This camera is incredible for the price, I spent hours looking into the perfect pet camera for my cats as I was going out of town and wanted to ensure they were being fed and drinking water. This is the one, the night vision is perfect, the quality is better than I expected, and it’s got a slot for a microsd. Will definitely buy another for other spots in my house!

WyzeCam V3 is an Excellent Budget Outdoor Camera

I bought a couple of the WyzeCam V2s with 3rd party external boxes and mounted them underneath the soffit around my house. With a halfway decemt 32GB MicroSD card, they record 24/7 and the app for the phones work pretty well. When the V3 came out and included waterproofing and dramatically improved the image quality and added nighttime color, I bought one to test it out. I was very happy that they kept using MicroUSB, so I could use the third party 20ft power cables I already ran. The night time brightness is outstanding. The video framerate also increased to about 20fps instead of ~15. They're really pushing subscriptions with these, but it's not entirely necessary since you have local storage via a MicroSD card slot. You will need to buy one with this - I'd suggest the 32GB PNYs as they're the best value most of the time. They don't currently have access via a web browser, but that is apparently in the works as well. You can run BlueStacks Android Emulator If you absolutely have to see the video on your computer. It only takes 5 minutes to set that up.

Wyze cameras have never let me down. Great quality visuals and I am very impressed with the night vision. For my tastes this is the best camera for the money. It beats them all.

Great Camera! Easy to set up! I bought 2 of these to use in an office setting to cover some blind spots we needed to keep an eye one. Super easy to set up both cameras. Ap easy to use. Need to figure out if I can use it on the PC. Picture is very clear.

I was in the process of wanting to buy security cameras for my residence because things are getting really bad with burglaries several miles away from me. I also had a traspaser come into my driveway at 01:47 am blowing the horn and I just happened to be up and know who this person is. I searched around and i found Best buy is the best place to buy these kind of items. I searched and found the good responses from customers who purchased this one over others. I go by reviews when I want to purchase things. Let me tell you a very good camera and it takes awesome pictures. It was a little tricky to set up but a guy who is 58 got it done and so happy. It's only been one day but we will see how it responds. I hope i don't have a intruder and have to take out my gun but this thing will record sound besides the picture and has a siren thats pretty loud. I will be buying two more again soon so my property will be covered well. Can't find anything negative to say yet.

This tiny camera has outstanding video quality, even in the dark. For video, it is fantastic especially for the low price. But the audio quality is extremely poor. There is a lot of static. I bought this camera to hear if my dog was whining, but unless he’s really loud, I can’t tell over the static. The app is easy to use.

A Best Buy staff helped me change my mind from making a mistake and purchasing the popular brands out there. These little cameras are 1/3 of the price with just as much picture as the name brands. The monitoring is cheaper if you don’t want to use the sd card option. I’ve got 8 cameras cuz of the price and quality!

For ~$40 and a small recurring charge for cloud features this camara is great. Video quality is good and maybe even better than my Ring cameras. Night view, with minimal light, is impressive. Mobile App is well laid out and responsive as long as the camera has a solid WIFI connection. Works well indoors or outdoors.

I own 3 of these now and am contemplating a 4th. Easy to set up and their app works just fine. I've never had any problems and the price is excellent. Do a search of their night-vision and you'll never go back to the grey and green night vision in other cams. Love it!

I think the title "security camera" is really short selling this little gem. It can be unplugged and moved anywhere within Wi-Fi range, yes anywhere. Wanna know what the kids are doing? move it there and plug it in, nannycam check, baby monitor check, endless uses. Sound and motion sensitivity are adjustable along with specifying an area. No cloud necessary, no contract. Download the app and it walks you through a simple setup. You do need a micro SDHC card but they are cheap, and of course a Wi-Fi network. Video quality to me is excellent, better than what I got on an EZ Viz that cost over $150. This is just one of those things you should have, and oh yeah, it's a security camera. What is that cat/dog doing while I'm not there......

Low price alternative. Starlight sensor is great for night vision. Makes things clear at night. Use it with a 128GB sd card with no issues. Small and compact. Have it on continuous recording so don't pay for the cam plus subscription. Down side is notifications. But satisfies what I need it for.

Good camera for outdoor security. Easy to setup, hardest part is running power to it. Haven't had an issue with them yet. No dropouts, clear picture night and day, does what it needs to do for cheap. Pay no subscription or pay a small one for full service.

Got this to use as a pet cam for when I have to leave the house briefly. Works perfectly, recognizes people and animals, and the CamPlus service is absolutely worth the money! If I didn’t already have another setup, I’d probably buy more of these for all around the house.

This is a cool little camera. Connected via Wifi on first try and has worked ever since. Make sure to put a SD card in it for continuous recording, otherwise you might miss something since the motion recordings tend to be short. Great little low-cost device for keeping an eye on things.

Overall it works for what I needed it for. Keeping on an eye on my dogs and make sure they are not barking. Crystal clear and good sound. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it freezes and reloads too often. But overall was worth the price.

Substantial upgrade from v2

This is a winning upgrade to the Wyze v2 camera. I actually benchmarked the v2, v3, Ring stickup, and Arlo Pro 4 cameras with both outdoor and indoor comparisons. While widely praised in the media and a consistent top pick, the Arlo Pro 4 was a dead last.
The Wyze v3 and Ring stickup cameras are fairly comparable, although I think the v3 is probably a little better camera. The mounting hardware for the Ring is more complete in that you have both indoor and outdoor hardware included. Having said that, the price difference is substantial enough that you can buy outdoor mounting hardware for your Wyze camera and still be money ahead.
