Wanted good cameras that don't need a subscription. these still work well after the free trial ended. I can still use the motion capture, but it records to the SD card, so it does take a little more to view the recording, but it fits my needs. I can also view video using Python, which is a lot of fun to play with. The phone app is very good and easy to use.

I was surprised by the value of this 2-pack cam set. Paid $35 for both and installation was a breeze. They are of great quality and have a very clear image. Night vision blew me away! Best I've seen thus far for a camera in this price range. I replaced my blink cameras with these Wyze cameras and couldn't be happier. The bonus here is that it has an SD Card slot which records footage without the need for a monthly subcription! I would definitely buy more when on sale again.

All the features of much more expensive cameras and more!
Set up is so easy on these. The application makes it easy setup. Plug the camera into an outlet, press the setup button on the camera and then hold up your phone with a QR code for the camera to read and your up and running. Note, I did have to take one if the camera’s out of the sun so It could read the QR on my cell phone screen. It was in direct sun, so it didn’t surprise me.
installing the camera was a breeze, you can either use a big washer style peace and screw it or stick it to your wall then the camera will connect via the magnetic mount, or you can screw your camera to the wall as well.
The picture quality is quite impressive for 1080P. I have 4K camera’s that have a slight edge, but I will say Wyze has showed me the best 1080p quality to date. And quite frankly, 1080p is plenty for my needs. I will post a comparison picture. The only thing I noticed is the white area’s get a little blown out at times. It would be nice to have the ability to tweak the contrast/brightness. Maybe a future software update Wyze?
The nighttime shots are amazing, they really show great color with very little ambient light.
The Wyze software is feature packed and intuitive. Here is a list found under the Setting tab in each camera:
Detection Setting:
Here you can select the sensitivity of both motion and sound that is detected.
Under motion you also have a Detection Zone, This allows you can grey out the area’s you don’t want the camera to trigger. Great feature to eliminate the passing cars etc.
Event Recordings:
Here you can turn ‘Detection Motion’ and/or’ Detection Sound’ on or off for EVENTS. If subscribed to one of the plus or pro services you can also then tell it to detect a person, vehicle, package or pet.
Notifications:
Here you can turn all Notifications On or Off. When turned on you can tell it to detect motions and or sound.
Alarm Setting:
Here you can turn on a smoke alarm or CO alarm. If they camera hears one of those alarms it'll generate a 12 second alert video and send you a push notification. This is great for that second home/Cabin.
Advanced Settings:
Here you can change the following settings:
Night vision conditions, night vision IR lights, camera status light, rotate image 180 degrees, show timestamp, show Waze logo, record sound and sync time.
I also really like the ability to click on the Bell icon to turn off notification from the home page. You can also create custom icons and place on the home page as well, like ‘I’m Home’ or ‘I’m away’ etc.
Once you tap the camara you want to see, you can begin playback. Here you can scroll through the timeline to replay video. I do wish the events would be highlighted in a different color on the timeline. Of course, if you have the camera set to notify you for events then you can view those on the EVENTS page. I have paired each camera with the micro-SD card, so you get 24 hr recording for as long as your card will store. Maybe a few days to a week plus depending on the size of your card. This allows you to also view recording without a subscription. For the cost, I did subscribe to Cam Plus though. (I encourage you to visit the Wyze website for a comparison of plans offered.
Wi-Fi Connection has been flawless so far. Viewing live stream is fast as well, about 3 to 4 seconds from the time you request the view on your phone.
Another cool feature I found was the ability to view my camera feed online from a web browser, (view.wyze.com/live) you must be a Cam Plus subscriber.
Subscriptions are reasonably priced as well.
Honestly there are too many features to list here without writing a book. Bottom line, these little camara’s and the company behind them are pretty amazing. And the cost…well in my opinion they are an incredible value.
I have already recommended these to others!

