install a micro SD card into the camera. Once the SD card is full, it will overwrite the oldest files. If no micro SD card is installed, you will only get snapshots of activity and can only see a live view with the camera.
There is a subscription service called Wyze Cam Plus which is $14.99 per camera/per year (if you choose to pay monthly it costs more per camera). You do get a free 2 week subscription with sign up. This subscription allows recordings to be stored in the Cloud, allows motion trigger recording and stores these events up to 14 days on the Cloud, among other features. This is an added expense, but considering the price of the cameras, etc. it may be cheaper than the price of higher priced cameras that include everything. However, you should note that a lot of those more expensive security cameras are starting to go this way with more expensive subscriptions. I had more expensive security cameras that I now consider useless, because of the high price of the cameras and subscriptions they added on to use them the way they were originally meant for.
The Wyze app also works with Alexa and Google Assistant. I put one of my cameras above the door (out of immediate reach outside). I just ask Alexa or Google to “show me the front door” and I have a view of it.
The cameras and base station are much smaller than other brand named ones I have seen. I like that they leave a smaller footprint because it makes them harder to spot outdoors and the base station takes up less space on the counter. I think the price of these cameras is great for the quality and what you get with it. These are great for beginners that are not sure of exactly what they want out of a security camera. The cameras seem of very good quality pictures and video.

They are constantly going off for no reason and don’t catch anything when you need them to. You have to pay for a monthly for EACH camera service just to get it to identify if there is a human. It will record 5 minutes of a branch barely moving, but 5 second of needed footage. The camera controls don’t work properly and you get a notification every time the wind blows.

I have had wyze cams since 2019. I love wyze cams. I hate this product. I have 2 setup outside with wyze solar panels and 1 setup in my bedroom next to the signal hub. The 2 outside are useless. Great video quality when it works, but 99% of the time it doesn't work for me. These are probably just out of the 300ft range, but still, when one is working and the other isn't...doesn't make sense. The one in my bedroom next to the signal hub, also loses signal...and it's like inches away. I'm at the point where all 3 are telling me they are offline...even the one plugged in a few inches from the signal hub. Don't buy this particular product from Wyze. I have 3 pan cams, 3 v3 or v2 can't remember outdoor/indoor cams....they all work amazingly well. I love catching my kids sneaking snacks and doing hoodrat things. I love watching the storms outside and looking at the skies. All the products I have allow me this pleasure. But not this one. Don't buy this product.

Since I already own a Wyze Lock, and have been quite happy with it, I was interested in adding this 3-Camera Starter Bundle to my home security system, to suppliment the monitoring devices that I already have.
Setup was seamless. So easy! And didn't take much time at all. You simply download the Wyze app (which I already had for use with the aforementioned door lock), and follow the step-by-step prompts, which guide you through the process. I'd suggest just going ahead and doing the firmware updates when they pop up, so everything is up-to-date and ready to go. Again, this doesn't take long.
You can choose to mount the cameras to a wall, ceiling, roof, etc. or just set up using the attached stand. The stand is affixed via a magnet to the base and can be removed, and underneath there is a place to screw in a tripod mount. This detachable stand allows you to easily removed the camera for recharging; with battery life estimated at up to 6 months. All-in-all, these Wyze cams are well-made, and pretty versitile.
The Wyze app is simple to navigate. The main 'page' or dashboard, if you will, has all your Wyze connected devices there to check at a glance.
With the Wyze app you can:
Manage your Wyze account
Set notification alerts
Set 'rules' and schedules for each Wyze device
Customize "smart detection" settings - choose person, vehicle, package, pet
Listen to 'real-time' audio, speak to people, take a photo, record video, activate an "emergency" siren
Check album of recorded videos of past events
Shop for additional Wyze devices
You can even connect to and chat with the "Wyze Community" via a wide variety of social media platforms.
Beyond the basic 'free' features this starter bundle has to offer right out of the box, you can also pay for a subscription to Wyze's home monitoring services.
The Base Station, along with each Wzye Camera, has a slot for a micro-SD card which can be used for additional 'local' storage (SD card not included).
As with that other 'well-known' brand of home security cameras I have, these Wyze Outdoor Cams are able to be used with their brand's own Wyze Solar Panels (panels not included).
These Wyze security cams are meant for outdoor use, they are small, compact, and discreet enough to use inside your house, as well. Such as in a child's room, to monitor pets while you're away, or in a specific "area of concern" around your home.
Now, as fas as how well these Wyze Outdoor Wireless Cameras performed ... Well, the 1080p full HD live streaming was clear enough, and less pixelated than the video quality I'm used to from the other brand of cameras I also use to monitor for home security. The 130-degree field of view was adequate. Color Night Vision Mode was on par with those other cameras with regards to video quality. Though sound and voice clarity was not that great; about what I've experienced with my other security cameras. In my opinion, this is most definitely an area these types of cameras need to improve upon.
So far, I'm well pleased with this Wyze Outdoor Wireless 3-Camera Home Security Starter Bundle and can certainly recommend it as one to consider when comparing other basic personal home security systems.

