I purchased the v3 to monitor outside patio area of back yard for animal activity, the picture quality is very good even in no light situations, records movement and stores in cloud for small monthly fee for playback or continuous live feed, easy to set up and connect to home router, no batteries needed. Some things I don't like are unstable internet connection requiring physically turning camera off and back on to reconnect, picks up any slight movement including light changes and records an event even with available settings on the app, can not distinguish objects as advertised in app setting. I do recommend this camera for the extremely low price and picture quality.

Not bad. The video is crisp. The setup was easy. It did take a while to download and install firmware updates. I do wish the base had more heft to it. The app is not the worst. RTSP support is a huge plus.

My Nest Cams are now collecting dust. These cameras are so much better than any other that I’ve tried and I can’t get over the price to boot you literally cannot do better than this $35 camera!

Awesome value and most features than I thought this would have had. This item has a really good resolution, and the color night sight works well too! It may not see great is all night conditions, espcially when there is a light source in direct view, but you will be able to see a dim, evenly lit area pretty well at night. The software works pretty well also! Don't forget to buy an SD card for local recording! Fantastic deal!

This new version is much better and has lot of improvement in term of picture quality at night. Only set back is the cool time and the length of video if you don't want the subscription.

It has really good pictures for the price. Only down side is you need power. I have the outdoor too that has the built in battery. So between using them both it works really well.

Very easy to use. I had the V3, upgrading. The quality is much better. I love the night views, much clearer than previous version. Wait until there is a deal, but it's a good price when not on sale.

Can't think how it could have been easier to setup

Setup was as easy as I can envision. Not to say it just magically set itself up. There were steps. But Wyze did everything they could to make those necessary steps as simple as possible. Loved the part where the phone app displays a QRCode to show the camera in order to give the camera the necessary connection details. For me, nothing went wrong between unboxing the camera and seeing the picture on the Wyze app on my phone. Follow the steps in the quickstart guide in the box. Otherwise you probably won't expect some of the user-friendly things Wyze does to help you. I was expecting only cryptic LED blinking patterns. Turns out the camera actually talks to indicate its status during setup. Read the Q&A on the Best Buy site before purchasing. I was never able to clearly understand whether I could review video from the last 24+ hours using the phone app if I only used an SDCard in the camera and not the Wyze cloud services. Turns out it works fine. If you don't want to pay for Wyze cloud services and only care about "live" view, then you don't need anything except the camera and your phone with the app. If you want to be able to see the last 24+ hours (supposedly up to around 48+ hours), then buy a 32GB micro SDCard for the camera. They're cheap. You can remotely view the rolling video recorded on the SDCard from the app on the phone just fine. If your goal is security (video recording an intruder), then you're only concern is the intruder stealing the camera with the SDCard in it. My goal was just to monitor our pet, and I'm hoping our pet doesn't figure out how to hack the recorded video to cover her paw tracks. The various "detection" features definitely work. The concern I see is they work even when at times when maybe you aren't going to care. If it only results in clips being recorded, then it's a minor concern about a clutter of clips. If you've enabled the "notify me" feature, it can result in a lot of notifications like letting you know a person was detected by the camera when you yourself is that person. I see all those notifications of events one isn't going to care about becoming bothersome. There is some "friendly people" feature in the app, but I haven't explored it. Perhaps it excludes notifications of "friendly people". Wyze might want to explore some kind of feature in the app which makes it really fast to turn off/on notifications. Perhaps even "Turn on/off for X hours". Maybe also daily time periods when the notifications are automatically turned on and off. The B&W night vision with the IR lighting definitely works. Other users' pictures of the color night vision are impressive. After a little minimal playing around one evening I wasn't able to duplicate the color night vision success others are apparently seeing. My focus is on indoors but with seemingly plenty of outside light coming in the windows. Most of the other pictures are from outdoors. Perhaps I don't have things right yet.