Impressive Camera at a Great Price
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Wyze Cam is now up to version 3. This package comes as a set of 2 cameras and use the Wyze app for either Apple or Android for its user interface. The package comes with the 2 cameras, (2) 6-ft USB cables, 2 USB wall chargers, 2 screw/anchor sets, (2) 3M tape circles, 2 metal circle washers, and 2 quick start guides. Manufacturer's warranty is 1 year.
PROS:
---------
* This is one of the most comprehensive cameras at a really great price point. The features for what you pay for is very impressive & easy to use.
* This is a plug-in only model, so there is no battery. With the cost of batteries, this is my preferred method especially if you have a hard-to-reach camera. Replacing batteries also means you typically have to reposition the camera which can be tedious if you have multiple cameras especially when mounted up high.
* The cam v3 can be mounted with the provided screws/anchors, via magnetic base, using the 3M sticky pad, as-is on the rubber-footed base, or even via bolt if you remove the base completely - I think it's a basic tripod 3/8" connection. The connection point is quite versatile and can also be rotated if using the circular base and even mounted upside down if needed. The video stream can be adjusted in the app.
* You can read about all of the features in the specs but the main ones I liked were Color night vision, local microSD storage, notifications via app of movements/sounds, a dedicated "user-defined area" that would trigger an event, ability to turn off all LEDs on the face, 2-way talk, siren, ability to turn on/off via schedule, and the ability to use outdoors. You can even turn the camera on/off manually at any time in the app.
* The 6' thin ribbon cable can offer the ability to install a bit more stealth-like. It can be painted as well if needed. USB extension cables can also be used of extra length is needed.
* You can setup rules for event triggers. (ie. if the camera sees that you have arrived, a rule could be created to turn on certain lights in your home using one of the assistants - Google/Alexa).
* The night vision is quite good. I had very little light when I used my camera in my side yard, and it nearly looked like daytime.
* This camera offers storage via either microSD card or via Cloud. There is a trial period for Cloud storage before you have to pay for more time. Since I use microSD cards, I did not explore pricing or using the Cloud.
CONS:
---------
* The use of microUSB cables are the one drawback from these camera cables. Anything going forward should use (at least in my opinion) USB-C connections. MicroUSB only fit one way and also have a tendency to break easier than USB_C. These cables will likely not be plugged/unplugged a lot, so perhaps that is why they opted for these types of cables.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS:
------------------------------------
* The app loads rather quickly and shows the cameras you have on the main screen. You have to scroll down to view them all.
* This camera only uses WI-FI in the 2.4GHz frequency. It does not utilize 5GHz. This is preferred since 2.4GHz will still allow for good transmission of video streams and offer more distance, especially if placing outside or further away from your router or Mesh antenna system.
* MicroSD card compatibility: Supports 8GB/16GB/32GB microSD cards in FAT32 format -OR- up to 256GB microSD cards in exFAT format
CONCLUSION:
============
This review could easily take up an entire page with feature descriptions and app benefits but I have listed the ones that seemed to be the most important to me and "most" people. These cameras are insanely versatile and the features are numerous. For the price, this may be one of the best-bang-for-buck cameras available. The 1080p picture is not 4K, but you're not paying for 4K either. With the different mounting options available, it would be tough to find someplace where it couldn't go unless you simply couldn't get power or a decent WI-FI signal to the location. Since there is no battery option, corded power is the only way to make it work. Again, this is still my preferred method due to having to adjust the viewing angle so often when changing batteries. I highly recommend, and would definitely purchase more to add to my current pair. Great product, Wyze!