A feew things about the wyze camera
It uses the base station to communicate with the cameras to which you can add more.
You can add micro sd cards for local storage and playback to each camera and the base station which is really cool.
If you dont have the micro sd card it will ask if you want to sign up for cloud storage. Cheaper to get Micro sd card and use that instead.
The whole camera systems are weather proof.
They come with hardware to install outside on most surfaces of your home. The base of the camera does articulate for custom directions of camera angles. The base also has a very strong magnet to hold the camera to the base. Took me some good pulling force to unseat it. Now with that being said. I took mine down before the storm so i would not have to test how good they hold up ir the base gets ripped away. But build quality and ease of setting up was very simple.
Unlike hard mounted cameras these dont require running wiring and cuts cost on installation.
I would say the average diy installer can do this in a few hours 2 hours or less.
All you need is the following
1. A plan on the places you want to install the camera's.
2. Make sure the base station is central to all the cameras. But also good signal to your wifi router.
3. Basic tools to install the base in a secure location.
4. Download the app and set each camera up one at a time. Trust me it works faster this way.
5. test your location area to ensure each camera still communicates with the base station.
6. Set your away and home camera modes.
Basically turn cameras on or off when your away and home and don't need them recording.
Hope this helps everyone installing the wyze camera system easier and problem free.

I've had these cameras for a few weeks and they are good cameras but having to pay for the extras is annoying.
The setup is relatively easy and straightforward. They are easy to unpack and activate after you download the app to your phone. I don't believe it makes a difference but I did find it interesting that the 3 cameras all had very different levels of charge on the battery (10%, 50%, 80%). Definitely count on charging all of the cameras before use. All the cameras did have the same firmware.
The picture quality is good and the color night vision makes it look like daytime. The motion sensing works well and the AI picks a good still picture to show you what triggered the motion. I don't like that you have to subscribe to a plan to get video recordings of motion. I've never seen a system that you have to pay extra for that, but I believe these are slightly cheaper than other systems so it might be a tradeoff that some people will be ok with. You can pull up live video whenever you want, which if you see the notification immediately you can pull up the live stream but if you don't get that you'll just get the picture.
The mounting on these is not the easiest but works fine. The included mount is great for setting on a shelf or flat surface. It gives great adjustability. Mounting it is a little harder, but can work fine. There is also a threaded screw hole in the bottom for other mounts.
Overall the camera is good and the app seems to work well. The subscription is a pain for getting video clips but overall if the system is what you're looking for and you're fine with the monthly cost to get some extras this will make a good camera system.

I acquired this set specifically to expand my Wyze stem to outdoors. I already have many positioned inside, but they rely on constant plug-in power, so when I found this solution, I gave it a shot. Glad I did.
As with other Wyze devices, set-up was simple. Slightly more complex than a v3 cam, but still up and running in no time and integrates nicely into my existing set-up and my smart home system. I appreciate ease and keeping products within the same family. The less the obtrusive apps, the better, and I have come to appreciate the Wyze app and their product line.
So, the picture. Clear and sharp. I have the unit set-up in my carport a few hundred feet away, and feed is still consistent. The base is hardwired to your router/switch, but I commend them for the signal it can put out and the range I can get from each camera. Also, a short blurb on night vision, it's fantastic. Luckily my cameras are in highly lit areas, I'll be ready should that not be the case.
alerts
If you haven't used the software, it extremely robust in detection. Sometimes, more than needed. I consistently have to adjust the sensitivity on detection as on the highest setting, I can get alerts for a squirrels every move. Great if you're super sensitive to all movement. For myself, I just need the big stuff. The recording and playback are top notch. You'll be able to see and replay all you need with the option of onboard SD storage if you decide to expand. I personally also have the membership which I feel is worth every penny for the extra features it provides.
Here's my only issue, and for me, it's notable and would dock by half star if possible. The mounting. Great screw hardware. Everything you need to mount on any surface. The issue is the connection to the camera. It's held by a extremely strong magnet. I have no worries that it will fall off or be blown away, but using in my carport for security, someone could easily walk up and snatch it right off the mount. I understand why this choice was made, with the rechargeable battery/sd card access, but it's slightly unnerving. and once it's gone, there isn't really any tracking to relocate it. I am trying to figure a suitable option to address this, and I'm sure I'll figure something. This has zero to do with the excellence of performance, but just a overall aspect.
Besides that, the batteries seem great so far, and performance exceeds my expectations.