Great Starter Camera - Worth the Upgrade from V2
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The Wyze Cam V3 has been out for about 2 years now and is (obviously) an update of the V2. I have been a V2 user for 2.5-3 years now so I am pretty familiar with the Wyze setup and ecosystem. I have been eyeballing the upgrade to the V3 for awhile now, so I am happy to try these out. I use my Wyze cameras to check in on my dog when we are out, keep an eye on the kids if they are home alone, and just for general video coverage.
The V3 comes in as an entry level camera option that has a broad set of features available to it. It records in HD (1080p) at 20fps and has a 130° field of view. The camera base allows for easy mounting options, and its articulation means you shouldn’t have any problem setting it up for a level view no matter the mounting surface.
Setup for the camera was simple and easy to accomplish. It took all of 2 minutes to connect 1 camera, and I had zero issues making the connection. In my experience setting up IoT devices – Wyze has consistently been the easiest and most reliable. When you setup the camera you have the option to signup for one of their subscription models. The cameras come with basic motion alerts without a subscription, but you would have to opt in if you wanted anything more advanced. There are 3 tiers – CamPlus Lite, CamPlus, and CamPlus Pro. You can check out their website to see if one of these plans offers something you need. I personally don’t need it on my indoor cameras other than basic motion tracking if I am gone on vacation.
Accessing the camera is done through the app. There’s a couple second startup time whenever you want to stream a camera’s view, which is unchanged from my V2’s. Image quality looks good and its sharp enough to differentiate details. The 20fps certainly helps smooth the picture out (V2 is only 15fps), but it’s a step down from cameras that are at 30fps. If you setup motion alerts there’s only a few second delay from the event to the notification pinging your phone, and its only a few more seconds before you are viewing the event itself on your phone. This whole process works well, and hasn’t sprung any issues up on me.
I live in a pretty safe neighborhood, but I still a full outdoor setup with wired and wireless mixed systems, floodlight camera, and doorbell camera. I have a full view of the exterior of my house and property, as well as some fire alarm/glass break sensors inside. However, I only had 2 indoor cameras because I didn’t feel a huge need for a lot of indoor coverage when I was doing all of my camera systems. As my kids have gotten older, and we have gotten pets I have pivoted a bit on that thought a bit.
Since I have a wired outdoor system I used the V3’s indoors. However, these are outdoor rated which is pretty cool. The V2 was not rated for outdoor use, so it’s a nice upgrade. Along with the outdoor rating the V3 brought about several improvements and changes from the older V2. Aspects that were changed from the V2 to the V3 include updates to audio/mic, nightvision mode, local storage, and mounting options.
The V2 had a USB port for local storage, which has been changed to a MicroSD slot. I never used the local storage option on the V2, but I do appreciate this upgrade. MicroSD has been getting increasingly cheaper, so being able to load up a large SD card will be easier for me than USB. The V3 supports 32GB cards formatted in FAT32 and larger cards up to 256GB formatted as exFAT. I can tell by looking at the Wyze forums that there is an issue with cards larger than 128GB not using the full storage (stopping at 90GB of usage), and that a fix is on the way and currently in Beta. Continuous recording seems to use 9-10GB/day at HD quality, so a 128GB card gives you about 14 days, but if you need longer you can check the release notes for this fix to be released (current firmware is 4.36.9.139 released in May ’22).
My biggest gripe with the V2 was the audio/mic – it was push-to-talk walkie talkie style that had some real difficulty with garbled noise and sound getting cut off. The V3 went to a streaming 2-way audio setup, which is worlds better. Its honestly the best out of all of my camera systems – you can actually hold a conversation, and you don’t have to constantly press the mic button to talk like with my other systems. You just toggle on the mic and you can freely talk back and forth. Volume from the camera isn’t too bad – I wish it was a bit louder, but it does the job fine.
The nightvision has been greatly improved. The V2 would kick into B/W nightvision when a room was still fairly lit, which was somewhat frustrating at times. The V3, with its color nightvision, works so much better. Its low light threshold for going to B/W is a lot low than the V2, so I get color images in decently lower light with the V3. The image clarity has also sharpened in low light color and in B/W – not that the V2 looked bad in this area, but it appears to have a little better image processing.
The V3 comes with 2 new mounting options. You still have the magnetic base than allows you to stick the camera to a metal surface, or you can make you own metal surface with the included metal disc and patch of 3M doublesided tape. Both of these mounting options work great and I have used them for years without issue on my V2. The newest options are a keyhole slot for wall mounting and a ¼-20 threaded mount. The keyhole slot is in the bottom of the stand base. The threaded hole is accessed by removing the screw that holds the stand to the camera body itself. From here you can use any ¼-20 wall mount to put the camera up.
The V3 comes with a USB power charger and cable. These cameras still use microUSB for power, which was useful for me when I did a direct replacement of a V2 camera. The connection is made to the camera via a pigtail wire off the camera body. These connection is done inside a silicon rubber boot, which helps to seal the cable connection against the elements if used outdoors.
Overall, the V3 is a huge improvement over the V2 and it offers a good amount of value. The V3 cameras are rock solid dependable, easy to setup, and easy to interact with. If you are looking to get a few cameras to keep an eye on things or to expand an existing camera setup, these should be on your radar.

affordable security cameras, requires AC power.

The Wyze Cam v3 with Color Night Vision, 1080p HD Indoor/Outdoor Security Camera is an affordable option for video surveillance, but requires a per camera cloud subscription to get full AI features. The design is a standard Wyze camera design, essentially a square with a swiveling expanding mount which makes it handy to mount in many places as long as you have a nearby power source. For outdoor use the camera is certified as IP65 Weather resistant. The camera only does 1080p HD video, while the competition is starting to move towards 4K resolution. In any case the clarity of the video is still pretty good and the night vision about the best at this price point. Wyze claims to have “color night vision" which is unique as most night vision (driven by LED infrared lighting) usually is black, white and grey. The Starlight Sensor is what allows color night vision, and it does a decent job, but I still prefer the standard night vision mode, unless you have a decent amount of ambient light to support the color version.
Setup of the camera was fairly easy, with voice prompts and indicator lights, the mobile app does a very good job and leverages a QR code for the camera to scan to identify, configure and join the camera to your Wi-Fi network. As for detection, the motion sensing is decent but I often encountered recordings which started quite a bit after first detecting motion, I played with the settings a bit but never could really get the camera to be as responsive as I would expect in detecting motion.
Overall if you are already vested in the Wyze device eco-system the Wyze Cam v3 is definitely an improvement over earlier versions, is it up to par with some other security camera solutions, depends on your use case. I prefer the flexibility of a fully battery powered for placement purposes, so it that case it may make sense to look at their Wyze Cam Outdoor or another manufacturer, however those are usually significantly more expensive.
Pros:
- Nice design
- Fairly clean, artifact free video
- Night vision modes, long range from the IR LEDs
- Micro SD card slot, for local recordings, time lapse
- Works with Google assistant, Alex and IFTTT
Cons:
- Cloud subscription can get pricey if you have multiple cameras
- Smart AI Detection only available with Cam Plus subscription

A Wyze Choice for Your Security Needs
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Having cameras around your property is always a good deterrent for thieves and is also just a great way to keep an eye on your property when away. I had 4 Wyze v2 cameras hooked up when the offer to test the Wyze v3 came to me. This review will be pretty short and sweet as most people are now familiar with Wyze cameras and how they operate, but I’ll try to detail the standout features of the cameras and the Wyze services that are offered. Overall impressions will be up first, followed by a breakdown of my experience with the cameras.
Overall impressions:
Wyze is still a leader in the budget home security and automation market. The Wyze v3 cams offer great performance in any lighting condition, fantastic basic features, and an sd card slot for local recording. The Wyze app has improved over the years and holds it’s own now with other video monitoring apps out there. Unfortunately, a lot of advanced functionality is behind a paywall, but I have found that most people will find the free Wyze cloud service to be enough for their needs and if you pair the camera with an sd card you can get around some of the limitations by recording continuously on the camera itself.
Wyze has always been a leader in the value market for home security and automation, this doesn’t change with the Wyze v3 cameras. They retail at a very affordable price and come in multi-packs like the white ones I received. The marked improvements over the v2 cameras are weather resistance and color night vision. The build quality of the v3 cameras is much better than the v2 and the camera looks and feels like a much nicer product than the previous iterations.
You’ll receive everything you need to install your Wyze v3 in the box and should be able to mount the camera just about anywhere that a power source is available. I have my cameras set up on the eve of my garage and on the outside of the house in the backyard area. These two areas are exposed to weather constantly and the v2 cameras took a beating in these spots. Those old cameras came down with yellowed plastic and dirt-filled SD card slots, but they still worked. These v3 cameras come with a cover for the sd card slot which should eliminate one of those issues, but only time will tell how well they hold up to the elements.
Installing the cameras was as easy as mounting them on my existing magnetic mounts from my v2 cameras. If you’re installing these for the first time, it’s really as easy as mounting the magnetic mount with the included double-sided tape and attaching the camera to it. I’ve had no issues with the cameras falling or even shifting due to weather or wind using these magnetic mounts. If you want something more sturdy, screw mounting is also available.
Setting up the cameras is also easy with the Wyze app. It’s a matter of scanning a QR code and following the setup procedures. A firmware update will most likely be needed, but after that, the camera shows up in your Wyze app and you can adjust settings, detection zones, alerts, notifications, and other settings like night vision. You also receive a free trial of the Cam Plus service that does allow you to add enhanced recording and other features to the camera like AI detection of persons, vehicles, etc.
The service offerings by Wyze at the moment are a little confusing and a little expensive in my opinion. They are offering services on a per-camera basis, which is fine if you only have one or two cameras, but in my situation, I have 6 cameras and the cost is just a bit higher than I’m willing to pay. I do not use any of the enhanced services and have purchased sd cards for all the cameras so that I can locally record continuous footage in case I need to review something that doesn’t fit in the recording windows that the free service provides.
Mind you, the services offered by Wyze will most definitely be helpful and utilized by many people, but they just do not offer enough to justify the price for me personally. I commend Wyze for giving us the option to add an sd card to be able to store continuous recordings though as some cameras, especially in this price range, do not have this feature.
Well-lit areas will see the camera excel with the camera’s higher frame rate and crisper video quality, the v3 exceeds Wyze’s older offerings in every category. The Wyze v3 performs like a camera twice as expensive and I don’t think anyone will be disappointed with how it functions. Sure there isn’t any fancy zoom feature, it can’t rotate by itself and it doesn’t have a laser that shocks intruders, but it does have a siren now and records video in the direction you point it at. Detection settings are all adjustable within the app and work well to minimize notifications in areas that you don’t care about.
The night vision is much improved on the v3, allowing for color night vision in certain scenarios. I like to leave all the night vision settings on “auto” as the setting seems to work quite well for me. The 2 cameras I have situated outside seem to record in color night vision mode just fine as there is some ambient lighting from the houses and street lights in my neighborhood, while the cameras in the garage revert to black and white night vision due to it being pitch black in there at night. Black and white night vision tends to capture footage better in lower light conditions, while color night vision works better when some light is available.
My only two gripes with the Wyze v3 are that it is not compatible with the older Wyze Sense snap-on module for the back of the v2 cameras and that some features are locked behind a paywall. If you do not have a v2 camera available to continue using the older style sense hub, you will be forced to purchase their separate Wyze Hub to continue using the other sense products such as door and window sensors. If you don’t mind not having advanced features like AI motion detection, package detection, people detection, etc, then the paywall limitation probably won’t affect you either.

The Wyze Cam v3 is impressive and I'm enjoying it so far. The 2 pack of cameras are quite nice in aesthetic appearance, offer a great picture quality, and are fairly inexpensive. This 2 pack of cameras offer up a very crisp and clear 1080pm HD video quality. I'm new to the Wyze products and this app does a great job at walking me through the initial setup process. The app is also very user friendly to use on a daily basis with video feeds and alerts.
This particular camera has been great since it is IP65 and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Just needs a plug outlet to have access to and it works great for both day and night usage. Inside the box you get all the essentials of what is needed for the cameras to be up and running. Included are 2 cameras which are the Wyze Cam V3, camera charging USB cable, the mounting hardware, a quick start guide, and screw assembly. You will need to download the Wyze app from your device's app store. The Wyze Cams have allowed me to communicate with people with clear audio via 2 way audio connection. I like the fact that there are also AI enabled motion and sound detection that keeps me notified about various activity that is occuring on my camera when I'm away. Another great cost saving feature that is going to help me save money is the ability to insert a MicroSD card and retain activity recordings on my own device, versus the paid cloud service. This has the ability to be used via the Wyze cloud and the paid service, if you should decide to do so. For an even smarter home function, these Wyze Cams are compatible with Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa. A new feature that I learned about with the Wyze Cam v3 is the Color Night Vision capability. This feature gives you a more enhanced visual of the camera footage at night time without the shades of gray coloring. It might help for advanced night time security in case I need to identify a color of a vehicle or clothing color.
These cameras are small and tiny, but very feature rich and quite useful for my household needs.
PRO:
Small compact size
Clear 1080p video quality
Color Night Vision feature
Indoor/Outdoor usage
MicroSD card video storage/playback

Great set of small, discreet cameras

Nice inexpensive pack of 2 cameras. The wyze v3 cams are advertised as outdoors, but they still need to be plugged into an electrical outlet with an included power adapter. While the camera is rated for outdoor use, the power adapter is not. The cameras themselves are rated for outdoors because of its IP rating for being able to withstand water splashes, rain, etc. Depending on where outdoors you might be putting this, you may be better off with a wireless battery model (those however need to be recharged from time to time). More on this further on in review.
The cameras themselves are very small, and about the size of my fingers. Super discreet and tiny, which is a good thing unless you are visually trying to deter someone. You can adjust the camera off its base up and down and side to side. The base of the camera is where you can wall mount the camera with a screw if you want, however I love that there is a magnet on the base of it too so you can mount it on something metal without needing to drill a hole. It also comes with a metal plate with adhesive backing so you can stick it up somewhere that isn’t metallic too.
Camera has an SD card slot so you can actually continuously record video to it, without having to pay for a subscription. It can also just record motion events that it detects to the SD card. Downside of this is that if a thief sees the camera, they can just take the entire camera with them. Viewing the footage is done through the Wyze app on your phone, playing back directly from the SD card in the camera. Wyze app is pretty well thought out, and offers recording options, viewing options, 2 way conversation functionality, motion sensitivity control and much more. Camera has a built-in alarm, but it is not very loud.
Camera video looks great either in day or night. Night vision works really well. I was surprised how well the picture quality was in the dark. While the camera works without any kind of paid subscription with an SD card, you can sign up for a wyze Cam Plus subscription trial for added features and cloud storage for a very inexpensive price compared to competing camera brands.
My only gripe is that I wish that they were wireless. Had they been wireless they would have been perfect for outdoor use in virtually any scenario within reach of my router. As it is in my living situation, I don’t have an outdoor outlet close enough to where I want the camera that would keep the power brick safe from possible rain/snow, or even a potential thief just yanking out the cable.
Overall, for the money these are a great set of very small and discreet cameras for most consumers. Just think about where those cameras will be installed as they are wired power cameras.

Clear, Compact quality covers from corner to cloud

There were several things I considered when getting some small, home security cameras. How does the camera mount? What’s the cloud storage fee? What options are there for local storage? What’s the image quality?
Wyse camera mounts with magnets to a metal disk included in the package. The mount is discrete and holds the camera close to the wall. However, there’s a wire coming off the back of the camera which interferes with its mounting flush in some situations. You may need to experiment with different ways of manipulating the base to get the camera at the angle and aspect that you need it to be. With some effort, you can get the coverage you want. A nice feature they include is the ability to flip the image 180 degrees. This allows for mounting on the ceiling when a wall or shelf can’t provide the needed viewpoint. I found the mount to be generally more versatile than other wired indoor cameras. However, it was less versatile than a wireless camera.
Wyse has the lowest fee of any camera on the market. At $1.49 per month, it easily beats out its competitors who charge $3-$5 per month. For your money, you get a top notch AI which recognized pets, people, and packages with great accuracy. This means your video recordings will show what’s in them when the list is reviewed. Without a subscription, cloud recordings are limited to about 15 seconds.
In addition to the cloud storage, adding a micro-SD card allows you to have continuous local recording. These local videos can be accessed from a timeline in the app, allowing for playback from whatever time is selected. A 16 GB SD card will hold about 80 hours of 1080p video. Without the local storage, clips are limited to around 2 minutes.
Overall image quality is very good. In daytime light, the colors are accurate while the image remains sharp. The Night Vision mode is fairly impressive, even if it’s only black and whites. I’ve attached some pictures showing my garage without Night Vision and with it on. The garage has almost no outside light in the evening, making the night vision critical to seeing if anything is going on. The field of view is about 175 degrees. In the view of my foyer, the camera is located in a corner and can see the entire room.
Overall, this is a compact and very capable camera. I started with the two-pack, but I believe I will shortly be adding more to my collection.

I have several properties and thought setting up some cameras for security would be a good idea. These Wyze V3 fit the bill perfectly. For starters - they are relatively cheap so if they get stolen or damaged (likely in my area) it's not a major loss. For that reason alone I'll subscribe to the Cam Plus for unlimited length video recording (back to back available) and a bunch more features (Person/Package/Vehicle/Pet detection), etc.
The fact that these v3 cameras can do Color Night Vision and don't require a base station make them perfect for my use case. They do require power though - as does most everything these days - so really not a problem.
I've set these up in a few locations already - including switching WiFi networks in the process because I wanted to know how that works. It's fairly easy - you basically just re-setup the devices.
The daytime video quality is awesome - and night time is pretty good. You won't be pulling license plates from either mode unless they are close to the cameras - but again - these are $30 cameras. I'm happy with the picture quality they provide.
There are a tone of new features with the v3 as compared to the previous v2 model. Items like IP65 weather resistance, dual IR light system, color night vision as mentioned and more.
Overall - the price is right for you to setup your home security solution today!

I have quite a few indoor/outdoor cameras in my place and these seem to be up there in terms of quality and build. Like some people, I have quite a few smart home items from different brands so that causes me to have multiple home apps on my phone. I have a Wyze door lock so these cameras seem like a good fit and potential replacement for some of my older cameras.
Design wise, there pretty small. It's about a 1 1/2 wide cube so no weird or odd shaped cameras like other manufacturers have. Lightweight and comes with all you need to get setup. Included with the package is the wall charger, mounting screws and USB cable. You can set these up pretty much anywhere and still have them somewhat discrete as they're not too big or bulky sized. These are rated for outdoor use however I am currently using them inside.
Setup was fairly quick with the Wyze app. Took about 5 minutes or so to pair up and then another 4-5 minutes to update the firmware on the cameras. Video is pretty clear and the night vision is a great touch too. For outdoor use, the color night vision should be really helpful in the event something/someone approaches the camera. There is a free 2 week trial of Wyze's camera service. However, if you don't feel like adding another subscription, there is a micro Sd slot where you can save videos locally.
Pretty snazzy little cameras. I'm still deciding on where these two will get setup in my place. Only "negative" I can think of is that the cable is a bit too short for my needs. I'll probably have to get a longer, right angle USB cable for this.

Solid indoor camera, I usually leave it laying on the floor aimed towards my dogs / cats food bowl to make sure they have food and water when I’m making that bread ( working ). It works great for the cheap price.

I love these little cameras. I really like the compact design and how you can hang them on anything metal. The picture quality is OK. It could be better but for the price I paid I understand.
